Property Ratings at Stuyvesant Plaza
Recently moved into this very spacious apartment. I did experience the rotten egg smell in the water when I first moved in, but was able to resolve by running the hot water for 45 minutes. Very easy to move into this building. Secure with cameras everywhere. There is an abundance of parking for second vehicles or guests. The craftsmanship on finishes is the not the best. The bathrooms are spacious, but are much like a standard hotel bathroom. No online rent paying is an inconvenience, BUT with all the negatives, here are the utimate positives that make this great place to live...in northern NJ, you will not find a 1 bedroom apartment that is 1000sq ft, all new amenities (2 years old), washer and dryer in unit, central heat and a/c and abundant parking for less than $2000. I haven’t even talked about the location. Everything in walking distance, centrally located to EWR and Penn Station. For the price, this place is a gold mine. The only thing better would be to secure a two bedroom in this great building.
Pleasant new apartments with generous areas. Modern appliances, excellent lighting, plenty of available parking. Management of the building has been improving and new staff has been very helpful. Initial post construction issues have been satisfactorily resolved. Strongly recommend this place.
No manager is on site. Doesn’t answer phone calls & is slow to respond to emails. The AC has been an issue for the past two months. The contractor comes when they feel like it to fix it and never completes the job. Works for a few days then goes down again. The water was in issue when we first moved in, rotten egg smell and discolored. Eventually went away. We had to adjust water temperature in the shower ourselves. The Apartments themselves are spacious, but the craftsmanship on the finishes are sloppy. Overpriced for what you get.
-Property management is slow to respond to and address issues -Appears to manage mostly commercial properties - little or no experience w/rentals -Water issue from day 1 - very little pressure and rotten egg smell and discoloration - no response by mngmnt -Air conditioning units for all tenants had to have Freon added in order to work -No online service to pay rent etc.
