Property Ratings at Summit Lake Apartments and Townhomes
loved the apartment and location. unfortunately, neighbors both upstairs and downstairs were young and partied all the time, kept me up at all night. called the cops many times. management did NOTHING. unfortunately, i had to move due to the party environment. alot of parties in the complex communities.
It is like Melrose place on steroids. You are constantly being watched by management as well as tenants. It is like living in a cult. Renter beware.
This is like living at a resort. The common areas are well kept, as is the beautiful groomed grounds and outdoor pool . There are picnic tables strategically placed around the lake so tenants may enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin weather. The entire staff, office, maintenance & housekeeping, make tenants feel like family. It is a quiet and peaceful place to live. Patricia E, Hartland, WI.
This place has the potential to be great. It's a beautiful area and the set-up of the property is great. The problem is that management puts no money or time into the property so the apartments have damage that they won't repair and the grounds need upkeep that they don't want to do. The rent is very fair for the area but increases keep happening but none of that money seems to go back into our property. Nice Amenities Close to Schools Close to Grocery Stores Close to Parks
Summit Lake apartments in Hartland, WI are excellent. The living room is huge and there is plenty of storage space in all of the rooms. Plus there is a walk-in closet off the master bedroom. The grounds are well maintained. There is an outdoor pool with a deck that overlooks a fishing pond. Maintenace is available 24/7 and they live on site. Staff is friendly and efficient. Summit Lake Apartments are a touch of heaven.
Average rent for the area but they do not keep up on maintance, Very slow on fixing things and don't ever do it right the first time. The Managers and other working are very noisy and tell your buesness to everyone.
This is a great place to live. There is a top-notch maintenance staff. Calls placed to the office for any problems are taken care of within 24 hrs and emergency repairs are done within a half hr. There is a great pool and a nice sized pond with fishing. The apartments are very good for sound proofing. You have a shared two car garage and your own laundry. There is coin laundry if you dont have your own machine. This is by far the best place I have ever lived in.
We just moved away after relocating cross country. We lived there for one year and loved it. We had a townhouse which was VERY reasonably priced for the space! We had a garage, laundry room, 2b/1.5b and a small patio. Utilities got high, but still manageable. They do have a lot of rules and the newer ones aren't the most convenient, but I have yet to find an apartment that didn't have rules. Buying rather than renting is really the only way to avoid that. Most apartments don't even allow charcoal for insurance purposes, so although it's inconvenient, it's part of renting. The office staff was great, we had no issues with maintenance. They took care of things quickly (included immediately fixing our water heater that blew on Christmas Eve within a couple hours). Some of the maintenance things you'd be charged would be if it was misuse of things - if you break the garbage disposal by putting a corncob in it, if you tried to flush golf balls or silly things like that. We never got charged once for anything. Due to city codes, they sent a notice that garages had to be able to fit a car. It seems logical (just get a storage unit otherwise). My favorite part was the community. All the neighbors were VERY friendly and courteous. I never once heard my neighbors through the walls. I always felt VERY safe, and it's very well lit. Lots of parking available very close to your door. Snow maintenance was usually fantastic and quick. We definitely felt that it was a place we could call home. Every apartment complex will have sticky rules and their own list of pros and cons, but after living in multiple apartment complexes (and seeing much worse than this), we gave it two thumbs up.
I have lived here for a few years now. I used to love calling this my home. Until this new manager came in and started making all of these new rules. We now all fear that if we call maintenance, we will be charged a fee. There is a policy of if you broke it you buy it. But who is to say an accidental thing that used to be considered a free fix is now going to cost us money. You can not grill anywhere near your apt or townhome. You must move it 15 feet away. AND you can not leave it. So now because some people have no common sense and must've somehow started a grill fire, we are all being punished. So if you think you can grill on your porch or patio, think again. And then you have to be ready with a chair to sit for an hour and watch it. May as well have added that we need to carry a fire extinguisher too. Apparently there will be a common area coming. Oh great....let's all drag out our heavy grills and line them up. Because that is what I want to be doing. Sitting for an hour shooting the you know what with all the grillers. I like my privacy. You also can not store anything in your garage besides outdoor stuff apparently. Because it is some kind of code violation???????? There is a car with gasoline in it sitting in the garage. How can anything be more hazardous? Who knows what they will come up with next. That I can't have a TV. Maybe they should get rid of dogs. That would be nice. Then I wouldn't have to step in dog poo every time I leave my home. It has just become a place that is no longer welcoming and happy to live in.
