On the eastern bank of the Hudson River lies the suburb of Troy, New York. With a population of almost 50,000, Troy is an affordable city with great rental opportunities. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Russel Sage College are two great universities in Troy.
Golfing is common in Troy with the a 247-acre public course with 18-holes, an ice rink, tennis courts, and a nature trail that surrounds Bradley Lake. Frear Park Municipal Golf Course is a great place for the family, located on Lavin Court. Closer to Hudson River on River Street, there are notable bars and restaurants such as Brown’s Brewing, classic American grub, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, southern-style meats and draft brews in a retro setting.
After you become a resident of Troy, travel over to the river and get a drink at Lucas Confectionery, an industrial-chic wine bar, and visit Riverfront Park to enjoy the picturesque views of Hudson River.

Property Ratings at Stoneledge LLVP LLC
I was forced to give this place 1 star in order to post but it really gets 0 stars from this two year tenant, who just recently moved out. Like another former tenant said, the tenant is blamed for anything that goes wrong in the units... and if you have pets, you definitely DON'T want to live here. The "pet fee" you pay apparently is just for the privilege of having a pet - it's non-refundable and doesn't offset the cost of any damage that they do. I cannot say this strongly enough - unless you plan to live here at least 5 years, don't rent here because they will charge you to replace the carpet, for example, when anywhere else I've lived they wouldn't for the same conditions. My husband and I were never late with the rent, were clean and diligent about cleaning up after our pet outside, and the thanks we get is nothing back from our deposit. This is after spending two full weekends cleaning, and vacating almost two weeks before our lease expiration. For all of our efforts and being what I feel were good tenants - we get virtually nothing back of our almost $2,000 in deposit and "fees"...? That is just wrong. Hopefully I will never be in a position to have to rent again, but if I am, I will stay far away from anything with this company. I'm honestly shocked there aren't more negative reviews, but I feel I must be honest about our experience.
I have lived here for 4 years and I am still as happy and as comfortable as I was day 1! Beautiful grounds, always maintained impeccably. Maintenance staff is kind, and quick to handle any issue's that may arise. The girls in the office are always helpful and friendly and are always there to help. Modern design and stainless appliances are great and washer and dryer in your apartment, defiantly a plus! Well lit at night, fitness room and beautiful clubhouse and a quiet area. Amazing views! Come by and check it out! You will be impressed!
It was the longest year of my life here - Stephanie ( the office manager) is downright nasty - she made living here painful on so many occasions i wanted to scream in her face after her yelling at me. Any time I had a question she was downright rude. If there were maintenance issues it was always my fault- they had an excuse for everything and tried to find a way to blame you for it. She made you feel as if you didn't have rights as a tenant. She would talk about tenants to other tenants. Also without even checking my credit or processing my application I was told i would only qualify for a basement unit. She told me this I'm assuming based on my age. Maintenance - if you can call it that. When they showed up a week or 2 later they would cob what ever they were repairing or say there was no issue at all. Maintenance is not professional and their idea of snow blowing is running a leaf blower in the wee hours of the morning aprox. 5-6am. not a snow blower -- a friggin leaf blower. Who ever built these buildings did not do a good job, the rooms were not square or level, the windows are cheap and condensate and mold, the doors are off kilter - when I inquired - you guessed it I was blamed for this! Parking - good luck - if you dont pay for a garage you wont get a spot- Love how i was questioned if my garage was being used for storage and questioned how many cars I had because there was a 2 car limit. people use the garages for storage some people have more than 1 and people have more than 2 cars and take the spots closest to the building and leave the extra cars parked there all the time and never drive them. Move out - finally the happiest day of my life - I spent the last week there making sure I cleaned everything, I rented a carpet shampoo machine, paid a cleaning service to come in. it looked perfect when I vacated the unit, and smelled pretty good as well. She told me it looked good and even mentioned how fresh it smelled. Well after me calling at the 30 day mark it took another 3 weeks to get my deposit back, when I opened the envelope I was shocked to see that I did not get the full deposit back. The reason --- excess odors in unit - when I called on it I was told yet again by the oh so lovely Stephanie that there was an odor after I left. Also i was never provided a copy of the move out inspection showing NO DEFECTS - she still will not explain this to me. My recommendation - save your money and move somewhere else
