wish you could give -100 stars! Don't live here! The pictures are misleading, all they did was take some cheap paint and paint over all the old kitchens. I knew it was a bad sign when I couldn't get a call back after 5 calls over 2 days before moving in. The leasing manager is rude and blames everything on being short staff. I was left without AC for a weekend when it was 103 outside. Left without a running toilet for 8 hours after calling the office 3 times and submitting 2 work orders. My unit was set for a June 9 move in, yet the apartment was not ready. Just a few of the many items that came with a "move in ready unit that was just redone" Missing tile on floors stains on the carpets no working keys no mailbox keys Ants and bugs all over The garage was filled of supplies they used to "redo" the apartment No Hot water No working AC and I was given a window unit that leaked all over. No trash can for valet trash service, yet I had to pay for it. There was over 40 nails, screws and hooks throughout the apartment and in the garage. Maintenace staff came in to fix some items and made them worse and no dates can be given on when anything will be fixed. Reached out to the regional manager of the company yet she is not reachable. This place is a mess and a joke. They really don't care about people, their jobs or what they tell tenants. Do not rent here, you will be sorry and regret it.
It's the worst. Bugs, maintenance takes months, the office never calls you back, the pools are always closed, the gyms DO NOT look like these pictures, it's awful. So bad. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.
There are so many things i need address 1. Roof ceiling is wet and complained about it 3-5 months back but still no use 2. Roaches are allover the kitchen and living room area 3. Trash and pet poop is seen in so many places. 4. maintenance service is not good at all
Half of what I'd write would probably get a lawyer to send a letter. 3+ property managers in under a year. selectively enforced parking permits. trash everywhere.
I’ve been waiting 10 months for my dryer to be fixed. I have 2 months left on my lease and it still hasn’t been fixed. I’m not even sure if they have ordered the part yet. I’ve been told by 3 people the part would be ordered. Roaches are everywhere. They get in our microwave, oven, clock on the oven, cabinets, drawers, and behind the fridge. Exterminator comes Friday’s. You have to call every week to be put on the list and he doesn’t always come. Trashes are only picked up Monday and Friday. We were able to put out 2 bags of trash. Now they are giving violations for more than 1 bag out. It took them about a month to come “treat” our black mold in the restroom after we told them we would have the health department come. We pay our bills and do maintenance request on an app. There’s a $30 fee included to use the app. AC in one fitness center never works. No one cleans up after their dogs. Gate fob never works. Gates are always open.
Poor communication. Management is terrible. 3 property managers in 3 months. No one takes accountability for their actions in the office. They do not take care of maintenance request in a timely fashion. No one updates you on the status for weeks and even months. The women in that office are over worked but can’t handle pressure anytime someone wants to ask about an update they cry or put it on someone else. Let’s not even talk about the pool we can’t use and the gym we can’t access. From Day one things have been a problem and nothing is done to make it better. PLEASE AVIOD this place !!
I cannot wait for my lease to end in September to get out of here! We didn’t have a working dishwasher for 8 months, we’ve had a leak above our shower for 2 months that we’ve been told twice “we’ll be back tomorrow to fix it” with no follow up. And we had a raccoon fall through our ceiling! We loved Scabby Randy though, he was cool. They will come “fix” an issue yet not do any repairs to fix what the issue has caused (like messed up floor boards from leaks). They don’t enforce a dog on leash policy which is every dangerous and there is poop all over the dog park that they never enforce people to pick up. I could say so many more awful things about this place. Please just don’t move here:-)
As a current resident, I have not had a terrible experience here, overall it's a nice area to live and not a bad apartment unit at all, but not worth the price with all the hidden fees and the management team being so lack luster. The interface for how residents can pay rent and submit maintenance request is limited to just a phone app with only the option to pay rent or request maintenance. There's no way to know if requests have been received or if/when someone will be coming by the apartment to address the request. They need an actual resident site for this stuff and with more organized details on our requests and payments. I normally have to go to the front office to request things because it goes unanswered for so long. Communication with Management in general is very one sided unless I go to the office in person. When the end of my lease was approaching, I was essentially caught off guard and pressured to sign my next lease without time to consider my options or examine the document. There is dog poop everywhere all the time and people are not required to leash their dogs (I have been jumped on by a few). I haven't had major issues with my actual unit but management seems very disinterested in the welfare of its residents, and will charge whatever they can to get the most out of them...
