Property Ratings at Summers Run
Where to begin. Location. Right on hwy 220 but sounds like racetrack 220. Very LOUD. The walls are PAPER THIN. Voices are heard especially at 3 am as if in the room with you. Prices are increasing as if they are updating the apartments but the back decks look like they would fall if more than 2 people were to gather out there. The smokers are allowed to stand in their doorways & puff away while the other residents are having to keep windows closed to keep the smell away.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPLEX. You will regret it.

I have been living here for a few months now and have had nothing but a wonderful experience! The office staff is so nice and helpful! I would highly recommend living here!
I was really happy that I took a look at these apartments. The actual apartments are pretty spacious and have that clean feeling you hope to find in a new place. What really sold me on Summers Run is the surrounding area, it's quiet and peaceful and I felt really safe walking around checking out the property. The staff was amazing at answering all of my questions and it felt like they really wanted to get to know me and not just rent me an apartment.
I have been at this complex since December of 2018. New ownership took over the last week of October 2018. It is currently November of 2019. I seen very reviews for the new ownership and have heard people complain about rent increases. This is not fair to the new management that inherited a property that was 10 years behind market value. In order to improve a property that was obviously neglected for at least 5 years, it takes capital. Updating units and the property cannot be done if you are 10 years behind in market value. This has been one of the quietest and peaceful places I have ever lived. We now have 2 of our local policeman living on site. One from the city of Asheboro and one from Randolph County. Previous disgruntled residents that lived here for years without rent increases should feel very fortunate.
This was one of the many properties I had on my list of potential apartments to visit during a short trip to the area. Since I am moving from out of state I wanted to stop by as many places as possible before signing a lease and I was so happy I found Summers Run. I called all of the offices for each apartment I had on my list ahead of time to make sure they would be open and available for me to tour. The woman who answered the phone at Summers Run was so nice and helpful in getting my visit scheduled and even told me a little bit about the area during our chat. I have moved around a lot over the years so I can say that the apartments themselves are pretty nice, the set up/floor plans are what you would expect, and the general area feels safe. I would def recommend taking a look at Summers Run if you are thinking about making a move to Asheboro.

So happy to have met you yesterday! We look forward to making your move to Asheboro a happy one. You'll be just in time for our holiday decorating contest. See you soon.
Lived here for so long only for a new company to come in and take over!!! They went up on rent and I've seen more cops in that neighborhood than I ever did before! My neighbor lived there for over 20 years and had to move also due to increase! They said everyone had to sign new leases when their most loyal customers was on moth to month. If you ask me they are loosing more money by running off the loyal people than they will make and they are going around telling all the other apartment they are at full capacity! I seen a girls gutter fall down one night and then another piece a week later and they didnt fix it til she moved out. The places are too old and outdated for the price.

Sorry to hear you feel you had a bad experience with Summers Run. There is no doubt you see law enforcement on the property, they live here! As with any cost of living increase, rents had to adjusted to allow us to keep the property well maintained. Our apartments have been updated over the past year and they are beautiful, spacious and a great value for the price. This quiet community has remained home to many of our long time residents and they know how much we appreciate them
I lived here 3 years and a new company bought them out and kept it secret from the residents. Rent was significantly increased and they require renter's insurance and a $175 admin fee. A lot of people are moving out. This is a good community of people that live there, but these are not, by any means, luxury apartments. Save your money and yourself the heartache, don't rent from Bella management or Summers Run Apartments.
Property Manager at Summers Run, Responded To This Review
Most reputable properties will require renter's insurance for the protection of both the resident and the property owner. It's a very minimal cost and should anything happen, would be invaluable for the protection. Summers Run has never charged a $175.00 admin fee. As a matter of fact, for the month of November, we are waiving the $99.00 admin fee we have also charged.
Hated this place under worst management. Do not rent this place otherwise will regret..ALERT ALRRT ALERT-WORST MANAGENT AND NO PEACE
Nice..quiet..fenced safe..good..clean Good management
The three bedroom apartment has a large spacious floorplan for a great price. The kitchen is large with plenty of cabinet and counter space. The living room is large size as well. The living room and kitchen are only separated by a waist high bar with no cabinets overhead allowing for an open feeling. The master bedroom is larger than the living room and the two back rooms are spacious as well.
This is an ideal setting, conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, medical facilities and much more. Water and sewer included make it a terrific bargain. Floor plan is great, with split bedroom plan. Very quiet neighborhood and excellent amenities like walking trail, volleyball court, fitness center, and salt water pool. Apartments and grounds are very well maintained, and the staff here is excellent. Living here is both comfortable and enjoyable; truly feels like home.
When I was contemplating where I was going to stay when I moved too NC, I checked on Apartments.com. After looking through several very descriptive listings, I began to call the various locations on my short list. Each day I would check and compare but the one location that kept standing out each time was Summer's Run. I had to come to NC on some business and decided to stop in. After meeting and talking with the property manager, I was completely sold. She put my mind at ease and I left feeling as if I had found my new place of residence. Being single, I like that it felt safe and offered a security system. I have enjoyed my time here and I have felt cared about and not just a renter. This was meaningful because this was the FIRST time I have ever rented! I also like the fact that most of the other residents that lived in the complex loved it so much that they made it their long term residence!
I have lived at Summers Run apartment since 2009. My favorite part is how they always look out for me. They are quick to respond to any concerns that may arise and make you feel valued! I love the open and spacious layout of my one bedroom. I also love the various events that are held throughout the year that encourage a feeling of community. They offer garden boxes, which can be really neat and a nice pool. I love the fact that the apartments are not crowded together. Where my sister lives, there are 8 apartments to one breezeway but at Summer's Run there are only 4 apartments per entry way. This makes it not too crowded, which I LOVE! I love love the location, since I work it Greensboro, its right off the bypass and easy access to Asheboro, Randleman, Greensboro, High Point, and Archdale. I love my neighbors and I love the management.
We have lived here at Summers Run for 6 years...It is the best place around...We have a pool...playground...volleyball..basketball....fitness center...you can stay right here and have everything you need....The people are great.Everyone gets along. We have what we call "back door neighbors". Any time we visit each other we go to the back door...We have lived other complexes but this is the best !! If you ever need mainteance ( which is not very often ) they are right there getting you fixed up and on their way. Property manager Mary is awesome...She will help in any way to make their home..your home.....They also do monthly mainteance.....exterminator comes regularly...dont have to worry about a thing...landscape service does the yard dont worry about mowing....what can I say except this is an AWESOME Apartment.....SUMMERS RUN.....
I have lived here since 2011, left for a year because I was in a 2 story townhouse and wanted single story. Been back now for just over a year and I'm totally loving it. The amenities are great yes, but nowhere can this standard of living be found at such affordable rates. The office staff is amazing. Some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. These are people who take very obvious pride in making this a safe and wonderful place to live and raise a family. There's a fitness center, pool, walking trail, a small park and even a garden area to indulge your inner farmer if you choose. Next time I move it will be into a bigger unit because I now need a home office so need an extra bedroom/study but will be in the same complex.
