As one of the oldest state capitals in the country, Albany is rich in history. The city’s architecture is truly stunning, giving the community a timeless quality. The NY State Museum and the Albany Institute of History and Art are local landmarks, bringing locals the opportunity to soak in a collection of permanent and rotating exhibitions.
The nightlife in Albany is an eclectic mix sure to please any taste, from breweries to comedy clubs, primarily along Pearl Street and Lark Street. Sports fans always have something to keep them occupied, from ValleyCat baseball games at Bruno Stadium in the summer to Devils hockey matches in the winter.
Nearly 20,000 students attend classes at SUNY Albany, and their influence on the local culture can be felt in the Midtown Strip area, near the downtown campus.

Property Ratings at Stonehenge Gardens
Lived at Stonehenge for the past year. Moving from the West coast, Sam and his team - and the beautiful facilities, made it a very easy to transition to the NY environment. A very responsive management staff and outstanding maintenance team. My neighbors were awesome and we even had monthly bbq's / potlucks / birthday celebrations together. When I moved out, they were more than understanding of the "wear and tear" that occurred during my stay, and did not try to nickle and dime me. Although a little expensive for me, I 10/10 would live there again.
Pros: - Convenient location - Well kept outdoors - Free storage space (if needed) - Laundry facilities - Secure neighborhood Cons: - Very old buildings - Two TL plug fuses for electrical panel - Cheap maintenance - Mold - Leaks - Pests (in apartment) - Abuse of garbage disposal privileges - Failed heating - Expensive garage leasing - Maintenance trespassing your apartment with or without notification - Twice per year 'smoke/CO detectors inspections'. If no one is there, it becomes a whole apartment inspection. - Yearly rent increases - Hypocrite, not helpful management - Minimal/non-existent apartment rehab for new tenants Recommendations: - Like all these companies, they will squeeze as much as they can of you every year with the least effort until you are fed up and move somewhere else. Then the cycle will start again with a new tenant. - Change your lease terms to a month by month basis if you are thinking of getting out of there or deciding to buy a home... This will save you a lot of headaches and money in the long term.

Very old buildings. We had a couple of mice in our apartment and you can’t control shower water sometimes it boiling hot and all of a sudden becomes icy cold. And last thing when we were moving out and cleaned everything using special stuff that we bought specifically for the kitchen and bathhroom they charged us the whole amount of the security deposit and wouldn’t answer when I try to contact them!!!!!

I was hesitant to move to a complex because of my fear of living so close to so many other people. Since day one, I have loved every minute of being here. Huge rooms, fresh rug, quiet friendly neighbors, maintenance on top of their game, beautiful surroundings, and a friendly staff. Theres a pond right behind the building with fountains, benches, and a park. Access to the sister properties pool during the summer. Nothing but love for this place. I'm glad I took the chance on it. Everyone who visits me here falls in love instantly!
