Northwest, as its name suggests, is a large community immediately northwest of Downtown Dayton. The area is a mix of rural and suburban with the residential areas situated along the eastern sides of town. Peaceful neighborhoods make up most of the area, and renters have the choice of a variety of affordable low-rise apartments. Despite its rural feel , Northwest is equipped with all the necessities through the retail centers along Highways 49 and 48. More exciting attractions are located just south in the heart of Dayton, and outdoor recreation is abundant thanks to the Miami River and Mad River, both running through Dayton.

Management is amazing and maintenance is always fast! I lived here for 2 years and never had any issues. The complex is always quiet and relaxing.
Swimming pool falling apart and NOT as pictured. Apartments are old and run down. Poor management.
Please avoid these apartments! I was allowed to break my lease in order to get out but others may not! After waiting on this apartment to become available to me for several months, things were barely cleaned even though I was told everything was “move in ready.” Mice poop and candy wrappers in the cabinets, dust and dirt coming up when I vacuumed the “clean” carpet, mold underneath the dishwasher, and dead gnats in the freezer are just some of the things that I saw after getting the keys. Almost certain the previous tenant passed away in the unit itself after being told he more than likely passed at a hospital or somewhere outside of the unit. Tenants have a right to know if someone was left deceased in an apartment unit! I understand HIPAA concerns but I have a right to know if the unit I am moving into had a dead body inside of it. It was a nightmare. Management had the backs of the maintenance crew even though they didn’t do their job right or barely did the job at all. I wasted time and money (I didn’t get all my money back) on these apartments. The outside is beautiful but deceiving. Rent at your own risk! This is only just a small example of how much I had to go through with these apartments.

We appreciate all true and honest reviews. We hate that you left and broke your lease but all residents are held to the same rules. You did break your lease but it was because you were unwilling to follow the rules of the community. You rented the apartment for yourself but unfortunately, you had roommate(s)that you brought in; one of which said that she was your wife when she came to pay rent. Background checks are done on all residents 18 and older. As far as your claims of someone dying in the apartment, that along with some of the other statement you have made is not true, nor did you ever have a conversation with management regarding such.
My stay here was okay. The low application fee is definitely recouped when you move out. They exaggerate and make up clean up cost. When I moved in I could not use the ceiling fan due to the excessive dust build up. I never used the fan. But they wanted to charge me for cleaning it upon my move. If they are so thorough they would have had the fan clean when I moved into the apartment. Read all of the reviews, I’m not the only person who had a concern with outrageous clean-up fees. Shame on you!

Thank you for your comments. We give many deposits back to residents but when there are cleaning/damages, we do charge as we go over with you at move-in. We also give you an inspection sheet at move-in to complete and bring back to us should you find something that was missed in preparing the apartment for you. We are happy to do a work order so that whatever the issue was can be addressed immediately. At move out, we offer to do the move-out with you so that you see exactly what we see so that if there are any charges to be assessed, you understand why you are being charged. We also take pictures of all cleaning issues and damages during the move-out inspection. We would have been happy to go over these with you.

If you would like to contact us, we would be happy to share pictures of your move-out with you, showing why you were charged the charges you were. Stoneridge gives many deposits back to our residents who have taken the time to clean their apartment homes before they leave. We are very fair with our move-outs and take pictures of all issues. At move in, you are given an inspection sheet to let us know if anything in the apartment was missed or if there are any issues. We did not receive an inspection sheet back from you and this is the first concern we have heard of with the ceiling fan. If there was an issue at move-in, we would have been happy to address it.
Lived here for two years with my dog. Staff and maintenance were very responsive and neighbors were great.
I am a nature lover so having a home surrounded by birds and trees and flowers is a big hit with me. The grounds always look superb. The campus is small enough that everything is easy to get to. Residents are quiet and respectful. Hospital, restaurants and main highways are close by along with several parks and natural areas. Stoneridge is a great place for families, or people just looking for some peace.
Only 199 for a Security deposit I'm on board. Turns out when you move out of this crap hole of a community. They will charge you for every spec of dust left on the counter, moderately exaggerating. Anything they can charge you with they'll get you. So with the pathetic low security deposit we still ended up owing 1800. Yes we had some damages but those weren't even a significant part of it. Please just take my warning and don't move into stoneridge.

We would be happy to talk to you to discuss your balance should you like to contact us. We would have sent you detailed information of those items that made up your balance so please let us know what you are concerned with. We take pictures of all damages, cleaning issues, etc. so if there is something in question, we can go over these items as well as your balance left on your account. We give many security deposits back to residents but unfortunately if there is a lease break, money owed on the account, broken doors, damages or cleaning issues, that would be why you left owing money on your account. Again, we would be happy to go over your account detail with you.
Excellent location near airport and major highway, yet nestled in along and in wooded natural habitat. Not a new development but the townhouses are nicely laid out. Maintenance personnel always onsite and are very responsive.
Convenient Location next to interstate, grocery store, hospital, restaurants however apt interior décor needs severely updated with 80's era style cabinetry and apt mgt needs to be improved.
Clean, friendly place, safe, comfortable space with a secluded pool and free fitness gym close by with apartment lease
