Property Ratings at Strada
Help yourself and save your time and money because there is nothing luxury about an apartment that has mold, roaches, a/c leaks, flooding anytime it rains etc. lived here for only 5 months and getting ahold of any office staff is a hassle. Maintenance comes by to “repair” only for it to last a week until it breaks again or something else needs to be fixed. Walls are paper thin you hear absolutely everything! Just use caution..
The front office staff are extremely unprofessional and rude. They do not care about you. DO NOT LIVE HERE. This is the worst place to live. Stray cats at every corner. Apartment complex is outrageously dirty and they do not care to upkeep it. When you're able to miraculously reach the front office, you're greeted with attitude.
Where do I even begin? Living at Strada has been a horrible experience. I honestly have nothing nice to say besides it being somewhat a convenient location. 1st kitchen cabinets and drawers are so old, it’s obvious they tried masking it with new paint. 2nd the blinds were broken, I can’t even open my door without them falling down like dominos. I didn’t notice at the time of my move inspection that all they did was flip the broken blinds upside down so they hang on a LITTLE bit but the moment you touch them, they slip right off. Third they tried adding a little touch of modern to the unit by adding this switch where you have to push and hold down buttons to operate the ceiling fan and light in both the living room and master bedroom. The living room switch stopped working first, maintenance came out and couldn’t fix the issue and gave me a remote to use, that seemed to work but button was never looked at again. Months later the switch in the bedroom stopped working, maintenance came out and did NOTHING! Said he would give me a temporary fix of replacing the modern switch to a tradition on and off switch, so now the only option I have is light on with ceiling fan on full blast or light off and no ceiling fan at all! So inconvenient, especially since it’s winter, who wants their ceiling fan blowing hard whenever you need the light on? Reported this to the front office and they said they would contact the maintenance supervisor, well it’s been about 60 days and haven’t heard a thing! Fourth major roach problem! I was given a 2-3 notice that I had to pretty much empty EVERY drawer, cabinet and closet so they can spray. Although I knew it had to be done, it’s disgusting and totally inconvenient. I asked the lady walking around giving us the notice and she said the tenants about me were infested. Gross! Lastly, the parking lot can be sketchy!! I came home one night to about 10 police cars and helicopter over the complex, hesitant to get down I asked the officers if everything was ok, they mentioned to me that my neighbors had been robbed at gunpoint about 15 minutes prior to me getting there! Extremely scary, community isn’t gated so bunch of randoms walking around. I even seen a guy on a bike digging through the dumpsters. Please take my advice and do not consider this place! It’s a dump and not luxurious like they claim to be!!!
Renting with Strada has been difficult since they're take over in September. Residents have complained about leaks, water damage, mold, mold spread, cockroach infestations, and much more. It is difficult to get a hold of the correct people in a timely manner before issues become worse. While the property on the outside is well maintained, the inside of the apartments can be a hidden nightmare.
They literally did not even clean the apartment since the last tenant. Over a week later and more than a dozen repairs needed and the entire apartment still needs to be cleaned. Absolute nightmare from the get go with Strada. Save yourself the stress and rent elsewhere.
Elios crossing has a great office and maintenance staff I've been here since 2011 I love it here. I feel safe it's a very clean community the maiden a staff was awesome as well as office staff. And I wanna give 2 thumbs up to Roseanne and Sabrina. Marino
This is the first time I'll be writing a review for an apartment complex. My experience with Elliots Crossing has been a true roller-coaster, and I feel as though other people deserve a some fair warning. First, the good. The public areas (when they were open) are nice and kept up. The scenery through the apartments is pleasant on the eyes and it's easy to weave in and out of the areas. The pool areas are properly maintained and look very nice. The location itself is also convenient. It's right next to a freeway and is surrounded by plenty of great eateries. As for the apartments themselves, we had a good experience. Me and a few others all lived in a two bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment. The living room is expansive, the semi-vaulted ceiling was cool, the kitchen was big enough and the appliances worked well. The maintenance team was pretty great too, though some requests got dropped when the pandemic hit (probably got too busy and missed them by accident). And for the most part, they came quickly (within 1-2 days), fixed the issue, and then went on their merry way within a few hours. Now, for the bad... The front office is laughably incompetent. Anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong. When we first got there and handed them our cashier's check, the leasing agent who was working with us ended up losing our check. They ended up finding it in a stack of documents a few days later and never bothered to let us know. We had to find out by repeatedly asking. By the way, we were charged late fees on our account since we "hadn't paid" yet. Our leasing agent also gave us the wrong administrative fee numbers on move-in. We were given the fee for a 1 bedroom instead of a 2 bedroom. Not a big deal, but they refused to hold any accountability over this mistake. Instead, their response phrased it as if it was OUR fault that we initially paid less than what was charged. We ended up paying this difference because we were quickly learning that arguing wasn't going to solve the issue. The front office did not improve over the course of our year-long lease. They continued to be hard to get in touch with, communicate with, and interact with in any capacity. But we couldn't avoid them during move-out time. They tacked on move-out fees that aren't disclosed in the lease agreement. Just know what you are getting yourself into. And if you want to live here, be prepared to deal with the front office. They are, by far, the worst part of Elliots Crossing.
