Property Ratings at Stonington Court Apartments
I recently had a leak coming up from my floor boards. This sucks, but what had made this experience worse is I cannot get anyone to communicate with me unless I go into the office and their office is not open the normal hrs it is supposed to be. In addition, I now have a lot more things that need fixed because their contractors/maintenance cannot fix this leak.
They will try any way possible to get a couple extra dollars from their residents, even the ones who have paid on time every month. Have had nothing but problems since we’ve been here. They have lost money orders and tried to charge late fees for “missed rent”. The laundry rooms are DISGUSTING and these apartments are so run down and poorly put together it’s honestly disgusting. Even in 100 degree weather they push off fixing air conditioning leaving people in 87 degree apartments…Not worth the cheap rent at ALL I can not wait to leave.
I've been living in this property for over 3 years and been looking to move since the first year but with the pandemic and me being from another state either there was no vacancies anywhere or I simply didn't know where to look. The AC system is horrible been having leaks since I moved in Maintenance comes and don't fix a thing. Management tries to fine you for everything, My windows is old, the sliding door is old during the pandemic when many people loss their jobs they started reporting late payments to your credit, but not the on time payments. Now they went up on rent over 300 dollars. Its horrible place to live I wouldn't recommend and if I could find somewhere else to live I would and currently still looking
You will be threatened to be fined for everything if you are not available when they think you should be for them. Maintenence is inexperienced and it takes months and years to have a Maintenence order completed. The grounds are dangerous just to walk around because of holes etc.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It has been nothing but a hassle to live here. As a first time renter I was excited because the leasing agent (who no longer works there) was very friendly and made it seem livable. On day ONE when I moved in, my problems started. My sliding glass door wouldn’t open (needed to be replaced that day of move in) and the glass was foggy and needed to be replaced (which it finally was at least 2 months later). My appliances were the wrong color even though I paid extra for the stainless steel (this also took a month to get new appliances.) My sink has clogged and overflowed onto my kitchen floor 4 times in the short 7 months I have lived here. I can’t even use the storage space under my kitchen sink because of the filth it left behind. My ceiling started to leak 2 months after moving in and it took until 4 months later for my ceiling to be fully fixed. I had 3 different maintenance men come to spackle and finally the third person speckled it again, sanded and painted it. Now, I am being discriminated for having an emotional support animal and they told me I will be hearing from their attorney. I have tried to get in contact with the regional manager and have even called the corporate number to leave messages and emails but I never get responses.
i called to get help with my ac that stays on 80 degrees. my room is even hotter, no Ac blows in here at all. i have numerous fans just blowing hot air around. my one "cooling" fan broke trying to cool my room down. when i called for help i was told "air conditioning is not a luxury" i never wrote a bad review on an apt because im always greatful to have a home. but right now its 230 am. and my husband is laying on the floor next to a fan and iam laying in front a separate fan. im not saying dont rent here. its decent. has lots of space but i wish my lease was shorter. its only june and its about to be a hot hot summer. i need a proper AC. smh
I use to live here as a kid (for a couple years) back in the '70s. As a kid I remembered the pool was not in the best shape and some of the apartment near the pool were flooded. The buildings closest to Blackwood Rd. appeared to be the better buildings. But that all was back in the '70s. From what I see now, the management and staff really got it back into shape. The fireplaces are a new feature that wasn't there back in the '70s. I wouldn't mind checking this place out after coming back to NJ.

Thank you for the great review! We have made changes to improve and beautify the property. We hope you are a resident for a long time! Regards, Management Team!
This apartment complex is very nice. It's pretty quiet depending on whether you live in the front or back. The front is more quiet and safer. Apartment are big for apartments. There are 8 apartments to each building. The neighborhood is not the best, but it's not terrible. I really like living here. There's a pool too.
Very inexpensive and low maintenance. It is close to major road arteries. A lot of convenient stores and about a mile or two away from the nearest mall
