What began as a resort getaway for the Low Country elite in the 19th century has blossomed into a thriving community on the outer edge of the Charleston area. Countless buildings in town have been added to the National Register of Historic Places, so the local architecture definitely contributes to the charming atmosphere.
The town has experienced massive growth since the 1980s, meaning many of the apartments and homes are fairly new, and the cost of living is very affordable compared to many places closer to the city. Only about 30 minutes to downtown Charleston via I-26, it’s a great place for commuters to call home. Parents will appreciate the terrific local schools and family-friendly events like the annual Flowertown Festival.

Property Ratings at Summerville Station
Everything has been great! The entire process has been smooth and everyone is so nice and helpful. My first night “home”, I felt comfortable and safe.
The experience before and after purchasing the apartment is different. Prior to me moving in, the staff were more helpful however they often times did not answer the phone compared to now. The communication is not the best, there are still repairs that need to be done in my unit and the gym is still not finished even though it was only supposed to be a few weeks.
Close to stores and resturaunts easy to get in and out of complex.
Summerville Stoation offers high quality homes for a great price and the community feels so comfortable.
Affordable with a great location
It's seems like a good community to live at. I have only been here just less than a month. I tried to keep to myself. Everything is fine.
Clean, quiet, lots of shade trees. Friendly, courteous staff. I love it here. Would definitely recommend.
Don’t let this place fool you! New ownership recently took over and unfortunately, hired back the old property manager. This women has no people skills, no communication skills, nor does she take responsibility for anything. We never receive email notifications when work is being done or when issues arise. For example: the pool has been shut down (again). We have received different explanations as to why but never in a formal statement sent to all residents from management. The pool was constantly closed when she ran the property prior. Once she left, there was little to no issues with it being consistently open...even during the pandemic! Another example: tree trimming was done a few weeks ago, no notice given. There were men in boom lifts outside bedroom windows. Who knows what they may have caught a glimpse of. Be careful taking your children to the park. There is drug paraphernalia just laying around constantly. Be careful walking your dog around the fence line as there is broken glass and garbage thrown about. Not sure what maintenance really takes care of daily. This morning I witnessed a maintenance man power washing his truck tires. Our breezeways could use a good power washing. To sum it up, you will be dealing with no communication, limited to no amenities and unkept grounds.
I would recommend these apartments to others because it' a quiet well kept complex, friendly neighbors, it' an overall good places to stay
100% good place to live
I love living in Summerville Station. It's close to Publix and CVS and taking Uber isn't too expensive. All the Managers and Maintence people are wonderful.
Location to stores and restaurants. The apartments are nice and surrounding are nice and clean.
YES
I love the community, the food trucks that come through the week . how at home the management team makes you feel off the bat.
Its a good community for the location and pricing.
Summerville Station has always been willing to help with any issues I've had. I have made some good friends with other residents. I love that Summerville Station hosts food trucks and has hosted movie nights! The atmosphere is very pleasant.
The buildings are old, but company is attempting to improve appearance. For the money I guess very comfortable and quiet.
I am glad I chose Summerville station to live. The office staff strives to remedy any issues as quickly as possible. They work hard to create a community atmosphere here. The neighbors are friendly.
Had a great time in our stay her at Summerville Station the maintenance guys do a terrific job helping keep our stay lovely safe clean and wonderful
Let’s other guest settle with having bedbugs. The bedbugs travel through the apartments through the electric ect. The management was not concerned what so ever about them and wouldnt be surprised if the entire complex had them. Gross.
The quality of service is unparalleled. You get a spacious apartment at a reasonable cost. You get more for your money here.
Over all we love the experience at Summerville Station I already have a few pharmacy techs doctors nurses and pharmacists who would like to move in me and my roommate Victor just moved in 12 days in and the staff Is working hard to make us feel very comfortable and we really do appreciate them Big shout out to Riley and the maintenance crew for making our home right for us and Enjoying the wonderful experience
Great place to live, family friendly, beautiful grounds and pool area. We moved from out of state and our move in process was a breeze- management was excellent. Their system for maintenance requests is straight forward and impressive, they had someone sent out within an hour to address our issue, it was fixed in two hours! Very pleased!

As a whole the Station is a nice place to call home and the location for me is very convenient. The management team is super nice and accommodating as well.

Property Manager at Summerville Station, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share you experience with us. We are so happy to hear that you are pleased with our community, our staff, and your home at Summerville Station. Have a wonderful day. Summerville Station Management
The previous manager & office staff was friendly, helpful and prompt in answering questions. The current manager is one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever encountered. She doesn’t respond to emails. She doesn’t look into complaints of drug dealers or abandoned cars on property. The pool/grill area has been closed since end of July 2019. The staff continues to lie in regards to when it will be reopened or why it was shut down to begin with. The “updated” units still have the old toilets, tubs, sinks and blinds. The walls, doors and flooring is so thin you can hear everything your neighbors say. The sub flooring is so weak that neighbors can here every little step. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere!
Overall has been a great living experience in the last 3 and half years.
Very quiet area and area of the complex is nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful snd the maintenance staff is very reliable when needed
Been here for about a month and its been good so far. Its really quiet and people in the community have spoken and welcomed me. Very happy!
Our overall experience moving in to Summerville Station has been really good. We appreciate the staff and the pleasant atmosphere they create. Our two bedroom apartment was upgraded with new stainless steel appliances and nice carpeting. I like the close proximity to stores and other services.
Me gusta por lo seguro que es vivir aquí con mi familia es un lugar muy tranquilo
While we are very new to Summerville Station, so far we have enjoyed our move in experience. We look forward to a happy, though short term, time here at Summerville Station.
I've lived in Summerville Station for 3 years now.It is very quiet and complex is convenient to local restaurants and grocery stores, other establishments.
First off the office girls are amazing! They are always willing to help out and share a laugh. The maintenance team goes above and beyond the call of duty. This is the best place I have ever lived!
Staff is extremely helpful, always emails back quickly, maintenance is completed quickly. A very clean and relaxed community.
Our family really enjoys this community. Every effort is made to keep it, safe, clean and pretty. We feel safe and comfortable any time of day anywhere on the grounds. The old trees are beautiful and shady, it feels like were sitting in a park. The pool is so well maintained and is such a nice place to have fun with your family and get to know your neighbors.
Very quiet complex
We like most people choose Summerville station due to its short lease and inexpensive cost. However, the value of the place is just under what the cost provides. Don't expect much more than you would from a college dorm. It's a turn and burn type place.
I don't have any negative comments about SS other than the internet connection.
Clean grounds and convenient office hours.
