Stratford House Apartments

If you are a great resident who always pays rent on time and wants a terrible place to live, this is the place for you. The staff is always rude and the units are roach infested. You can request pest control and submit work orders but they will all be marked "done" and then ignored. My tub has been leaking since July and I've placed work orders about this 5 times. I even took time off work to speak to the manager and they assured me it would be fixed... It has been two months and nothing has been fixed. Please don't waste your money here.

The management is dishonest. The property is dirty. Trash is left all over the property. The team is understaffed. There are pests in every unit. Lots of crime - tires stolen, catalytic converts stolen, and units broken into.

The walls are extremely thin. I can hear my neighbor washing their dishes. People let their dogs poop everywhere. It’s disgusting. The complex is not as quiet as other people claim it to be. People are always screaming, banging things, or talking loudly as they walk down the sidewalks. It’s annoying!! However, the price of rent is fantastic. You’re close to a lot of stores and restaurants. If you’re thinking of moving here, buy ear plugs! You’re going to need them.

4. Stratford House is a great place to live. Fantastic manager, Shanna, and her team. Very nice people and hard workers in the office - always easy to contact. Maintenance is top notch and available 24/7! Trash pickup outside our door 5 days a week. 4 swimming pools with chairs and umbrellas. Beautiful grounds. They even have a business center and work out room. Quiet and peaceful complex. Roof repairs done frequently. Upkeep is great. Proud to call Stratford House my home for 46 years. I wouldnt live anywhere else!

We're in the third year of living here at the Stratford House Apartments. All facilities are very close and we do not have any more issues. The only thing that should be improved is the frequency and the proactiveness of maintenance services.

My experience has been fantastic so far, a little roaches here and there but so far so fantastic!! Definitely would recommend to friends.

Looks good from the outside but once you get in and live inside you’ll want to regret it big time !!! Leasing staff will try to make it seem its a nice quite place but no it’s not. Closets don’t have lights , no electrical outlets in the apartments at all , no ceiling fans whatsoever. Kitchen is filled with roaches !!!!!!! Low budget extermination paid by the apartments does not do the job even if your the cleanest person in the building. Have nice rims better have a rim wheel lock , if not yours will end up in bricks! Everyone smokes marijuana in and out of the complex , trash scattered everywhere , trash dumpsters are not opened by the management everyday so people just throw their trash outside. Thin walls and floors so no privacy at all you can practically hear neighbors music or arguments everyday. Dog poop everywhere. Carpet is not changed when new residents acquire a apartment at Stratford , refrigerators are not even cleaned you’ll have to do it before moving in. Overall roaches and car jackings it’s what you’ll expect when you decide to move in here , you are warned !!!!!

I moved here over 20 years ago and am still satisfied with living here and in the surrounding community. Everything I just about need is close by. The multiple pools is added bonus.

I overall love my new place. Plenty of perks and perfect location. My only concern is parking bc I never can park in my assigned spot bc someone is always there.

All I can say is "Stratford House is a good place to live", and that's hard to find in today's world.

you will never ever ever live a day in this apartment without a roach crossing your path. from day one before any of my belongings were here there have been bugs. the management does little to address this and opts for the cheapest possible “extermination” which results in maybe 2 days of less—not even zero bugs. noisy neighbors. stupid combined utilities and mandatory trash valet service. too many units for a real community feel. pools are never clean and usually have a greenish algae tint. also there was some car jackings on the street. very fun. i had less bug issues in a 100+ year old apartment. cannot emphasis enough how bad this place is. but hey it has great closet space , 3 closets in a 1/1 is pretty awesome. literally the only positive.

Stratford is a great community for students. Public transportation connectivity is good. Very few groceries are there within walking distance, though the shops are in the bus route. Highly recommended for students.

Stratford House is a rare gem in Houston. It has the charm of large walk in closets, unique house-like floor plans, and a friendly staff. Located inside the loop and close to everything! Stratford House is worth checking out for your new home.

Stratford House is an excellent place to live. One of the best features is trash pickup outside your door Sun-Thurs. Excellent management staff, excellent maintenance, and great to have 24 hour assistance, 24/7 if needed.

I like that it's by a bayou if you wanna walk or run or ride a bike you can. I like how there is a lot of pools, but the maintenance is bad I lived here for 3 years and I've had a leak in my roof and we reported it to the office but no one has come and the roof has been leaking for over 4 months

I really like living here, there are some areas that could improve. I would like to stay here for many more years! The other thing that really bothers me is to see trash in several areas, it's a shame that some people don't really care about the place where we all live.

Been living at Stratford house for almost two years now. It is an affordable place to live at. We do not have any major issues here. I would recommend living at this place to friends and family.

I lived here for 4 months in a classic apartment. The devices are too old, faced a lot of issues due to that. The stove and the refrigerator do not work properly. Also, you will find cockroaches all over the apartment which require pest control at least once per month.

Overall living has been great. The staff is very informative and nice. I'm proud to call Stratford House Home

Stratford House is a great place to live. We have the best maintenance team and the greatest office staff.

I've lived here since 1991, although not in the same apartment. I am very satisfied with the location and upkeep of the place. Management really does need to pay more attention to the lawncare though, and also the amount of dust from the graveled road in the back. It's difficult to keep anything outside clean. Otherwise, things are kept up well.

Nice apartments with a good community and responsive administration. The district may look not that fancy, but it is safe and quiet

Stratford House is a WONDERFUL place to live. Nicest office staff with the best maintenance team that fixes every issue the same day. During the pandemic, they also take special care to have everyone wear masks, practice social distancing, and have extra help to clean even the washing machine areas. Just a great place to live! Beautiful grounds too.

It's a quiet and affordable community. Although I hardly talk to the staff, they're helpful and friendly.

Stratford House is a very quiet community, and I love the fact that it is centrally located and very close to the bayou hiking trails.

Ideal location for commuting within downtown Houston, TMC and Galleria. Prices are affordable and best in the area. Overall a safe open gated community with very less crime incidents. Would be better if this can be improved

I would like to tell the people that when you look at an apartment ask them not to show you the show room apartment but you would like to see the apartment you will be living in to see if roaches is infested is bugs coming from the sockets

There really seems to be a sense of community here. People are friendly and they are not intrusive with loud music or parties. It's really nice to have found a place like this!

When seeking an apartment, I looked only at Stratford House. There I looked only at one apartment. It met all my important criteria. That was nearly 20 years ago.

Moving at all is difficult especially during such a stressful and unpredictable time like now. However, Straford house was easy to communicate upfront about their fees and rules and made me feel safe and like I was coming home. It is a large beatiful property that is well kept and the people in the community have been nothing but kind.

I've lived at this complex since 1991, so that should be enough said. It's home to me.

Stratford house is very cool apartment complex, very close to Brays Bayou Greenway Trail. Maintenance is good and work orders can be submitted online. The unit i live in has updated appliances and hardwood floors in the living room and kitchen and both spaces are roomy. Only problem you would see here is cockroaches everywhere indoor and outdoor no matter how clean your unit is.

I've been a resident here for a little over 3 months. The office staff is very nice, professional, and very efficient. The maintenance staff responds to requests within 24 hours. However, when repairing an A/C leak in my bathroom, there were stains left on my wall as well as my door that I had to clean. Perhaps, they need to have small cleaning/disinfectant wipes with them. Other than that, the property is well maintained with regard to landscaping, trash removal, and cleanliness of the laundry room.

We've been living here for almost a year now. We renewed our lease and overall we are satisfied. A few things can be improved but the apartment is affordable and very close to work and everything.
