Situated less than 20 miles outside of Los Angeles and less than 10 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, the northern neighborhood of Redondo Beach is filled with bustling residential streets, urban parks, local charm, and big-city proximity.
Known for its expansive list of retailers, North Redondo boasts one of the city’s best places to shop till you drop, if you will. South Bay Galleria has all of the major department stores, popular retailers, and restaurants you could hope for, with supermarkets and even more shopping options nearby. While you’re out and about, catch a live show at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, or grab a craft draft with friends at King Harbor Brewing.

Stay away unless QUIET + patient. Manager Jill is friendly for the lease signing, and beyond rude and unprofessional when you move in. Jobs are done without warning which shut off water, block parking and produce noise in the morning. If you need maintenance, expect weeks of wait unless you pester. Recommended only to shut-ins who'll trade a tree outside their window and a hot tub (which the same neighbor uses during peak hours EVERY day) for absentee management.
I remember the first time I toured Sun Harbour, it was beautiful. I loved the greenery and how well maintained it was. My apartment was huge and LOTS of closet space. Plenty of washers and dryers! I loved how quiet and peaceful it was. J I L L was a great manager. She was always attentive when any issues came up. She was always friendly to me and my cats. I got majority of my deposits back!
The yearly rent increases to the maximum amount allowed by the city is 8.6% . Equity Management Co. Raises the rent on this complex yearly to to at least 8%. The fact that tenants have a laundry room where machines are swapped out twice a year and the fact Management ( J I L L ) is more concern with harassing tenants than fixing the repairs in units, fitness room, and laundry roo. is nothing new after living here awhile. Not worth the money or headache
This apartment complex is great for the quiet crowd. As a gated apartment complex, it provides a feeling of security that a single female straight out of college greatly appreciates when moving here from several states over. It's also great for small families. Included: Water, Dishwasher, mailbox, parking space, pool/hot tub access, sauna access (though I believe they're only single to two-person stalls; not many people use them), access to an on-site "gym" (if I remember correctly, it's a treadmill and one set of weights), and access to the BBQ's and patio lounge area. NOT included: washer/dryer (they're on-site, and there are plenty of them, but the laundry rates are comparable to a laundromat's), fridge, internet, TV (note: the two TV options readily available to subscribe to in this location are TWC and Verizon Fios) The rooms are spacious, and the kitchens and bathroom areas look quite nice (with faux granite surface, instead of the typical white or wood surface that makes so many apartment kitchens look super small). This location is roughly 2 miles from the Redondo Marina/beach, and it's conveniently located within walking distance of the Galleria mall, several grocery stores, MacDonald's (which is right across the street), and more. Note: There's an extra deposit required per cat residing with you (no dogs, as far as I know). This is a peaceful apartment complex where neighbors don't often hang out and interact like family but will politely greet each other in passing. In order to keep everyone happy, there are management-enforced rules forbidding residents from playing loud music outside in the common areas (even if live jam sessions), so no parties allowed. If you are seeking a young party place where being loud and obnoxious is the norm and/or is highly encouraged, you might want to look a little closer to the Hermosa Pier. However, if you're looking for a place that's well-maintained, has an extra level of security, has a large common patio area with plenty of lounge furniture, is peaceful at night (and in general throughout the day as well), and is a convenient location, then this may be the place for you.
