Clive is northwest of Des Moines and has been recognized for its Greenbelt Park and Trail System in the community.
Before it was the modern, family-friendly suburb it is today, Clive got its humble beginnings as a mining and railroad town. Many small businesses reside here, especially along 86th Street. University Avenue has a ton of department stores, book shops, and grocery stores. You’ll also find the Valley West Mall and Shoppes at Three Fountains on University, too.
Residents of Clive enjoy having Interstate 35 just a few short minutes from their affordable apartments. Many locals like to play golf at the nearby courses, or take the kids to the living history museum just north of the city.

We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying your home! We're also happy to hear that our management team has made a positive impact on your living experience. Thank you for your kind words.
We've lived in our 2 bed 2 bath for over a year now and we have no regrets. Everything in our apartment is high quality - flooring, cabinets, and appliances - and if there's ever something wrong, maintenance requests are easy to make and the team is lightning fast. Apartments are spacious and cozy - it's been easy to make ours feel like a home. The available amenities like the clubhouse, theater, gym, and pool are awesome. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the complex is right next to a park. We love taking walks around the area, and there's plenty of restaurants and stores nearby on Hickman. The staff throw fun events regularly where you can get a fun snack, get to know people, or enter raffles. It's great to have one of these to look forward to every month or two. Shoutout to the staff, who do a great job. We highly recommend Stonegate Crossing apartments

We moved in March 2022 and it was an easy choice. The staff are all wonderful and make you feel like you are a part of a community. The apartments are spacious with high ceilings giving a very open feeling. Anytime there are issues or need maintenance it is taken care of quickly. The community is great and located in a great area. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a new place!

Glad to hear you love living at Soll! Thanks for the wonderful feedback, we'll make sure to pass it along.
I live alone and had a tv stand delivered. I could not carry up two flights of stairs by myself. I spoke to management and they came right over and carried up for me.
MY DOG GOT WORMS 3 TIMES WHILE AT THIS COMPLEX BECAUSE THE DOG POOP PROBLEM IS SO SEVERE. I counted 65 piles of dog poop right by the park that all the kids play at. They have a system where they literally swab your dogs mouth for DNA, but there’s still 65 piles of dog poop? I also had to pay to have them swab my dogs mouth. A waste of money considering they did nothing to enforce it.. There was ALWAYS trash and glass all over the sidewalks and main walking areas. I called about a champagne bottle that was left on the middle of the sidewalk for 2 WEEKS, and the girl in the office was laughing with her coworker instead of even listening to me. Management is a joke. Very dirty, I had carpet in my unit that was so worn out that it was coming off the floor. There was also mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom, and a SEVERE pest problem. Flies, ants, and spiders were everywhere. The poor insulation is no joke either. My heating bill was insane for just a one bedroom. Usually costed me about $150-175 per month just because it’s so drafty and could not stay warm. I will be speaking with the city about their overall filth.
Not even little adjustments as like other apartments.mainly rude staff members.not standing in words.got irritated if we talk for 5 mins..
We have lived at Stonegate Crossing for a year and it is the best apartment complex in terms of price and quality as well as attention of management and staff to tenants. We truly felt this place being our home because it is located in a quite neighborhood. In particular, we liked white finishes in the kitchen and bathroom that stand out of many properties that have standard brown finishes. The office management makes every effort to feel their tenants comfortable in the units and within a property. The maintenance stuff has always fixed all the issues in a timely manner. The complex is quite new and looks fresh. Having an outdoor pool and gym is a huge advantage because not a lot of properties can offer these perks on site. We also enjoyed a free garage as part of move-in promotion. I highly recommend this property for families and young professionals.
As others have eluded to, the construction here is not good. It wasn't an exaggeration that you can hear conversations verbatim sometimes, along with footsteps in the units above you, pets walking around, and my favorite - the bathroom noises from the other units. If you're already accustomed to apartment living maybe this is nothing new for you, but if you're looking for privacy, I'd urge you to keep looking. The local team is fantastic; kind, professional, and timely. The general upkeep of the property is fantastic as well. The construction however, is quite simply, just cheap. For what these units rent for you would expect, and should receive, a lot more peace and quiet, and privacy.
Lived at Stonegate Crossinng for over a year and a half and wasn't impressed with the construction, tenant population and especially lack of management. If any type of mechanical failure occurs thoughout your lease within your unit, I wouldn't expect to have maintenance even regard your request. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to reconsider as you'll most likely be able to hear your neighbors conversations (verbatim). If you have a pet, I would be sure to question what the $200 pet installation and additional monthly fee is being contributed towards, as they will require a stool sample to "track your pet". I found this hard to believe as there we're often mounds near the entrances of the buildings. Overall, not a place I'd recommend to a friend.
My husband and I have lived in many apartment due to our prior military stations. Stonegate Crossing looks nice on the surface but is over-priced and has many problems with management. We lived there for a year and in that time: 3 leasing employees came and went. We had multiple major problems with our apartment due to faulty construction. We had ice coming through an outlet, which was extremely hazardous. Our breaker would constantly pop if we had the microwave running at the same time as a hair dryer. We could hear our neighbors, and we had a horribly noisy upstairs neighbor. I complained for months, due to our small baby, but the manager/management did nothing to help us. We were woked up by the noisy neighbor almost every night. There were 3 car thefts while we there. The property was not kept cleaned, as there was debris and trash often in the parking lot. Management got rid of recycling to save property money. And management charge residents for water/sewer/trash even though there are not individual meters. They hire a company to send ridiculous high bills to each apartment to over charge residents for what should be included in rent. Our 1BR apartment was charged $95 a month for water/sewer/trash. I now own a large home and pay $30 a month for the same bill. Management charged us $135 cleaning fee (amongst other fees) when moving out, and told us at the moveout walk through that they would not charge for cleaning- due to our apartment being so clean. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Stonegate Crossing or Hubbell Realty. Very disappointed in our whole experience. Go elsewhere!
The apartment is newly built and we loved the settings and especially the spacious rooms. The staff is really helpful in answering questions and managing issues such as mail delivery and regular maintenance. The Club house and movie rooms are great to use if you are into them and the gym as well. Highly recommend it to someone who is looking to have a quality life in Clive. Iris Wang
Stone-gate Crossing apartment is located in a serene environment where family values for quality is a major priority. With proximity to schools, highways and several other city infrastructures the demand for accommodation is highly competitive with great value for money. Any one considering safety, neatness, crime-free neighbor, cost effective luxury where family can relax with peace of mind and sleep well should consider relocating to stone-gate apartment. The taste of the pudding is in eating. A short visit to inspect the facilities will keep you spell bound. Each apartment is equipped with washer and drying machines, while the kitchen is presented with latest state-of-art facilities to make cooking and eating fun. The reception and the court yard that accommodate swimming pool and basket-ball field with children play center makes recreation a major attraction/
One of the very few apartment complexes in Waukee, Clive area - especially this far West of Des Moines. On top of it, great stainless steel appliances, walk-in closet, an actual laundry room , and one of my favorite things an island in the kitchen. I have a nice sized patio were my view is a pasture, trees, and a day-care but they are never opened when I'm home so very quiet.
