I have been very pleased with my loft apartment. It is very cozy and I feel at home! Brody, the manager is very attentive and accommodating to my needs/requests. He is extremely helpful and approachable and an excellent on-site manager! Maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner. I have no complaints. I am extremely happy with the apartment and can't think of a better place to live!

My wife and I have been here for fours year now. We recently moved into a one-bedroom loft. It is the coolest Apt. I have ever lived in! First floor is the kitchen, dining room and living area. Breakfast Bar. One closet. Nice balcony with lots of light for our plants. Our Dog loves to look out the sliding glass/ screen door. Nice carpeting, nice wood trim on the stairs. A very open and bright design. Second floor bedroom, bath and large walk in closet. Sliding glass/ screen door lets in plenty of light. This opens to a quite large very nice deck overlooking Elver Park. Hiking trails, basketball court, ice skating, cross-country Ski trails, and a sled hill right next door. The new mgmt. Team is very nice and professional. They go out of their way to accommodate you. They are the best that we have had here. Maintenance man is very polite, respectful of your privacy and experienced. We will not be moving for a long time!

Thank you for your wonderful comments about our complex! We do our best to make this a great place to live.
Friendly staff, pet friendly, lots of light in the apt, and close to the mall. ??
I have been living at Summit Hill for going on three years or so now, and the respect and care the landlords have exhibited is phenomenal. They truly strive constantly to make your experience here a positive one, and respond to any concerns promptly and effectively. Living right next door to beautiful trails in the woods, being so close to Woodman's, and being able to completely avoid the belt-line on workdays if you work in the general area like I do are some of the top reasons I want to stay here. The loft one bedroom I rent feels very spacious and is absolutely filled to the brim with sunlight with very large sliding door windows to two porches at each level facing north and south. They have invested in the property heavily in the past few years, and have lots more amenities coming. Plus they have such a great approach to dogs, and as a dog lover, nothing could be more important to me as a renter. :)

I am a new tenant to Summit Hills but if their on site customer service is as awesome of the leasing office this property will be the best company i have ever rented from. I have been commuting from Milwaukee to Madison on a daily basis for school and work, and from the very start of my interaction with the property manager thru the entire application process they have been just wonderful. I was able to choose which apartment I liked best and any questions that i had were answered immediately I would definitely recommend living here to anyone looking for a place on the west side of Madison. Thank you Marie for making my transition from miles away run absolutely flawless ??

With a commuting schedule like yours it should be relaxing just to know that you can finally settle into a place that eliminates the travel grind and lets you spend that important time on your school and work life instead. And we’re really excited that Summit Hill was your choice to settle into. Your comments about the helpfulness of our staff were very much appreciated and we’re looking forward to helping you quickly get established in your new apartment. So, thanks again for your kind comments and Welcome Home! Marie Maize, Property Manager
I liked living in my loft. It was spacious and nice, and I never had major repair needs. The frustrating thing about living here was that the office staff failed again and again to follow-up on my requests, whether it be for a repair, a laundry refund, information about subletting, or, after I moved out, my security deposit. For example, in April of 2015, I stopped by the office to let them know that the laundry machine had eaten a five dollar bill. The woman, who is very friendly in person, was very apologetic and said it would be no problem for her to slip a refund under my door. I never received it. Later that year, we switched to a new laundry system and had to trade in our cards. I verified with the office that I had $11.25 on my old laundry card and asked if that would be added to my new one. The woman looked confused, as if she hadn't thought of this, and then said, "We'll send a letter." I never received a letter. My emails and calls about it were never returned. The amount of money isn't high--it's just frustrating to feel that my requests went ignored. Similarly, in April, I put in a request for a new smoke detector battery, because mine had died. I wasn't sure if this was even something Glacier Hills was in charge of, but someone said they'd come repair it the next day. They never came. I eventually replaced it myself. Now, it's been 2.5 months since I moved out, and I still haven't received my security deposit. This is the thing that most annoys me, because it's a big sum of money. I called, and the front desk said they'd send it. They didn't.
I'll start out by saying, I love it here! I recommend these apartments all of the time to friends. They have a laundry room on every floor so you don't have to walk too far carrying your clothes. During the summer I rarely have to turn on my air because the wind circulates perfectly in my apartment that it feels comfortable. I live on the forth floor and I have a roof deck! It overlooks elver park and you are front row seats for the fireworks in July! Maintence is very prompt, friendly and gets the job done! Management is very nice and doesn't hound you like I've had at past apartments. I love it here and I don't plan on going anywhere else while I'm still in Wisconsin.
After moving 6 times in 5 years, I'm happy to have found the Glacier Hill Apartments. I resigned my lease which is saying something. My overall experience has been great. I no longer have to worry about waiting forever for maintenance which is a HUGE bonus. They're extremely quick and reliable. Of all the places I've lived I've had to call maintenance at the Glacier Hill Apartments the LEAST, because when they show up to do the job they do it right. It also helps that these apartments aren't cheaply made. I'm impressed with the architecture too because you barely ever hear a peep from your neighbors. It's laid out to ensure more privacy than most places. Management is friendly, cooperative, and prompt. Just had the parking lot paved so there aren't any obnoxious pot holes to worry about when parking your car. There's a big fence that separates the complexes from the apartment property next door, which is good for privacy. They've got parking garages, a LAUNDRY ROOM ON EVERY FLOOR,and free storage units in the basement. Now getting to the best part, after already giving you enough reasons to check the place out. I haven't been through all of the apartments but I believe most of them are lofts. The price varies depending on the unit. For $840 a month with 2 cats I have 2 decks (bottom floor and top floor), and the top deck is actually a roof deck overlooking Elver Park. My unit is on the 4th floor (top floor). I can't even fully describe how refreshing it is to relax on the roof deck. So many trees, it's quiet, you can see the stars really well at night because of the lower levels of light pollution. You get a rural feeling in an urban area being up there. Every year for the 4th of July Elver Park has a fireworks show, which gives me front row seats! Security monitors the parking lot on that day. The apartments are in walking distance to Woodman's, Walmart, and various other stores. The bus line is reliable over here too. I work at the University Hospital and when I use the bus I only have to ride one bus most of the time. Sometimes two, but you switch at the West Transfer Point. To sum things up, the Glacier Hill Apartments are worth considering for your next move. Doesn't hurt to check the place out. I can give you a long list of places that don't compare for the price. That's a promise.
The apartments I am living in are beautiful! The landlord is great with staying in contact and we have no complaints about our apartment. The area around is great as well! We're right by the park and not too far from the grocery store and the mall. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and coworkers. Such a great place to live.