I asked for many services and was promised they would come out and help with water heater and other maintenance things as well as a safety issue. Gates never work right. Not very secure in a crime area. Office is unorganized with files. READ YOUR LEASE TERMS!!
But this place has got to be one of the worst apartment complexes in the area. Im a currently a renter here and my lease is up on April 17th. I Wake up this morning to my lock being drilled out and a single missed call from the office saying i was to move out on the 7th even though they received no 60 day notice from me and I have not heard any communications from them whatsoever. So i call to let them know i am still in my apartment and say i need to stay till the end of the month, and they tell me i need to be gone by the 14th but still they expect to pay a full months rent LOL. I cannot believe they are still trying to charge the prices they do with the service they deliver. So long story short, and with this being one incidence on a long list of horrible examples of customer service i can say with confidence DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Let me define luxury to you per "Luxury Apartments" at Scofield Park's dictionary: - unprofessional staff and a company that wants to nickel and dime the heck out of you(read your contract ten times before signing or deal with all the charges they never tell you about since they don't have a lease break clause). The staff will harass you to sign a lease calling you continuously and even from different numbers if you block them on one. If this doesn't scream "run as fast as you can", read on. - raise the same maintenance request ten times before someone looks at it(if they do at all) and even then you might end up fixing it yourself to avoid headaches and keep your sanity - living with roaches (mine turned into a full blown infestation waiting for them to send the exterminator which I asked for 5 times before dealing with it out of pocket to avoid damages to my belongings) - trash in the alleyways at all times(they keep sending emails about fines so either people are just full of money to keep paying fines or they know they will never have to) in addition to one of the highest valet trash fees I have seen - parking - the real luxury at Scofield - do a celebratory dance if you're able to find a spot on premises after 6pm on weekdays. - gates that work for all of 24 hours before no longer closing and you HAVE to pay 50$ for a key fob - no lighting on property at night to add to the "sense of safety" you get from gates that don't work All the positive reviews, I believe, are people writing them upon request from the employees on your first ever good response from them(usually the first month or so). I know because I did it too when they asked me in the first month when they were on top of maintenance requests and helping me get settled in for the hell of the experience I would have
BEWARE: Do not rent here, I repeat, do not rent here! I want to preface this by saying that although my experience with Scofield apartments in the last 18 months has been nightmarish, my experience with the folks that work at the leasing office has been good. I do think that for the most the people that work at the leasing office do try their best. The issue I suspect is from the Connor Group/corporate.
I love my 1 bedroom it’s spacious, clean and close to everything. Chrissy showed me this apartment and I immediately took it ..m Thanks Chrissy .
Horrible place. Had to move out because of continuous roach infestation. After 6 months they still couldn’t resolve the issue. Do not rent here.
TL;DR for what are pretty good facilities, the management has fallen tragically short. The pros: The complex itself is fine in terms of the facilities themselves, and the pricing is pretty competitive for the Austin area. The Domain, MoPac, and I-35 are all very accessible, which is convenient. However, the communication and support during COVID-19 has been negligent at best. A couple examples: 1. They have had at least 1 confirmed COVID-19 case, as of April, in the complex, in which multiple grounds crew were exposed, and did not communicate any of this information to their tenants. They reopened the pool area and fitness facility, but the workout area has zero airflow, and we have no way of gauging the risk of using it since we don't know about any recent infections in the complex that may have also used the facility. Our rents are all still the same price and include the facilities, of course, or our rents been increased during COVID. 2. When updating facilities, their communication is also embarrassingly insufficient. When management decided to resurface the parking lot, they have towed cars that are in the way. the only warning they gave was 1 email 4 days before and bulletins around the complex, so if you only get your mail 1-2 times a week and happen to miss AN email, your car will get towed at your expense. Other tenants were better about warning us as the towing was happening than the management was. 3. No visibility into when work orders will be filled. I've had multiple orders, which I've either submitted myself or leasing officers have offered to submit for me, either take weeks to be addressed or are straight up not filled. From what tenants are able to see, they still use a paper form to manage work orders internally, and in any case, we have no visibility around expected completion dates, timelines, etc. There are some other similar instances, but the point is that most of the burden and expectations are on tenants to manage communications with the property's management, and leasing agents are often hung out to dry when it comes to addressing tenants' questions or complaints. This negligence can have real financial impacts on tenants. If you like what a unit you see has to offer, then that's great and I would endorse the facilities themselves. Just don't expect management to follow through on working with you and keeping you in the loop unless it's about you paying them.