Have been living here for about a year now and my Fiancé and I really enjoy It. They really keep the maintenance up to date around here and can’t wait to raise my kid here in his first months as a baby. Thank you guys!
The process of moving in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. Just when I began to love my new home I saw a roach, a very big one might I add. I got the apartment sprayed every week on Thursday & STILL SAW ROACHES INSIDE my apartment. Some days or weeks would go by where I didn’t see anything but it never failed as each month passed. I can count the amount of times I had company on one hand! Now the outside of the apartment, people let dogs poop everywhere. Legit smells like dog urine and poop as you walk to the parking lot. To break my lovely lease it would be 2 months rent ALONG with staying AND PAYING or just paying the required “60 days” when giving a notice. Who just has that amount of money laying around? If I could give no stars, trust me I would! Save yourself & go somewhere else. Biggest mistake I’ve made since moving to AZ.
I've lived here now for about 4.5 years. The front office staff is very friendly. There was one issue where a maintenance issue was quickly closed, but once I brought it up to the staff, it was taken very seriously and made to be fixed that same day. I had some concerns in renewing my lease, and the office staff was patient and communicative about that as well. Also, the staff puts on awesome events almost every month, that come with free food, contests (guess how many jelly beans in a jar, get a gift card, that kind of thing), and they being there as well to meet their clients personally. There's a well kept soccer field on the property (indoor size/style), and as of around mid-year 2019, they replaced all of the grills around the pools to be state-of-the-art high quality. Great place to live.
Despite numerous issues with the application process through their website I was able to apply. My gf however, had to go in office a couple days later because the website was not working properly. After advising one of their office staff repeatedly to process the application she insisted that we must wait for both applicants. Being unsure of what was happening and wanting to secure an apartment, we looked elsewhere. We contacted Elliot's Crossing to have a portion of our money returned and they refused to return any portion of the over $200 that we paid. They cited their 72 hour return window as a "valid" reason however, their staff refused to process the application without both applicants. Basically, don't waste your time or money here.
I had taken a tour of an apartment and was approved for a room with the same size/setup. I arrived the day before I was to sign my lease to see the specific apartment I would be moving into, and was told the apartment I had been approved for was no longer available, and there was no other apartment available at that price point. After being told this I went to the apartment I had thought I would be living in to tell the tenants that they may be receiving some mail for me, and to give them my number. I found that they were currently renovating the apartments, and the previous tenants had moved out as planned, contrary to what I was told by the office. As I had already been staying on my friend's couch for two weeks between places, I had no option but to accept their next best offer which was an apartment 200 square feet smaller for the same price/month. I will not be staying here.
Great place to just relax, friendly neighbors, and staff. Pool area is too fresh for a summer day. I’m about to renew for a 3rd year since I came to Arizona.
I had visited several apartments, and done a lot of search before I found Elliot's Crossing. This apartment ticked all my boxes. It was an easy decision for me, and I took their "look & lease" offer. I'm also going to refer this apartment to few others from my circle.

So my girlfriend and I just moved into Elliot’s Crossing and it has been the best move in experience ever. The apartment is amazing; the square footage, the new appliances, the dog park nearby, the soccer field, THE VAULTED CEILING. It’s all so amazing! But what really stole my admiration was the service I received throughout the whole process. Management has been very quick to respond to my questions and has also just been so nice. Rachel was the young woman who helped us find the best place, answer our questions, and sign a lease. You guys better give her a bonus because she’s the best. Thank you Elliot’s Crossing for being so kind and helpful! P.s. - The triple filtered water is to die for!
