Property Ratings at Summit Ridge Luxury Apartments
Where do I begin? The apartments themselves are pretty nice in that they have hardwood and washer/dryers in all the units. Also, while I’ve observed roach traps in the “community center”, I haven’t seen many pests in my apartment. However, be aware that there is very little ventilation and natural light in the one bedroom units as there are only two windows and one patio door. The balconies/patios are a nice feature but they are almost unusable in the summer because the proximity to the dumpsters causes dozens of flies to collect there and create a very disgusting experience. Maintenance is very responsive but one maintenance man castigates me for things that are not lease violations and reminds me how fortunate I should feel to have expensive repairs made to my apartment. The last time I had a repair, no less than three times I was reminded how expensive that repair was. Another maintenance person told me in very graphic terms that he wanted an inappropriate relationship with me. Given that I have had experiences where these folks have keyed into my apartment without notice, I often feel uncomfortable. The front office staff when I moved in initially was wonderful but they all quit basically at the same time. Now I wonder if the people working there are ok. They said grammatically incorrect, angry and confusing emails. One week we were advised to not leave doors open because of the racoons living in the dumpsters. The next week there was an angry, all CAPS email about how residents were throwing chicken bones into the courtyard. One wonders why they couldn’t take the logical step that this was the racoons plundering the garbage and leaving bones behind. I’ve also received a number of emails with angry, accusatory and frankly crazy content directed at me personally. Do you want to receive a package? You’ll get it maybe 85% of the time. We’re all required to pay for shipment lockers but your packages won’t go there most of the time. Maybe they’ll just hang out in the mailroom, maybe they’ll be left outside a building (not necessarily yours) but you might not see it so holiday buying can be a bit of an expensive nightmare. Expect to pay for the fitness center, even if you don’t use it. Except to pay for the single parking spot you get even though the torn up parking lot is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Expect your exorbitant rent to go up at least $100 a year. I really don’t recommend living here if you have any other option.

This review is in regards to the maintenance crew at Summit Ridge Allentown. They are top notch! Knowledgable in all areas and i have had an immediate response anytime i have called, which i have to say is not often. My AC needed attention, problem solved within a few hours and I have not had a problem since. Not only are my needs addressed promptly, but they followed up within 24 hours to make sure everything was running smoothly....much appreciated and thank you!!!
This apartment complex is far from "luxury." Do you enjoy listening to your neighbors' every move? Paper-thin walls will allow that. Above, below, the neighbors next to you, you will hear it all. Ready to pay extra for parking every month, only get one assigned parking spot, even if you have more than one bedroom? To add to that, the parking lines haven't been repainted in years so you can't see where your actual spot is. And don't plan on parking on property on the weekends. The guest parking is full by 7 PM. You'll be carrying those groceries a long way. Apartment quality is less than average for what you're paying. Want to get a good nights' sleep? Better bring some earplugs if you move in. The rail yard that is across the street will keep you up all night with screeching and slamming that shakes the entire building. Expect rent to increase when you renew the lease and don't expect to be able to go month-to-month, they want another 12 months, regardless of your situation. Be ready to pay an extra fee per year to have your packages delivered, and to pay another fee if you're not able to pick them up if you're not around within a certain time span. Overall, would not recommend this complex to anyone.
Very NOISY. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything your neighbor is doing, you will not have the best neighbors wh can be understanding. The noise from the trains outside is awful. Ear piercing screeching. Can't even use the porch. Apartments are alright but not even close to luxury. Parking is horrible. The fitness room is in very bad condition and none of the equipment work. They will not honor the lease and stories usually conflict when you talk to one person vs another!
We lived at summit for a year. We loved living there. We never had an any issue never had to call maintenance! It was super clean, not only the apartment but the outside also. Diane, she works in the office was super sweet! We would definitely recommend Summit Ridge Apartments.
Summit Ridge is a beautiful complex that is off the beaten path in a very private part of town. With its majestic mountainside and awesome trainyard (that at first had me concerned regarding noise) turned out to be a complete non-issue. Once you live there a while you barely even notice the noise at all. Honestly, if anything, it’s an amazing site to see!! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well kept. The apartments are layed-out well and finishes are of the higher end. The place is also pet-friendly so if you have a pet that loves to socialize you will love Summit!! The best part is that “animal” people are “friendly” people so you will feel very, very welcome. As far as noise from neighbors, unfortunately this is part of apartment living and goes with the territory. It is a hit or miss who you have above, below or next to you. However, if you are having an issue, the office staff is more than willing to do whatever they can to rectify the situation. Their quick responses to any matter is excellent. I give Summit 5 stars and would highly recommend this complex if you are looking for an apartment.
The apartment complex is beautiful, they keep it very clean. The apartments are also beautiful, but the. noise is what makes living here very unpleasant. Living on the first floor where you can literally hear the couple upstairs having sex, more details than one would want to hear. And when they walk it's literally as if you're living under a gorilla because of the stomps back and forth throughout the apartment. Then on the other side you can literally hear next door neighbors having full on conversation clearly, when they're slamming the cabinets, and microwave door. The on the other end my living room shares the same wall as my neighbors bedroom, so you can hear him snoring. So as you can imagine with all of this going on it makes it very difficult to sleep at night. And yes we are near a train yard so you will hear the trains screeching, and clanking from time to time, but to be honest I'd rather hear that then to hear anything through these thin walls. So If you're able to deal with all of the above then you'll be fine because the apartment itself is beautiful. On a positive note the ladies in the leasing office are very nice and professional. The apartment has tons of space, including closet and storage space. The cabinetry, the granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. The hardwood floors are very nice also.I am not sure what the experience is like living on a higher floor but if at all possible try to choose a higher floor unit perhaps that will eliminate a lot of the noise.
I love the apts and the staff every things are amazing but I hope they solve the hot water because it gone very fast and the electric is very expensive the gas is cheapest I hope they use gas.