I don't even know where to begin. This place was just disappointing and disgusting. We toured in person and the unit had three dead roaches in one of the bedrooms... the countertops and appliances were very old and beaten up and the carpet very obviously had not been replaced in years (if ever). They advertise these as LUXURY apartments and they are NOT. In addition, the staff are pushy. Like car salespeople. It was just a horrible experience and waste of time. If you are looking for a nice apartment, skip this apartment complex.
I went in for a meeting last week and the staff was wonderful and the energy was great. Things went left when it came to viewing of the apartment. Even though they offer great deals I noticed some discrepancies when I went on tour of the apartment which I expressed to them. I noticed discoloration in the walls, dirty bathtub, displacement of the tiles in the kitchen, and cracks in the walls. I was told they would be handled and fixed before I move in but I think if your trying to persuade somebody, things like that should be fixed beforehand. Because of the lack of time and great price they offered with the amount of space that was given I accepted the offer. Due to my circumstances with my current apartment and other personal things I let them know that even tho I signed the application and payed the $350 fee I changed my mind. I notified them that I will no longer be moving in on June 8th due to my contract with my current apartment and a possible relocation. Till this day I haven’t found out if I was approved for the apartment or not. They asked for documents such as pay stubs and proof of employment but I did not see the need to send my information because like I told several staff members that I am no longer interested in leasing that apartment. I was told by the property Manager (Manuel) that if denied I would receive $250 out of $350 deposit. My problem is if I no longer am interested in the apartment, why haven’t I received my money back yet? And most of all it seems like I’m being forced to stay in an apartment that I haven’t even moved into yet. I’ve spoke to several staff members about this and was told it would be handled just for nothing to happen. I want to handle this matter amicably before i get the authority’s involved especially being an officer of the state of Texas. I was told by staff they would hold the apartment until my current lease is up, and that won’t be another 60 days which makes no sense to me. I’m sure there are other candidates that would lease that apartment, I see no point in why they would reserve the unit for me if I will not be staying there. I was told by staff that I am responsible for that apartment no matter what which is unprofessional and uncouth. This is the last time I will say this, I will not be moving into the unit and I need my money refunded back to me immediately!.
Great place to live and great staff taking care of your needs!
They made excuses of management change at least twice while I was living there and forced me to pay something I am not willing to pay for. When I moved out they sent me a bill I don’t know anything about. I found few mistakes they made on the transactions they weren’t willing to correct it. It’s ridiculous apartment managements having that much power over the residents and I am not one who like to go back and forth with these kind of people. I will definitely report them to BBB and I make sure they pay for every damage they have caused on me.
The community is wonderful, great amenities and big things are happening at this complex. Mark is fantastic and I highly recommend these apartments.
I've lived at this complex for one year now, and it is easily the worst-run complex I have ever had the misfortune to live in. The units themselves are average but overpriced, but the management and maintenance staff are what truly earn Scofield Park a single star, though I'd give zero if I could. Although the staff was always pleasant to me before moving in (they always are), I realized that something wasn't right on the day that I picked up the keys. The lease had already been signed, and I had scheduled and confirmed with the office that I would be there at 11 am to pick up the keys so I could begin moving immediately as to not incur any late fees from the moving truck rental. When I showed up promptly at 11, the staff acted surprised that I was there. I realized why after I entered the apartment. They had done a cursory cleaning, but the unit wasn't ready at all for me to move in. The fridge, oven, and dishwasher were in the unit but had not been connected or plugged in, the kitchen backsplash was missing tiles, and it was obvious that nobody had actually done a deep clean of the unit. I had signed the lease a full two months before my move-in was scheduled, and the staff couldn't be bothered to clean my apartment or do a walkthrough beforehand to ensure that it was ready. This was just the start of my issues with the neglectful staff at this complex. I have had to talk to Connor Group's corporate customer service several times for numerous issues because the property manager Nikole does not make herself available AT ALL to residents. She is never in the office, and every single time I have ever asked to speak with her, I'm told that she's out or unavailable. When I asked staff to leave her notes to have her call me back, I'd get no response. When I'd email the property email address, I'd get no response. After several attempts to talk to her over several months, the first time I got a return phone call was when I contacted the corporate office to file a complaint about the property. This is a terrible property, Nikole is a terrible property manager, and they do not care one bit about the residents.
