Property Ratings at Suncrest Village
I'm a current resident in a 1 bedroom 1 bath. When I first arrived there was damage to the interior and stains all over the kitchen floor. Was promised interior carpet cleaning yet had to clean it myself. The surrounding area is quiet and other residents are really nice but the staff is horrible. Try to get in contact and they will ghost you for a week with no reply. Most recently the property manager (Tracy) towed a vehicle from in front of my apartment for having a flat tire, without giving any warning or taking any action to come in contact with me. Then, as I tried to find out information about the car, I couldn't get a response for 6+ days. Within those 6 days I was charged over $50 per day for holding plus tow and release fee. But don't worry, your property is saved now that my vehicle doesn't have a flat tire. Unbelievable.
Windows and doors are not sealed. Unless you love bugs you’ll find a vast array of spiders, ants, and yes this place has roaches.
So sorry we decided to stay here! Beautiful upgrades however the lack of consideration from neighbors & unresponsive staff sucks all the joy out of it. We seemed to have been shoved into a building with kids in every apartment (we do not have kids). That being said, the building is actually pretty quiet and the people nice with the exception of the ones who live above us. All we hear day & night is running and banging to the point where we can’t even hear the tv over the noise & my cats are hiding under furniture as a result. This goes on past 10 pm each night. For the 300+ increase in rent we should be able to come home from work & enjoy our new apartment instead of being tense & on edge because of inconsiderate tenants. When the staff was notified of the situation they seemed to just brush us off stating they’ll give a courtesy call. Apparently they didn’t follow through because it’s still going on!! FYI - you can’t call directly to the office. When you call you get an answering service that either never provides a message to the staff or they do & the staff just ignores the calls. This place is not worth the extra rent. The landscaping is disastrous also. Good luck walking around the neighborhood. You can’t even walk down the sidewalk without having to duck under low-hanging tree branches.
Just moved in and love it so far! Joann and staff have been amazing! The apt is spacious, clean, pet friendly, with walk in closet, a washer/dryer in the unit, nice private patio and ample parking! I’d highly recommend these apartments to anyone!
I am so happy to be home :) Joanne was amazing with helping my children and I get in to our apartment very fast- and very professionally. My children and I love our place and feel very safe. I would highly recommend suncrest!!
I have lived in a 1 bedroom downstairs apartment at Briar Hill for 2.5 years. I have enjoyed my experience here a lot. My apartment is a good size and it has many closets. Parking is ample although I wish they would have assigned parking spaces for the tenants. I do not hear my neighbors so the unit is well insulated and quite quiet. I have recommended several of my friends to live here at Briar Hill.
I have lived here for a few months now. I will recommend Briar Hill to anyone looking for a nice place at a nice price. I have read the other reviews and feel that the ones that are not happy may just be expecting more than they should. I live on the second floor, so I cannot comment about the noise. However, I will say that dealing with the Office Staff, the Owner, etc... has always been pleasant. The site is well maintained and the people who run the onsite maintenance are very nice and efficient. They respond quickly and courteously. The apartment itself is setup well, I have a dishwasher and a stacked washer & dryer, it is very convenient for apartment living. Definitely check this place out, it is a good location too. Thank you, I hope this review helps those interested. Content Tenant from BLDG 7...
My fiancee and I lived in a 1-bedroom apartment at Briar Hill for over 3 years. We recently had to move-out due to a job relocation out of state. Our experience at Briar Hill was a positive one. We looked at many apartments in the area (Toms River, Jackson, Lakewood) prior to our move-in and we chose Briar Hill mainly because of the large apartment size at a really reasonable price (the in-unit large size washer and dryer was a big plus). Also, we liked the "mom and pop store" aspect of the place - the property was actually managed by the owner instead of a typically cold and impersonal property management company. The receptionist, Laura, was always very polite and friendly whenever I called in a work order. Maintenance was very prompt and efficient in fixing any repairs. The grounds are well kept and clean - the seasonal flowers at the main entrances are beautiful and always well maintained. We enjoyed our 3 years living by the jersey shore and we will miss our cozy apartment at Briar Hill. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an apartment in the ocean/monmouth county area.