Hello resident, We are happy to hear you love your home at Summit Ridge! If you are still a current resident, please contact the leasing office so we can assist with your maintenance needs.
Me and my husband have been looking to move just before we got married. While browsing I came across this apartment and instantly fell in love. I started reading reviews and became a little skeptical about it but me and my husband decided to take a look anyway. I am so glad that I didn't let the reviews alter my decision without looking at it! We absolutely love our apartment! The staff were friendly and welcoming our neighbors are all nice and considerate of one another and the apartment itself is gorgeous. Now the trains can be noisy. But because I'm from Ny the trains don't bother me at all. I do have a few issues but nothing is a deal breaker like the fact that the walls are paper thin the neighbors above me are a tad bit noisy. And if your in the shower for more than 7 minutes the water does turn cold. I am also really upset that you can only have 1 dog because my puppy is so used to being around other animals me and my husband always talked about getting another one once we moved. I did see a few people with 2 dogs so I am a bit confused. But overall Summit Ridge is the perfect place to live.

Thank you for making Summit Ridge home! We are glad you are happy with the community. Some of the minor issues you are experiencing are things we can address, so we encourage you to give the leasing office a call. Thanks again for a 4 star review!
I like Summit Ridge the only downfall with it is mainly is the parking is horrible. You get one space even if you have a two bedroom place and spaces are numbered so you can't take someones spot or towed you will be. If you don't mind train noises then that is a downfall as well, but for me, the train noise is soothing mostly and you get use to it. However nice the place seems on the outside, the inner appearance in the apartments is of cheaper used materials. The doors are not leveled properly so you may need stoppers to hold them open if you want them to stay open. I don't get why updates can't happen just because the apartment is tenant occupied. I feel if updates are made it should affect all properties not just when someone leaves. Also, unfortunately if someone smokes and you don't in your place the vents will make it so you both are smoking at the same time. Yes the smoke comes thru the vents or whatever the neighbor chooses to smoke. Outside of these few things the area is nice. The walking around the property is a great asset as well. The management team are very nice. After all they manage didn't do the building process so not their fault about the things inside. I feel for the price they could do some updating on the vent system and even fix the uneven doors, but overall it isn't that bad at all.

