Claiming the title of America’s oldest permanent settlement, Saint Augustine is a city with over 400 years of history on display everywhere you look. As a popular destination for visitors from around the world, there is no shortage of options for dining, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment in Saint Augustine (and yes, there’s a lot more than just tourist attractions).
The beach is equally popular among locals and tourists alike, with Anastasia Island and Vilano Beach conveniently accessible from anywhere in the city. The Florida National Guard has its headquarters here, so there is a strong military presence as well.

Property Ratings at Stratford Mill
Nice place. Regardless of your effort, you will be charged a cleaning fee for the apartment and carpet when you leave. ??
I've been living at Stratford Mill for 2+ years. In that time the complex has remained safe, clean, and overall harmonious. There are a lot of pros to living here and very few cons, if they can really be called that. I do not regret choosing to live here for one second and I hope you wouldn't either! List of Many Pros: Maintenance is quick to respond and thorough, lawns and outdoor areas are maintained and kept clean, apartments are a good size with high ceilings, very little noise from neighbors (I never hear someone's tv or music, just possibly some footsteps upstairs or the faint hint of noise from their washing machine or dishwasher, very easy to ignore and not at all constant), rent does not increase astronomically (and a free carpet cleaning with each new lease), garbage is centralized by the front gate to reduce garbage piles and smell, appliances are older but work very well, good amount of storage area in apartment, pets allowed, regular pest maintenance (outdoor and indoor), friendly neighbors, fun events (like food truck visits and holiday events), plenty of parking, deliveries are waiting at my door (or can be accepted and held by the front desk), W/D IN UNIT!! Couple Cons: There is a 24 hour shooting range that is not far from the complex and if you have your windows open you will likely hear a semi-faint "rap rap rap" of guns. If your windows are closed and nothing is making noise you can also slightly hear it. It no longer bothers me at all, but it was something I had to adjust to. It is not a constant stream of gun noises; depending on the day and time it's either a small nuisance or not even happening at all. I have to put it under cons because of course I wish I didn't hear it at all! Other than that, sometimes the garbage area gets really messy or there's too much at once, but they work to get it back into shape within a few days at the most. Overall, this is just a really great place to live and I look very forward to coming home every day. I love my apartment and I love St. Augustine!

Thank you so very much for the kind review! We, here at Stratford Mill, work hard to ensure all residents are happy. This is HOME and we strive for excellence. We are beyond thrilled that you chose us to call HOME...
I have lived in various apartments for the last few years, this is the first place that feels like home, even after only a few months. I love living here. The Management is wonderful, and if I ever have an issue, which is rare, it is resolved immediately. You can't beat the convenience and location, either.

I am very surprised to read the negative comments on here. I visited here in July 2014 because i am relocating from NY to St Augustine in July I met with Marty and she was extremely nice to us made the kids feel very comfortable and was very informative about Stratford Mills. I am now hesitant after reading these comments

Dear Eddie01, I thank you for taking the time to write a comment. I can only say that we do try to work with all of our residents in a professional, courteous manner. There are always at least two sides to every story. Please give us a call and try us out. We would love to help you however we can with your housing needs.
This place will let you park your boat taking up 3 to 4 parking spaces. This is taking up parking that I would and others would like to park. Parking is a problem at times and not regulated, Other issues as well...

This is Michelle the new property manager for Stratford Mill. I am so glad that you had a wonderful experience. That certainly is our goal! Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review!
Staff is very rude and very judgemental not a friendly place to live at all. Between the staff and the neighbors stay away from this place. Plus dont even think you will get your deposit back even if you clean the apartment they will find something to charge you for and will charge the most expensive prices.
