Southside Indianapolis is an up-and-coming community filled with affordable housing, great schools, and a welcoming environment. The city of Greenwood is home to the Greenwood Park Mall, a massive indoor shopping center with department stores, specialty shops, a food court, and more. Even more outdoor shopping centers can be found within the city. Southside is only 15 miles south of Downtown Indianapolis, making it a great neighborhood for commuters. Interstates 65 and 465 and U.S. Highway 31 make commuting to and from this sprawling district simple. Local restaurants and shops reside throughout this close-knit community, including Mrs. Curl Ice Cream Shop and Revery, a New American eatery serving up seasonal cuisine and craft beers in a hip space.

Property Ratings at Stonehedge Apartments
If you want to live in the slums of Greenwood you’re in the right place. This property was nice when I first moved in and has declined in the last 6 months or so. They should definitely revisit their screening criteria. I will not be renewing my lease.
The change in management was needed. We now have management that genuinely cares for their residents and makes this community an amazing place to live. The landscaping is well kept. It says something when you get to see kids playing outside together for hours at a time. To me that means it is both safe and friendly.
I love living here moved here about two months ago. I think the office team is amazing and super friendly!! You feel welcomed as soon as you walk into the office. The maintenance team is great and responds quickly. I love the layout of the apartments and think the upgrades the team here has done to the appliances and other aspects of the apartment really have made it feel like home. I recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a new place.
I lived here for over 8 years. Within 3 months of ardizzone purchasing it, I moved out. They over paid for the complex and are now charging WAY too much for apartments that aren’t worth it. And to now top it off, they just sent me a bill for damages!! They’re want me to pay for new carpet and paint after living there, with pets for 8 years! They are required to do that! They tried to charge me over a thousand dollars for stuff they have to do! Rent at your own risk!!!
Property Manager at Stonehedge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. For our renovations, we go above and beyond the typical renovation. Our updated units included new flooring, brand new appliances, new light fixtures, an in-unit washer and dryer and much more from an interior standpoint. In regard to your damages, due to the review being anonymous can you please reach out to us at residentrelations@tag-living.com? We'd like to discuss your charges with you personally. Thank you, Stonehedge Apartments & The Ardizzone Group
Truly unacceptable behavior and professionalism. Nothing but terrible experiences. We are moving in less than 1 month thankfully however they would not wait to do renovations on our apartment. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment that’s maybe 700 square feet and they renovated the kitchen and the bathroom at the same time and required all contents be out of those areas. Which means everything got squeezed into boxes and our 1 bedroom has become even smaller. They asked several times if we had our own washer/dryer and I said yes several times. That was the only communication about that. Then on renovation day they bring in another washer/dryer and said well your washer/dryer can stay in the living room until you move and they would not budge on waiting to install theirs. So now even less space to be able to move around. They tried to write on their notice of renovation that we could not be here while the renovations were done and that they were not liable if anything was lost or broken, I was able to tell them they couldn’t tell us we can’t be in our own apartment. However, if one of the workers stole something that letter saved them against any liability. The absolute worst type of management, completely do not care about your rights as a tenant. Not to mention, for people not moving they increased rent by almost $300/month and for people moving they increased it by almost $500/month.
We've lived here for four years, and the staff (especially maintenance) has always been very nice. There are occasionally loud/obnoxious neighbors, but they tend to move out quickly. The apartment complex offers the first month free of rent, which can sometimes attract people who don't take care of the property, but it's not a huge problem. The apartments themselves have fairly thick walls and a little bit of charm that you don't find in newer apartments.
I moved in Aug.2013 and me and my husband loved it until when we started looking else where for a bigger apartment that has washer and dryers in them. When I called the office for exactly what they needed for us to move out and the assistant that is in the office told me that I needed to write a letter saying when I was moving out. So I completed that task and I gave them several call backs asking all kinds of questions. Then I called to see if we needed to sign papers when we moved out and the assistant said no they just need the keys back with an forwarding address so I said ok and asked when we would get our deposit back and she said we would get it in the mail 30 days after we move out. 40 days later I still haven't received a check from them. I called the office on Saturday to see where the check was and the assistant said she would have to check with the manager to see since she handles all that and so she said she would give me a call back on Monday when she was in so I said ok. She gives me a call back 15 minutes later and she told me that they never received our rent from July and they will not send the check til they get rent. My husband and I always paid cash since we didn't have checks yet and they never gave us receipts to show we paid rent so we always assumed they received it. And I talked to the manager of the apartments to double check to make sure what exactly we owed on our last months of rent and I turned it in that day. When the assistant called me back and was telling me they never received it I told her exactly what happened and she said they have no proof of us turning it in and we need to prove it that we paid it. When you pay cash how else our we suppose to prove we paid with cash besides our bank statements??! She said that when we show them the proof then they will give us our check. I called several times in July and they never once said anything to me about not paying rent and I never got a note at my door saying I didn't pay like most apartment complex do. This apartment complex does not have their act together in the office. We have always struggled getting stuff taking care of maintenance wise and the neighbors we had always smoked so your whole apartment smelled like smoke. And people were not friendly. I will not tell people about this apartment complex anymore and I will not send people to live there.