We are happy to hear that you are overall pleased with your experience at Summit Ridge! Comments on improvements help us to identify any pertinent issues that need to be addressed. Community living does cause common issues to arise, like finding close parking to the building or noise/smoke traveling from one apartment to the next. We are glad to provide one complimentary reserved spot right in front of the building you reside in, with any secondary parking available in a traditional first come, first serve basis. If there are any maintenance issues that need to be addressed in your apartment, please do not hesitate to contact the management office. Thanks again for your review!
Summit Ridge apartments is a great place to live. It is convenient to major highways, great restaurants and shopping. The grounds. are always well maintained and the staff is very helpful. If you looking for excitment the Sands Casino is ten minutes away. Summit Ridge apartments is a great place to call home.

Thank you for such a great review! We appreciate your feedback and glad you are happy with your residency at Summit Ridge.
The apartment is beautiful, the people are kind and helpful, and the maintenance people arrive within thirty minutes, but the walls must be so thin. The washer is terribly loud so I try not to run it morning or in the evening, and you'll hear every time the person above you does wash as if it were happening in your apartment. The trains are incredibly loud and we're in one of the furthest buildings from them. On a good note though, there's not a lot of dogs barking constantly, so at least you don't have that noise.
Good view ( Lehigh valley mountain view),lots of birds and great view after sunrise ,perfect Gym for me to workout, open 24 hrs, hardwood floor, All major cities within 3 to 4 miles, courteous staff
I never knew I could be in love with my first apartment. It has everything, and I mean everything, I could ever want. It's not just a place I sleep or eat at, it's a place that I can call home and share memories with my boyfriend and family in.

We are happy to hear that you love Summit Ridge! Thank you for your residency and we hope to have you here for years to come.
I have been a tenant at Sunmit Ridge for a little over a year. The price is excellent for the amenities. The property grounds are always clean and the management staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
Let me tell you...finding the right apartment is time consuming and stressful! I haven't rented an apartment in almost 20 years, and back then rent was about $595., which I thought was much, Lol! Honestly, it took us a couple of months searching; visiting local apartment communities, talking to staff members/management, along with numerous apartment walk-throughs, until we came across an ad for the community, in which, we now reside. Our apartment community was having a "Special" we could not ignore. The description and photos in the ad were quite appealing, and sparked our curiosity. My husband and I went to the office, spoke with a lovely woman, and we had our "Thousandth" walk-through, but this time the apartment community was very relaxed and the apartment spacious, modernized and cozy. There is a 24 hr access gym, with clean and up-to-date equipment: And a comfy community room, if you want to relax with a "complimentary" cup of coffee. Unsurprisingly, we moved into our two bedroom "luxury" apartment, with our two pups, a couple weeks later and we are "Tickled" to say we've been residents for over 7 months. The management and staff make living here "worry-free". Snow removal, lawn care, cleanliness, and maintenance are all taken care of regularly, and once a month, management likes to bring the community together for activities. This apartment community is definitely without doubt, a place to call "HOME".

We are thrilled that you consider Summit Ridge HOME! Our staff collaborates together to make it the "worry free" living you described. I'm glad you are enjoying your apartment as well as the complimentary amenities we provide. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience!
My boyfriend and I have been living at Summit Ridge for about 3 months now and we could not be happier! Everything is so close to home in means of shopping, restaurants, and events. The owner of our complex makes sure you are always taken care of. They allow pets which is very nice as well considering we have a dog. They have nice grassy areas for your pets to run. Whenever my boyfriend and I have guests over they always compliment how our apartment looks; very nice hardwood floors, granite countertops, tile floor in the bathroom, and an awesome deck for friends to enjoy the view! We love Summit Ridge and plan on renewing our lease next year!