1. A/C does not keep up with the spring/summer heat, as we speak it is 80 outside & my temp is sitting at 76 when I have it set to 72. I've called numerous times to have the A/C system checked when I found out that these apartments have absolutely no insulation in them, my biggest complaint & the reason i have $200 bill every month for electricity 2. When I first moved in the community was safe, 9 months later the front gate has broken so many times that I can't even count & the cops have been called 4 times (I called on one of these incidents), last call ended up having 10 cop cars & 2 EMS trucks onsite at midnight on weekday 3. Hardly any parking 4. These are no luxury apartments by any means. You don't get what you pay for
Although this was the worst residence experience I’ve had since moving to Austin 2 years ago, it’s good to see the reviews show consistency - the staff will lie to you. Lived in a 1 bedroom for 1yr and STRONGLY recommend you consider selecting a different apartment complex - the experience here was beyond horrible and the staff will fail to remedy your concerns or issues, while giving you false hope so that you leave them alone (until the next issue). The most glaring issues were with management, maintenance, and parking. Maintenance: Slow, slow, slow. In addition to sometimes waiting over a week for some issues, they also failed to ever provide any documentation that repairs were made; occasionally saw the results, which were adequate 50% of the time. The worst was a pest issue involving cockroaches during the summer - luckily this was outsourced and the pest guy was pretty awesome. It did require more than one trip from him. Management: I pity everyone in the office because they are constantly under water - there was never a time visiting the office they weren’t attempting to juggle multiple resident issues, which usually resulted in getting less than stellar service. Never once received follow ups from the manager - the staff at the office tend to be more focused giving you the runaround and giving you false hope a concern will be remedied. I’ll give them the shadow of a doubt and assume this may receive a stock reply saying they “wish to remedy” - if only it hadn’t been worn out in the first 6mo of living here. When pushed, they will get nasty and degrading towards your situation unless you have ironclad evidence and reason supporting your request. Safety: Although this is a gated community expect the gates to be broken on a consistent basis. Also be VERY careful because residents will drive the wrong way though gates every day. Parking: Common situation - more residents and vehicles than they have unpaid spots available, AKA “free” parking. You can pay for a covered spot, but also know that there have been several cars towed out of covered parking spots recently — not sure of the cause, but have seen this multiple nights every month for the last 3 months. Seems a lot of neighbors/visitors are parking in covered parking spots that belong to paying residents. Overall, this has decreased any trust in the Connor Group and will never consider another property managed by their organization.
IF YOU WANT TO TORTURE YOURSELF, RENT HERE. Bad maintenance and service. It's been 5 week days I'm here and not even a single day has passed without any problems. Day one, door lock breaks. The bathroom wasn't clean before giving the apartment. The patio looked like a sand dune. 2 lights in kitchen not working. Roof starts leaking on day 3 in bathroom. Toilet tank overflows. When office was informed, maintenance came and said they have fixed the water leak from roof and toilet tank however nothing changed and they didn't even bother to look at lights not working. In fact, water starts dripping from the roof like a faucet is left on. They say washer and dryer comes in the apartment however what good is it when it DOESN'T WORK. I had my bed linen washed and the dryer won't come on. Office was informed and they said someone will be there to check however NO ONE CAME TO FIX THE PROBLEM. When I called emergency service of apartment at 11pm to let them know about the water running down from roof, the maintenance guy said he will not come to fix it at night and said put a bucket underneath and keep emptying it. SO I'M EXPECTED TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT LONG TO EMPTY THE BUCKET BECAUSE THE MAINTENANCE DOESN'T WANT TO WORK. Not recommended at all. They claim great service but you'll get the worst experience of your life.
