The mix of cosmopolitan flair and low-key atmosphere once led LA Weekly to speculate that North Hollywood just might be the best place to live in the Los Angeles area. This community has become popular among artists, writers, filmmakers, and actors seeking balance between easy access to Hollywood and a quieter, more suburban home environment.
The local food and bar scene is robust, and the bohemian vibe of the NoHo Art District attracts all manner of offbeat creative types. Uncommon among Los Angeles-area communities, much of North Hollywood is quite walkable, with food, drinks, galleries, and performance venues just a leisurely stroll away from one another. Thankfully for renters, all of the perks of this location come at a relatively affordable cost. Most renters pay an average of $2,282 to rent in North Hollywood, about $500 less than the Los Angeles average.

Property Ratings at Summer Breeze Apartments
Roach issues. Laminate floor is blisteringnand comming up. I've been trying to get it fixed since November of '23 multiple repair issues go ignored or unaddressed. A/c unit constantly goes out. Landscaping is a joke. Regular rent increases but nothing changes. Cornelia was a great manager but she left. The new one got tlreplaced and the current one is overworked and splits his time in other complexes.
The prior apartment manager had been there for years and was effective and responsive. Since she left, the management has changed several times and doesn’t do their job and are very difficult to contact. The apartment was updated superficially inside, the outside of the building and plumbing is showing it’s age. Some of the ledges outside of the windows are falling off due to dry rot. Although there are signs for picking up after your pet, poop in the landscaping remains a problem.
We have loved living here the past 11 years. Cornelia keeps things clean and well maintained. If something breaks she gets it fixed.
This place is amazing. Our apartment is very nice and spacious. i've lived here for a few years and i love the little park i have when i walk outside my apartment. There is so much green and the manager is always taking care of the place. DEFINITELY recommend SUMMER BREEZE APARTMENTS
Terrible management and no communication skills. Manager has maintaince workers come into the apart at random times without warning or notice. Not cool when you're in the shower and there's a random stranger inside my apartment. Expect rent increase every 5-6 months. Water to be turned off for a 9 hour stretch, and pipes that screech every time someone from an adjacent unit flushes the toilet or showers. Laundry rooms that are constantly out of service, and people that go In and steal clothes. Inside parking is not safe, many people have complained about having cars broken into. I've had my car doors keyhole broken. It's just disappointing. This is a building where tenants come and go. I've had 4 neighbors in less than 2 years.
In a city where the average rent is so high no matter if you make 6 figures. You wind up paying most of the money to the rich who own expensive apartment buildings. My apartment has everything I need and is affordable and only 1 mile from my job. It has central air conditioning, dishwasher, secure parking, pool, and jacuzzi, and well below the average rent for the area, and its only 5 minutes away from my job. It allows me to eventually save to purchase a condo one day. I love my apartment!!