Maintainace is frustratingly slow. It takes months for a work order to be addressed. The upgraded are overpriced for how poorly done they are. Who paints an old bathtub... PAINTS. The paint didn’t take a few weeks to start bubbling, now there is a huge spot in the bathtub that has peeled away and clogging the tub. We have called in 3-4 times in the past 6 months and being patient with the staff only to have someone on the end rude to us. Poor installation of windows, all the heat was sipping in in the middle of summer and it took 3 office visits and a high electric bill complaint to have it fixed. One of the staff members said she’s not a contractor so she wouldn’t know if it’s installed propally or not.. to our faces.. as she sat in the leasing office ac during our 2nd visit. Our schedule has us travelling or at the gym most of the time so our use of water is low, but for some reason our water bill DOUBLED the past 2 months.. we called in and finally someone in the office picked up just to argue with us over the phone instead of listening. They are super friendly when we signed the lease, but it went south after the apartment started breaking down. The reviews on here may or may not be accurate, but we gave this apartment half a year to get it right and we are dissapointed. Would not recommend living here.
Day 1 we found the closet light was detached and missing, carpet was pulled up in spots, the tub was cracked, 6 outlets needed to be replaced. Took 2 months and multiple trips to the office to get our tub relined. The AC dripped for 2 months with multiple attempts to clear the lines. The air filter looked as if it was painted over as well. The bottom of garbage diposal blew out within the first couple weeks of move in. Was told that roaches were not a problem and have found a handful in the apartment. Also shitty placement of trees in the parking spots. Had a 12 ft branch hit my car and my girlfriend's car and management has yet to do anything about it after contacting insurance which told us to go to the property management. This is not everything and I'm very sure that more is yet to come.
Just signed lease on 4/21. Was told unit had no issues prior to signing. The people at Elliot's Crossing and Bridge Property Management knowingly signed a lease for a unit within a building that had ongoing cockroach issues. They then lock you in to your lease and try to get you to move a second time into a different unit which is either more expensive or not currently available. They expect you to pay a fortune for a lease buyout. Terrible, a complete nightmare. 20 plus cockroaches in a week. Lady downstairs has had them since she moved in at the beginning of the year. They tell you, once your locked in, they are working on it (on Thursdays when the exterminator comes) but they aren't going away. Not a good place, not even close.
I moved in sometime ago and still enjoy living here. Ryan and the staff are very friendly and care about my concerns. Jerry and the staff take care of my maintenance issues and makes me feel important. Great job!
nice place rosanne amasing manager amazing staff close to every thing especially the airport to much stuff to do around here 10 year resident nice place
We moved here in August of 2017 we have encountered some issues, but the manager always addresses them in a timely manner. We love our office staff they are amazing. Only suggestion I have is to update the dog parks .
I've lived here since 2007 so I've seen a lot of change over the years! First let me hit a few of the good things: 1. Convenient - nearby are Walmart, Safeway, CVS, QT, Circle K, Arby's, BK, McDonald's, Wendy's, Panda Exp, Subway, Starbucks, Fuddruckers, Taco Bell, Red Robin, Sonic, Popeye's, Oregano's and even more food joints. There's also a Costco and one of those car wash/oil change megaplex things. AND access to the I-10 AND the 60 less than 3 miles away. 2. Nice grills, gym, decent pool (not Olympic but clean & usable), onsite laundry and 'business office' with computers, a clubhouse which has a pool table -honestly the clubhouse is not really the kind you'd rent out for a party or anything but I'm not sure how important that is for most people... 3. Enough parking so you don't have to park on the street, ever. 4. In 11 years I've seen a handful of police related calls. Put 100's of people from everywhere together and incidents will happen; I've seen less of it here than anywhere. My car has never been broken in to, and the grounds are well lit. Now, let me give you the low down that might speak to a few of the issues I've seen other reviewers mention: Friendliness of office staff - seriously I have never had them be rude to me. That's probably because I've worked customer service and I realize that every apt staff has more to do than they can handle so I'm patient and nice. That's my big secret. I stand in line a little longer or sometimes even have to come back the next day..but when I have a really big issue and raise my voice a bit they know it's out of character and they help me out...(and in the course of 11 years everyone will have something happen!) Stuff breaking down - well yeah...talk to a home owner, stuff breaks. Take care of your apt as much as you can; don't treat it like a rental car (in fact don't treat your rental cars like a rental either will ya?!? It's wasteful.) Want it fixed? Go to the office and be nice; being a tenant doesn't give you the right to treat the employees like minions. Bugs - I've lived in New Orleans, the roach capital of the US, so I feel qualified 1st I live on the top floor, honestly that helps a lot. But I've seen two cockroaches and one silverfish since 2007 (that's 11 years!) Here's the deal; don't leave dirty dishes or half full beverages around, and if you have a pet clean it's litter box or pick up it's poo and take it to the dumpster. It's really that simple.
