Property Ratings at Sugar Plum Apartments
It is quiet and woodsy. Well maintained. Isaac has made so many positive changes since he has been here. A new grilling area and playground for the children have made a big difference in the overall atmosphere. Ricardo is great and always kind and does a great job with maintenance issues. It has been extremely well managed under Isaac and I do hope he continues to manage the property. It has never looked better!
Things are really getting a lot better in the past few years with Isaac managing the property. You can tell he really cares about the place and often you will see him doing work around the property. He added a beautiful grilling area and pickleball court. It’s a lot more family friendly and he honestly cares about things looking nice and quiet enjoyment for all. I hope Isaac sticks around because he has made so many positive changes to the property. Maintenance is also right on top of things and always goes above and beyond. Ricardo has been super helpful and kind. Overall it’s a good experience here. The grounds are older but very well maintained.
The common areas constantly smell like weed. Even in your own apartment it reeks like weed. Which go ahead smoke weed, but take it outside. They can’t keep a property manager, in our 2 years here, they’re on their 3rd one. They constantly add on fees. Obviously they’ve upped our rent $100. They added on a $50 fee for trash, water and sewage. then upped that fee to $65. (keep in mind, the trash cans are constantly full of huge furniture like beds and couches. So you can never throw away your actual trash. You’re paying $65 a month to not be able to use the trash cans) They added a $150 fee every time you renew your lease. They left a note on our door saying that we have a dog and we owe $500 plus $45 a month or we’ll be evicted. we don’t have a dog. They came in the fall to replace our bathtub because it was leaking and there was mold. They never came back to finish it. This place is awful, and if i could afford to live somewhere else i would.
I was evicted (my own fault job shut down and I couldn't afford to live there anymore) however he didn't give me in writing when I had to be out by I even asked his lawyer during zoom court like what if I couldn't pay by then and he just said well you don't have to leave if you pay. He went and changed the locks on a Friday which again. Might be part of his job but eh. My cat and all my belongings were in there I got an email from him that day saying I could schedule a time for 24 hrs to get my stuff out and my cat so I emailed him like 3 times he got back to me Monday finally and said well you can schedule the time to get your belongings but we took your cat to the humane society. WHY wouldn't he have just said that right away. Not made up some BS about how I could schedule a time and get my stuff and her. (Yes she had food water and everything else) I have the emails still. And also don't count on getting a security deposit back I knew I wasn't getting mine since getting evicted and stuff but my friends house when she moved out it was nice it was clean and he still took the whole thing. Bottom line that giant banner in front of the driveway that says pet friendly it's a lie they aren't even people friendly they definitely aren't pet friendly
We have been very happy with Isaac in the office. He has been patient with us, has responded promptly to our inquiries, and kept us updated about apartment availability. We are happy customers thus far.
Love this property, it is an ideal location to all our needs. Staff is amazing and goes above and beyond. Isaac the maintenance man is on the spot. Becky always does her best to make everyone feel so welcome. Property has been worked on the past year to make it look awesome and make some much needed updates.
Common areas always smells like pot. Incompetent property manager. Music blasting well into the AM.
Becky and Mike have been absolutely amazing. Especially considering the fact that they are working without help since the manager here sadly passed away. Any issue is promptly taken care of with a smile and the attention they give me as a tenant has been second to none. I am so pleased to live in this pleasant, safe community. The rent is super reasonable and I have no plans to leave anytime soon. Thanks again to the amazing, talented team here!
Management is friendly and very helpful. They helped us get into the perfect unit as soon as possible after learning our situation. Maintenance is very friendly and helpful, they have helped us with all requests, even the ones that were simple in the end This is a wonderful place to get yourself situated and life started. My neighbors are all wonderful and friendly and I'm so very happy with this place!
Me and my girlfriend recently moved into a two bedroom apartment. We love it its very clean and spacious. We have a 3rd floor apartment. The appliances are in very good condition. The management are friendly they even aloud us to meet before there normal hours. So that we where able to sign the lease before we had to go to work. We have a nice deck with a nice storage spot. The rooms are very big with walk in closets. The rent in my opinion is very well priced for what they offer. Depending on the unit will depend if your heat is included in your rent or not. We also have a real working fireplace in our unit which is a awesome feature.
This apartment complex is in a great location for beaches, shopping, restaurants, outdoor activity, community college and so much more. There is a playground, tennis court, and washer/dryer on site for our convenience. The staff and maintenance are there to help when needed. Compared to other apartments in the area, the price is a lot cheaper.