I have lived here now for 4 years. The location is great and close to everything. I've had a few small issues over the years but my experience has been great overall. Maintainence has been quick in fixing, and I have not had any major issues to deal with. At times the pool has been closed due to cleaning, but there are 2 on the property so you have options. I enjoy living here and feel very safe in the community. Office staff is always super friendly and Kayla has been a wonderful help in my renewal process for going on a 5th year. I will say the trash payment is high and there is a fee for valet trash that you cannot get out of, even if you live right next to a dumpster. I would definitely recommend the property, Hands down!!!
I have lived here for 6 years but will be moving when my lease is up this year. Since the Connor Group took over things have gone downhill. When I put in a work order it takes forever to get anything done. Every time I have needed any type of maintenance I have had to keep calling every day or so, otherwise I don't think anyone would show up. The gates are out of order more than they are working. The has been shut down twice. Each time it was closed for at least a month. The fees have increased dramatically. During this past year my water/trash bill has more than doubled. I know my water usage has not increased 100%. The dog poop spots are not being emptied regularly. The office staff is continually changing. There has even been three different managers in year and a half since Connor Group took over. I used to love living here. Now I can't wait for my lease to end so I can get out of here.
I have lived here for almost five years and I used to love it here, but I will be leaving after this lease is up. The way the new management team treats the tenants is awful. I have a water heater that has left a lake in my master closet four times now. Still have not replaced the water heater, even though the gas value is broken and you now have to turn the gas off to the entire building in order to turn the gas off on the water heater now; and the stupid thing is still leaking! My closet still smells like mold and they said they put down some deodorizer and that will take care of it. If that was all they were going to do, why didn't they do that last week and not make me wait yet another week to use my closet. Yes, I had to live without a closet for two weeks. And it probably would have been longer if I hadn't called and bugged them today about no one coming out for the past week!
Very nice apartment and good management. Highly recommended
no hot air or hot water.....Heater never got fixed since the last week despite complaining about it five times The Maintenance crew sucks.....they never fix things.......least experienced guys....they just simply blame you....... (haha we just moved in 15 minutes ago) All appliances in the apartments are very old n rusty....never replaced the old ones as promised during the beginning of lease....carpet sucks They just lure with offers/discounts......don't get fooled n sign the lease.....For prospective applicants, they don't show you the apartment that will be leased to you On the day of move/while ticking the checklist items, they turn off the lights immediately saying that we want to save power.....this is trickery/deception to hide the rusty/broken items
I have lived here for just over 3 years. It was fine in the beginning. New management came in and promised lots of great changes. What a joke! The pools are DISGUSTING, there are random mattresses and couches near the dumpster, and we are now paying double in trash fees... for no good reason. There is trash everywhere. Maintenance is a joke... they halfway fix things, if they come at all... then promise to come back and finish, but do not (now going on over a month from a leak in the walls). The A/C in the gym doesn't work (nor do half of the cardio machines). I am counting the days until my lease is up! Do not move here!
1. The last 2 weeks we lived here we did not have hot water in the kitchen. (never got looked at or fixed even though we reported it 5 times. ) 2.They "fixed" my dryer 3 times. Finally I gave up and found a workaround. 3. The dishwasher would randomly leak all over the kitchen. They "fixed" it. It still leaks. 4. Security gate was almost always broken. For a while it would set off an alarm every time it opened. Ear piercing alarm that you could even hear in your apartment. 5. They sent the wrong deposit refund check to me. The only option I have is to find the guy and get him to endorse the check to me. That was the solution they gave me. 6. They lied about what we would be charged out of deposit. I had to argue my point to get the correct amount. It was kinda funny how the charges came to the exact amount of the deposit. 7. During fire alarm testing the employees started yelling at families trying to figure out why testing was still going on after the 6pm cutoff. Anytime I would inquire about why my service requests were not getting fixed, the property manager would tell me they had to many pressing issues that needed to be addressed. My problems were not important enough. This conversation took place a couple times with no resolve. I finally had to just learn to live with broken stuff. Almost every time I went to the office someone was in there complaining about the same issues. They have no problem lying to your face.
A gated community with newly renovated pool, dog park, and landscaping. The apartments themselves are nice. Laminate floors and counter tops. Carpeted throughout excluding the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. The price for the apartments are reasonable and the staff are very friendly and pleasant. 15 minutes from pretty much any major location with easy access to Mopac and I-35.