I lived at Stoneledge terrace for 3 years, 1st warning should have been after looking at these apartments and putting in an application and a week later being told all we qualified for was a basement unit - come to find out the unit we actually applied for was rented out from under us. Had to fight to be able to get a 3rd floor unit. The 1st winter came by and the parking lot was not plowed very well, my car got stuck a few times. Later on that winter as it started to warm up the roof ( on a brand new building ) started to leak. Unfortunately for me it happened on a weekend and when I called the maintenance # I was told it wasn’t considered an emergency - I’m sorry but water pouring into a bed room is an emergency. A week went by with not much done and not having a bedroom - mgmt told me to bunk up with my Roommate or sleep on the couch ... no compassion what so ever. This also happened the 2nd and 3rd year. When we asked to move units we were told that we would have to re apply and pay additional fees to switch units. When it did snow there great idea for snow removal is walking around with LEAF blowers which woke you up at 5 am. The buildings are very close together, there were many nights that even with the windows closed we could here a neighboring buildings dog barking. You could here your neighbors downstairs flushing the toilet, talking or listen to their tv. These buildings were poorly built as well, from one end of the living room to the other there was a 6” difference in height form the floor to ceiling. The sliding door was off and would not close properly or lock. . The windows would condensate horribly in the winter, we went out and bought a dehumidifier but that still didn’t help the mold from growing. When I called about that I was told it was my fault for using the shower. The last and final straw was a foul odor of sewer gas coming out of the bathroom for a good 6 months. We called and sent emails but constantly were told nothing was wrong. But the smell never went away. I spent a good week cleaning the apartment from top to bottom. Everything was pristine, upon move out inspection Stephanie flat out said wow the carpets look great for being 3 years old. Get the security deposit back and they deducted for excess pet stains and odor. The staff mainly Stephanie are down right rude, on countless occasions she was just nasty. She likes to blame everything on you the tenant and can never provide an answer or resolution.

Worst management ever, Stephanie in the office is downright rude and practically yells at you for calling or stop over to inquire about something. We have had multiple appliance break and we get blamed, same for the cabinets. There have been multiple issues with things leaking and I keep getting blamed for them as well. Trying to walk through the grass is like walking through a mine field of dog crap, and there pet area is a swamp. There is never any parking after 6pm. people use there garages for storage instead and have 4 cars. Snow removal is a joke they use a LEAF blower at 5am and then don't come back. Can hear our downstairs neighbor sneeze- no soundproofing what so ever. most recently the walls and ceiling have started to crack and yet again I was blamed for this. don't move here unless you want nothing but headaches.
Poor quality appliances, cabinetry, carpet. Look nice but they don't last. Mgt blames the tenant when they break, wear out with normal use and charge you for repairs. Not the tenants' fault they were penny wise pound foolish when they choose their materials. ...and who puts " state park" charcoal grills in a "luxury"complex ? They should show appreciation and respect to the professionals who chose to live here. The tenants are the customers...not the other way around. Maybe there would be less turnover if they did.
Stoneledge Terrace is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. You must go see them and once you do you will understand why and want to live here too. The apartments are beautiful, well kept or brand new. They are made well so they are soundproof and utilities are very affordable. The view is spectacular and the grounds are gorgeous. You feel like you are living at a 5 star resort. The management and staff are great. I can't say enough about this place you really must go see for yourself.
This is a great community. The apartments are extremely nice, management is great and all the residents are friendly. It is a great place to call home!!
These apartments are beautiful but most tenants have had multiple issues with the management. They make promises they don't keep. They make excuses and blame tenants for anything that breaks or goes wrong. They rent their clubhouse out and let the parties take over the one and only pool for the entire day, preventing us from using the pool...At least one of these parties was a privaye party of theirs. Their attires are arrogant and they just don't get that we are the customers...not them. Word of mouth is your best advertisement. No one is recommending the apts because of the way we are treated
We have been living at Stoneledge for a year now and we LOVE the apartment! The views are amazing, apartments are quiet inside and out. They are a gem in Troy. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. The pool/gym/club house is really nice. Neighbors are great, maintenance and staff are all great as well. There are a ton of different layouts to choose from, do yourself a favor and check this place out!