A very dirty community. No grass in many areas/just dirt. Workers are very disrespectful to residents. Workers take up 6-8 parking spots; blow dirt and debris in houses, on porches, at cars; parking lot is always a mess; downed branches for months in parking areas; landscapers blow dust and dirt several days per week; maintenance takes weeks, sometimes months, to respond; complaints go unnoticed, which is why I resorted to this. Office staff is friendly, but otherwise, residents are treated disrespectfully and quite rudely by workers, maintenance staff, and landscapers. I hope to move soon, where residents are treated properly and the community is not so dirty.
Every apartment complex you look for in the area doesn't quite compare in value to this place. You're getting a great price for an awesome amount of sq footage, and the grounds of the complex are nice as well! Parking is plenty, and the staff are really helpful as well.
This place used to be pretty inexpensive for the area, so it was easier to overlook the intensely awful maintenance situation. Since my rent went up 12% after my AC broke 5 times and my Fridge 3 times in the space of 6 months (over the summer, with a dog) and it takes days to get someone out for even the smallest let alone big problems, and typically only after I've followed up several times, it's just not worth the money. I love everything about this place, except that when things go wrong. and they will, management and maintenance will not get things done. This was true of previous management, and new management (as of 7 months ago) has not improved matters. Also, I had stuff stolen out of my car last year.
I’m simply sharing my feedback so new potential renters don’t make the same mistake. Before moving into Elliot's Crossing After being a resident at this apartment for over 7 months, and the 5 review could be more fabricated. I invite to you to take a walk on premise and see for yourself The only positive thing I can think of is maintenance has always been responsive. Saftey is concern. Check the Tempe Police website. Garden Grove Apartments ,which is just across the street , is the number 1 police callout in Tempe some of the toxicity has spilled over into Elliot crossing ungated community. I've had other residents mentioned their cars have been broken into and police visit the premises a lot. The pictures online are deceiving. I'm afraid to invite guest over. The grounds are dirty. Dog mess is everywhere. When summer ends and the jet engine a/c units stop blasting, every conversation from the neighboring apartments can be heard. Drama and arguments have played out in my bed room at night. Outside noise goes on from outside at all hours of the day and night as well. Ear plugs have not helped. There have been various reviews of cockroaches (which they call waterbugs) and termites infesting the dwellings. I'm sad to confirm those reports are true. I have taken several pictures I can show. Management is delusional if they think this apartment complex is great. Ownership has changed several hands and rent has perpetually increased without improving the quality of living for the residents. Management is also very lenient of the noise and does not enforce policies for the number of roommates living in one apartment unit. The management has done a very poor job displaying speed limits in the parking lot; a catastrophe waiting to happen.. As working residents we don't ask for me much; just a quiet, safe, and clean apartment dwelling. I've spoken up the chain in several cases and no action has been done. If you're a member of Elliot Crossing Apartment management and reading this, I do have some advice . Instead replying with more broken promises, please actually do something tangible. Start by sending a letter out to all your residents with a plan to improve the quality of living and remind all residents of the rules they signed in their lease. Loud noise, parties, and dog mess are unacceptable. Invest in a noise reducing barriers and a security gate; I’m sure an apartment community with 2 pools and over hedged apartment rent can afford it.
Nice sized apartments for the price; cheapest in the area we were able to find for a one bedroom. Great deal for the price. Maintenance is decently fast (from what we have experienced), front desk representatives are very nice people, and pretty close to some major stores like Walmart, Ross, PETsMART, and a Staples. Also near an Olive Garden, Oreganos, and fast food; McDonalds, Burger King, Popeye's, Arby's, Subway, and others. Overall great place to live in a great location.
My 2 bedroom 1 bath Apartment has a nice size living room with a huge patio. The kitchen is set with all white appliances. A little hallway to the master bedroom and has a walk in closet. The second room is a perfect size for guest. The bathroom has 2 showers, one stand up and the other bath tub. I would rate it a perfect 10. I had none of this growing up, so I am glad and proud to be in this apartment and would recommend these apartments to anyone
Elliot's crossing has all the amenities we need from friendly staff to a dog park. It's beautiful green appearance and colorful surrounding make it welcoming to us when we come home.
The apartment complex is nice . The apartments are decent nothing special nothing bad. Front office staff is really nice
