Property Ratings at Stonelake
Still need help with ants Maintenance and the pest technician did great job. They both deserve 5 stars. The issue is that I still have ants coming through the pipes in the bottom of the tub.
Wonderful place! The front office team is always helpful in answering questions and getting back to us in a timely manner, the maintenance people do a good job too.
Late heads-up about brunches, no one fixed the issues identified in the initial inspection of apartment, trash system is pointless.
I love Stonelake! I’ve had a great experience living at Stonelake Apartments. The staff is very responsive. Moving from across the country, it was important to me that I feel safe wherever I live. I definitely do in this neighborhood. Additionally, the property is maintained well.
Wonderful community We toured the apartment community of Stonelake and were very impressed. The staff in the leasing office were great and helped us every step of the way. Spencer was a great tour guide, so professional and answered all of our questions. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Highly recommend!
Love this place Staff and maintenance quick to respond and very helpful. Quiet and no one bothers me. That’s what I was looking for
They are remodeling all the apt, but if you look close at the listed amenities and add-ons they list things multiple times, like they have a pool under one benefit, but list they have resort pools under anther benefit. Overall nice and safe place to live, but do not trust the management, they will lie to you, your basic rent quickly adds up when they add additional fees, some features they list don't exsist, like there is no courtesy patrol, it even says so in the lease. If the management can lie to you, they will try to get you to pay for anything. Like I say they are trying to be a high end apt complex, but in reality it is a mid-level apt complex that has a nice shine to it, but watch what you sign or it could cost you the already over-priced apts.
If you enjoy being lied to, taken advantage of, and ignored this place is for you! It wasn’t till after we signed our “Welcome Letter” did Gavin and not Shy who helped us get the application started let us know that there was a $75 stainless steel appliance fee that was NOT included in rent. 1) who does that, apartments should come with them and trust me my new apartment does 2) Shy lied on my boyfriend and his mother and told me she told them about it when she 1,000% did not because that’s something we would have remembered. After we found that out we withdrew our application because we determined this place was definitely not for us, we called multiple times during the week and received no answer. They finally called us back three days later and we let them no we no longer wanted to live there, they let us know the $200 deposit fee was non-refundable after 72 hrs but by the time management finally contacted us it had already been over 72 hours and they claimed there was nothing they could do. The practices they do here are completely unacceptable and I wouldn’t recommend this place to friends, family, or really anyone for that matter. PLEASE DON’T RENT HERE.
PLEASE READ!!!!! Stonelake apartments are horrible and honestly was one of my biggest mistakes (please don’t let it be yours) The first sign I made a mistake was notices only living here for 2 and a halfweeks, I had family and friends over and my cousin had brought her puppy. Me not thinking anything of it since it would only be for the night raised no concern to me until I get a call and email stating “my dog” had peed everywhere and an oder was forming and I was instructed to clean it up, instantly I was upset contacted the office and advised them no pet lived with me and that was that, then a day or so later I was contacted again stating there was pictures of me and “my dog” that one of my neighbors had and being previously stalked before I was concerned and scared to know someone would even threaten that. Me knowing it wasn’t true put me at ease, I went to the office to file my complaint and that was that now fast forwarding to now I had an inspection today and asked they address and help with the growing mold in one of my bed rooms. I was advised from maintenance that was from cooking in my kitchen which I don’t do much of and they might contact me tomorrow to look at it again. Overall being here for 3 months have been the worst 3 months of any residency I’ve been, since I am pregnant I’m looking for this mold issue to be resolved accordingly
Property Manager at Stonelake, Responded To This Review
Hello and thank you for review. Our intention was never to offend you regarding the unauthorized pet (guest) as we were just following up on complaints we were receiving. Unfortunately, we've had a difficult time communicating effectively and would like to publicly apologize. Regarding the moisture issue in your apartment; we've taken this very seriously and mitigated all sources and took proper steps to repair. Again, we do our very best to provide excellent customer service and provide a wonderful community to call home. We again would like to make the remainder of your lease term excellent and make you feel welcome. Have a wonderful day!
Beware! What you pay is NOT the amount you signed for on your lease. Add approximately $200 more to monthly rate, depending on the size of your family and trash is not included as it states. That's an additional bill, to include in your rental payment. They also shorten the lease every renewal, to raise your rates sooner. So please reconsider before you sign. Beautiful neighborhood and great school, but the apartments can run amok with the additional required fees.
My wife and I moved to Stonelake apartments only to live a nightmare. My wife is 7 months pregnant, and I transferred and was starting a new job/position. After being in the apartment for about an hour we both started to have severe allergy like symptoms and never ceased. When we would go out side they were fine, we ended up sitting in our car for 3 hours just so we can breathe and figure out what to do. We shouldn't have stayed the night but we did... did not get any sleep and my beautiful wife was suffering all night. She has not had asthma symptoms in 4 years and they came back that night in our apartment. having asthma attacks while pregnant is very dangerous and scary. That morning I called a carpet cleaner and had them deep clean the carpets at my expense. We didnt go in the appt that day. and tried staying one more night hoping that would help, but it did not. I brought it up to the manager (Kelly) and said we needed new carpets. (again I know my rights, and as a landlord myself) Yeah the carpet is the cheapest grade apartment carpet, it was 4 years old, most last 4-7 years. some shorter with pets etc. they refused to change them. Not only that but the carpets have dangerous nails sticking out at most tack strips from the transitions from linoleum to carpet. Its was $1200 to replace the carpet, and essentially $600 out of pocket as they have "half of their life left" I have a family and a wife (including myself) to take care of. I didnt want to fight this and didnt want to be with a complex and management that originally said they would do anything to make our say great, as we had a miserable application process that took over 2 weeks to finalize. Having to act for the well being of my family we were forced to leave. We spent the most stressful 3 weeks of both of our lives living from hotel to hotel having to move all of our stuff AGAIN!! Me starting a new job (I had to take 2 weeks off of work because of this with no pay) trying to find a place to live was unbearable!! Update: Turns out there was a good amount of Mold in our apartment from the professional lab tests we had done. See the picture of the results under the pictures! PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE!!
I like my apartments because you still feel like you have the privacy of a home. They are very clean and well kept up with regular maintenance as well.
Found the apartment of my dreams on apartments.com!!! Has all the immenities I was looking for and several I didn't know existed! Who expects to have a whole house fan in an apartment? Or a Roman tub? Or have a backyard that's a nature preserve? Not to mention the community is immaculate and so quiet! The rooms are so open and inviting. High ceilings, two-tone paint and so much storage space! I'm incredibly happy here!
I am an apartment dweller again, after many years in a private home. I have found that the Stonelake Apartment Community meets all of my needs very well. The office staff is professional, very friendly and always helpful. The grounds are well maintained and lovely, with many mature trees and a very settled feel for such a relatively young facility. The pools are clean and very accessible. The Fitness Room is well appointed and open 24/7. My own apartment is spacious, was very clean when I moved in, is well designed and I love my first floor patio. I'm just 15 minutes from work, another big plus. As a surgeon, waiting to do an after hours case, I can pop home and wait in the comfort of my own home, rather than sitting in my office. I am aware of the nearness of I-5, but have already gotten used to the background sounds of that river! I am happy here and very glad to have found Stonelake Apartments!
