Property Ratings at Streets of Greenbrier
I’ve been here for almost 3 years and it has been a joy to live here. The staff are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and willing to help. Maintenance has been wonderful. I would recommend this property to anyone, especially if you have a pet.
I lived here for a year and decided not to renew lease. When I first moved in I thought I’d be there for a few years, but their flaws soon started. We had issues with the leasing office charging us extra fees every month. We have to go down tot eh office to get these things off are bill and they’d inform us the issue was resolved just for the fees to pop back up the following month. They had got new management which they informed us a week in advance and we had to figure out how to rearrange are way of payment because the new management wasn’t taking online payments. The new management is never in office so it’s difficult to get in contact with them about concerns. There’s trash and stains up and down the hallways. I’m the breeze way it smells like pee. There’s dog poop everywhere you turn. They don’t have assigned parking so there’s few opportunities where you’ll get to park close to your home.
Been living here since the community was built and now there has been so much crime in this community ever since the new mgt took over! Just last week there’s been a DOUBLE HOMICIDE and mgt has yet to address the incident and or check on residents! No arrests have been made. Security has been nonexistent even after what’s happened. Not 1 measure has been taken. Ppl have been spotted (Ring cameras) going through trash and breaking in storage rooms. And given the market now it’s beyond expensive to relocate :(
Mold in washer, apartment was dirty, even after having it “cleaned twice” by their cleaning crew. MOLD IN WASHER! Dried urine on toilet, tac strips with nails protruding from carpet, definitely not smoke free as advertised. The tenant above is a smoker and has a dog that constantly barks both of which they’ve done nothing about. Ventilation must be improperly installed if so much smoke is coming into the apartment thats it’s making everyone sick. If it is just the cigarette smoke. Not a luxury apartment. Don’t be fooled by the high ceilings. Parking is awful, and no places are assigned, people hog the spots near the entrances. Its a hassle when you’re handicapped, or pregnant. The managing office claimed former management is to blame, these should all be things any good managers can handle considering their price. They also blame a grandfathered lease for the aforementioned smoker tenant with dog that doesn’t stop barking at literally all hours of the night, but hadn’t heard anyone up stairs up until 3-4 nights ago and hadn’t smelled smoke until 3 nights ago. It’s one excuse after another with no resolutions.
The streets has the potential to be one of the best neighborhoods, but it is plagued with poor management. The buildings arent really kept well maintained, and I have literally walked pas the same trash in the building for weeks at a time. It is obvious that management doesnt walk the property and ensure its cleanliness.
When we first toured this place we absolutely loved it! Then we met the faces behind this complex who handle the everyday needs for residents and they were so kind and welcoming, we knew we found the right place! They are an awesome team! I love living here and my puppy does too!
Please, if you are considering moving here, do your research and ask the right questions if you decide to tour the apartments prior to renting. I have lived in three other luxury apartments in the area, and this is by far the worst one I lived in, in terms of overall experience. The finishes and space itself may seem nice, but there are flaws in the workmanship that were not noticeable during the tour, such as the exhaust fans not working in the master bath, broken kitchen drawers, and the AC unit not properly working. There’s also a very bad bug problem, specifically bugs crawling on the ceilings. When we requested to have pest control come to the apartment, we were given two bug traps (one in each bathroom) to “take care of the problem”; yet they continue to appear at the same frequency despite us having to pay for that service every month. Speaking of paying for lackluster services, the valet trash is definitely not consistent as well. Some nights when we and our neighbors leave trash out to be picked up on a scheduled trash night, our trash would still be in the bins the next morning. Lastly, the office staff is not attentive when it comes to issues regarding noise disturbances. Noise travels TERRIBLY here. Constantly told to call the security officer for complaints, and 1 out of at least 8 times the officer ever showed up or responded to my voicemails to do anything. Spoke to the assistant manager and tried to contact the property manager several times, and nothing has yet to be done. Willing to break my lease once I get the chance. I wholeheartedly regret moving here.
