Dallas is one of the largest cities in America, combining urban sophistication with an incomparable Texan personality. Dallas is an altogether unique blend of cultures, styles, and flavors, with more than one million people calling the city proper home.
Living in Dallas puts you right in the thick of it all, with endless options to customize your experience. Corporate professionals seeking to avoid long commutes may want to look for apartments in Downtown or Uptown, which are both home to major business centers as well as residential communities, affording many residents walkable access to work. Culture enthusiasts should consider apartments near the Dallas Arts District, which is home to the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Winspear Opera House, and more. Creatives may enjoy places like Old East Dallas and North Oak Cliff, where artistic pursuits abound.
Dallas offers some of the most diverse nightlife in Texas, from laid-back lounges to thumping night clubs.

Property Ratings at Summerwood Cove
Someone was shot in the parking lot and died. My friends car was randomly shot at when leaving the parking lot. The place is extremely roach infested, even though you pay for pest control. There's trash everywhere and the neighbors throw their trash beside the trash bins, not inside. It piles up so quickly and the smell reaches the apartments in the summer. Theres dog poo everywhere. You'll see your neighbors bring out their dogs without leashes just to let them poo, dont pick up after them, and then let them back in. Office staff are nice people though.
Property Manager at Summerwood Cove, Responded To This Review
Thanks for your feedback. While we don't have a way to directly contact you, please reach out. We want to schedule a pest control treatment for your home immediately. As for pet waste, it's not acceptable. Our team will continue to enforce the rules and encourage residents to take advantage of our pet waste bag stations around the property. Most importantly, the well-being of residents is most important. In the event of any disturbances, we fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
they will find every opportunity to charge you for everything. They might look nice and all but they will show their true face once the lease is done signing. They are rent seekers. Unsafe, people gather to smoke and exchange ganja. if you're a girl, then don't think about going anywhere near there after 6 PM. Bill will go up exponentially. Roach infestation. STOP just stop. I warn you. I saw the reviews here and ignored them. I guess I learned my lessons. A big mistake.
Weak management, crevice. Extra charge for everything. Don’t waste your time and money.
the bills here are RIDICULOUS you will easily pay at least $150 for water a month the same for electric ... no light switches in bedrooms ..its ok for a bit but def not to make a home ..id say keep looking
First, let me start with we have been in the community over 7 years. So, this is a general consensus over that time. Management only gets rude if a customer does. Never had a direct problem with them because we always pay our bills on time. The place is generally kept clean and well maintained, however the water and sewer bills are insane every month. They are always equal to or much higher than the electric bill. I have yet to see a combination bill between the two of less than $110. Sometimes water and sewer run over $130 for the month. Electricity averages between 80-110 a month which is not bad considering the old windows.
Do not rent in this apartment complex, management is the rudest people on this earth. I have had an A/C leak that was leaking it took them a month to came fix it and the water was coming out yellow and stain the bathtub they refuse to fix it and 3 weeks later the leak started again and the bathtub is now rusty due to the water caming out of the leak.I send the management an email with pictures of the bathtub I was told they can't fix it now until my lease is up, and that they are renovating apartments, they can't waist money fixing it now until my lease is up and I have 3 months left for my lease to be up. I have taken pictures of it and file a complaint. They will charge you $20 for a gate card when the gate is always broken.
Lived here for a year and hate it. service is terrible, parking is terrible, and the towing is worse. If you need something fixed it won't get fixed, the amenities are bare minimal, and the location is in the heart of the hood. Don't bother calling them cause they won't pick up, and if they do then it's a Godsend.
Do not move her and pay this much money to live in a place where maintenance is horrible. The front office people are rude and all they care about is your money. You WILL NOT get your deposit back no matter what you do. It is always loud with tons of gangsters smoking weed outside selling to underage kids. You will be woken by the sounds of gunshots and helicopters and to top it all off. No matter how clean you are there is a huge amount or roaches that they never come to exterminate. PATHETIC. Do not move here if you have kids.
The office staff is unhelpful. Our apartment has roaches galore. The walls are tissue thin. Did not appear to have neen cleaned before move in. Moved in recently but already eager to leave.
These apartments are terrible. I am counting down the days till i can leave. The other tenents in this complex are the rudest, most inconsiderate i have ever seen. The parking lots are all covered in garbage. Everyone plays music all day, every day. I can't tell you how many times I am woken up at 3 in the morning from someone's bass. The actual apartment itself is fine. They updated the flooring, all new blinds and fixtures. But the neighbors are so disgusting with their garbage and way of acting. Can't wait to leave.
Overall the facility is ok, the access rods are in poor condition, the clerks are below the average,
the women who work in the office are all extremely rude and have attitudes. one woman asked our leasing agent if we "really had social security cards" prior to moving in because I look ethnic, or Hispanic.. the manager, for some odd reason is always "in a meeting" no matter the day or time if they ever even answer the phone. and the apartment is meant to last about a year because it is slowly falling apart when we've told them we needed maintenance since we FIRST moved in due to damages done by previous tenants. the neighborhood is quiet and the apartments are cute but not worth it.
When asking for a railing, I was told it was not in the budget. I asked for handicap parking and was told that there was plenty of parking therefore one was not needed. I will be moving.