We are so glad to hear you are enjoying your new home at Summit Ridge! We have great resident referral incentives should any of your friends decide to move to Summit Ridge as well. Thanks for a stellar review!
I looked at 20 apartment complexes in the Allentown area and Summit Ridge was by far the best. The price is competitive with other less desirable properties and it has 2 bed/2 bath options that other don't have. No ubiquitous white walls, white carpet and Formica counter tops here. They have cream paint on the walls (you'd be surprised what a difference it makes), hardwood floors and granite counter tops, plus nice tiled baths and decent appliances. If you have a maintenance issue it is dealt with promptly and the staff in the management office are receptive and friendly. They do a great job removing snow and keeping the walkway's cleared the they have cleaning crews come regularly to clean all the common areas. They also provide FREE storage in every building which is not the case with may properties. I just renewed my lease for a second year. The buildings on the south side have great views of The Lehigh Valley preserve and we are 5 minutes from the D&L Trail for walking/jogging or biking. It's a safe neighborhood with good access to Allentown, Bethlehem and Route 22. It’s a little off the beaten track so you can’t just walk to a store to pick up groceries. One downside is that the Norfolk-Southern train depot is on River Road and you can hear the trains going back and forth. It bothered me when I first moved in but I’ve gotten used to it. Everyone in our building is pretty reasonable and considerate but as with any rental apartment community you have to deal with neighbors, and their pets. I'm very fortunate that I have nice neighbors.
I enjoy living here. The office has events for the residents periodically to let everyone meet each other and socialize. They allow dogs and mostly everyone is respectful in picking up after their dogs and keeping them quiet. The location next to the train is nice to have a somewhat private location and the noise does not bother many people.

We are always glad to hear from satisfied residents. Thanks for such a great review!
The apartments are very nice and spacious. The kitchens has a lot of cabinet space. Everything is hard wood floors. The train noises only take a few days to get used to. The only complaint I have is that the parking is not ideal for more than one car per apartment.

Thank you for such a great review! We are glad you are happy at Summit Ridge. We are happy to offer residents one reserved spot in close proximity to your building with un assigned secondary parking available. It's a great and complimentary convenience offered. Please contact the management office if we can further assist you. Thanks again for your feedback!
I moved into summit ridge apartments in July and i must say im in love. Its perfect for my family. Very spacious and conveniently close to all my favorite retail stores and supermarkets. At first i thought it was too expensive for me but it is really worth every dime. Besides the clean interior of the apartment building the outside is just as nice and clean. The view is wonderful and the neigbors are very friendly. This move was definitely the best decision ive made since moving to PA.

I love the apartment that I live in very quite and clean and beautiful
With a location like this is it hard to go wrong! Located only a short drive from both downtown Bethlehem and downtown Allentown, there is a lot around. There is a train yard right behind the apartments but the noise only takes a short time to get used to. This is a pet friendly community that allows owners to bring their furry friends with them and meet other pet lovers. The community is warm and welcoming as well as the office staff. Apartments have beautiful hard wood floors and are a great size for the price!
Very disrespectful neighbors. U start to think how they can afford to live here without any assistance. Quality of the apartment is so not worth the money. Hopefully it gets better but I'm forced to believe it never will. Can't wait to get out.
The fact that last few buildings are brand new means nothing about the quality of these apartments. The noise level in these units is unbearable. My bedroom wall shares a wall with my neighbors main living area, resulting in no sleep due to their TV on or them carrying a conversation. There's absolutely no insulation within the units. During the winter, pipes were freezing from lack of heat in the utility closets. Management installed a small heater making the tenant pay for the extra electricity for their mistake. Far from luxury. Lesson learned.
NOISY......Walls are paper thin so you hear everything your neighbor is doing. The noise from the trains outside is awful. Ear piercing screeching. Can't even use the porch. Apartments are nice but not even close to luxury. Parking is horrible. I was told that they only do yearly leases when I signed my lease and now they are doing short term leases and the tenants are getting to be, for lack of better terms, shady. On the upside, the maintenance man Fernando is great and the new office people are nicer and easier to deal with then the old staff. The fitness room is very nice.
