The town of Livingston is a cozy and quiet one in Louisiana, as it’s just over three square miles. Many of the people who live here commute to work in neighboring towns and cities; specifically, those who enjoy a simple home life. However, the small-town atmosphere combined with outdoor entertainment and dining, makes this city a great place to live.
Aside from the typical dining options like fast-food chains, the locals really prefer the independently owned eateries such as Wayne’s Real BBQ off Route 63. Its hole-in-the-wall ambiance coupled with out-of-this-world brisket makes this place really stand out from the pack.
Entertainment in Livingston is going to be more nature-based. From camping to outdoor nature walks, this city will really have you tuned in to the great outdoors – your soon-to-be favorite channel. In addition, it has a relatively robust park and recreation department.

Property Ratings at Suma Lake Apartments & Townhomes
The place is outdated and has mold and bats infestation. The office staff is rude and unprofessional. The maintenance crew is lazy and does the job half way at beat. Pictures are from when they first built the place. Everything is green or black from mold. Trash is all over the place. The pond stinks and has trash and overgrown grass. The lawn only gets cut in the front not in the back. They have inadequate lighting in parking lot. And several break ins about once a week.
Safe for all because of owners and personnel there keep this safe and clean for all their remnants
I WAS LEGALLY REMOVED FROM MY LEASE AFTER PAYING RENT FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2015(SIGNED A LETTER IN THEIR OFFICE). NOW THAT I'M HOUSE SHOPPING AND NEED A VERIFICATION OF RENT, ALL THEY PROVIDE IS THAT I WAS REMOVED FROM THE LEASE BEFORE IT EXPIRED. THEY REFUSE TO MENTION THAT THAT I LIVED THERE FROM MAY 2014-JUNE 2015 AND THAT EVERY PAYMENT WAS MADE ON TIME. I WAS A GREAT TENANT, KEPT UP WITH MY APARTMENT, RENT, AND ALL RESPONSIBILITIES. MY EX TOOK SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OVER THE LEASE IN JUNE 2015. WHY GIVE ME A HARD TIME FOR HIS ACTIONS? I CAN'T MAKE HIM PAY HIS RENT, NOR DID I STEP FOOT IN THAT APARTMENT AFTER I LEFT. VERY POOR SERVICE!
Property Manager at Suma Lake Apartments & Townhomes, Responded To This Review
I'm sorry you feel that way... We offer exemplary service to our residents. 24 hour emergency maintenance assistance and we try to assist our residents with any problems they have in a courteous and timely manner. However, legally we cannot give out information about a current resident to someone who has no legal binding to our contract.
So far, I love these apartments! They have a beautiful lake you can fish in. My kids even like to walk around it looking at the turtles, fish, frogs, and ducks. The pool is right there at the lake, so you have the view of the lake as you're swimming or laying out. There is also a playground area and a huge open field. It's a great place for kids to get outside and play soccer, softball, kickball, etc. The apartment building are beautiful! Most of them look like houses instead of apartments. Just a really nice place for adults and kids!
We would have never left if we didn't purchase a home. Great neighborhood, school bus picks up the kids right in front of the complex. Office staff is friendly and maintenance is responsive. Beautiful and relaxing view of the lake.