I have never lived in a place that didn’t care about their residents. My family is military and we move around all the time. I’ve never came across people like this. My husband is in Bahrain and before he left we decided on this place but god were we wrong. Betty has a heck of an attitude that is very disturbing and uncalled for. I was hospitalized for 7 days and was unable to pay my rent, once i got out I called them to provide paperwork and pay my rent and was told they didn’t care i should have had someone pay it for me and that they would not be taking any late fees off so oh well. There was no sympathy for me at all, i could have died. Disgusting! I paid my rent and then received a court order on my door so they could get possession of my apartment, are you kidding me? Ultimately they ended up not renewing my lease so now I have to move whole my husband isn’t here and while still sick. They have been bullying me and won’t pick up the trash i have outside my door. I’m at apartment 415. Save your money people and move to Fenwyck Manor! Way better people and company! I’m talking to my attorney now about what can be done about the treatment I’ve received here.

I became a resident of SOG in 2013 following orders to the area. Since the beginning, the staff has been warm, inviting, and responsive to all of my work orders. In my opinion, they work hard as a team to ensure that your home feels like home. Monthly gatherings are scheduled, which are nice. My neighbors, are also courteous. I have never had any issues with any of the other residents throughout the 4 years that I've lived here. The apartments are nice and spacious. If I had to provide criticism, it would be that living underneath another resident was difficult at times, especially if they had pets and/or children. There were times when my neighbors seemed to host a marathon of some sort. Aside from this, there are no others. If I had to make the decision to sign a lease in the area, I would return to SOG. As I suggested in the title section, if you're planning to move to the area, definitely consider visiting SOG. **If I was able to, I would give SOG 4 1/2 stars.
After touring the complex and loving the layout and amenities that are offered we decided to apply and pay the fees to hold a unit. I never once got a call after that. I called periodically to check on the status and the staff seemed unorganized and not very interested in having us as renters, even though it's commission based and solely on that reason they should have put in more effort to get someone to rent from them... after almost two weeks I had to go to the rental office just to get an answer on the status of the application, just to find out that they needed more information on my income(but never once called me to tell me they needed more info!!!!). I emailed the documents they requested and waited to hear back... and waited... and waited.... no call! I called a week later and spoke to the manager, that seemed just as uninterested and made my situation seem trivial. She said my documents weren't sufficient(yet no one called me to tell me that after I had emailed them). She did not make me feel as if she cared at all and clearly didn't pass the information on to my rental officer because she never called me either to talk about the situation. We finally gave up and found another place to rent from. Within 22 hours we had a unit held, credit check completed, background check completed, and every other document they needed turned in and signed! I know not every situation will be like ours, but had I continued to jump through their hoops, I could only imagine how the customer service would have been once we were locked into a lease and they wouldn't have to worry about how their renters feel...
Streets of Greenbrier has beautiful apartments and amenities. After moving to the area by myself for the first time, the staff made me welcome and helped make the move so much easier. The area is so nice with the mall and grocery stores near by; everything is very convenient. Even though I've since moved again, my favourite thing about living in Chesapeake was my apartment at Streets of Greenbrier. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facilities. I always felt safe and comfortable and could not have picked a better place!
This place is awesome. It a great luxury apartment for the price. They have a very friendly staff thats willing to help you out. The area is wonderful and really close to the mall as well as several other stores. One downside is that parking is very limited, otherwise a great choice for a luxury apartment in the Chesapeake area.
People pay thousands to fly around the world to experience an "All exclusive get away". I come home everyday with the same great amenities and awesome staff! The complex has an awesome pool with a resort feel decor! Club house that provides free coffee, pool table, computer and printer access, gaming for the children, TV for lounging and a very equipped gym. On the premises we have a free car wash and vacuum usage. Play ground for the little people and the view of an awesome ground maintenance! Parking is plenty and they provide poopong stations for the pet lovers and daily trash service for residents! This place is perfect!!!
