Property Ratings at Sundowner
I lived there for the past 3 years, 1 bed/1 bath was more than suitable for my needs both as a student and single working professional. Central location (mall/restaurants/loop access/etc). Away from the busy-ness of Texas Tech, but not too far. Quiet community, very few (if any) rowdy student residents. Friendly neighbors. Huge park nearby. Go check it out!
I have loved living at Sundowner. It was the perfect place for me as a graduate student. The apartment is semi-isolated in the neighborhood so it's quiet, but it is also only a couple of minutes away from the mall. As a dog owner, I loved that the park was on the same street as my apartment. It made it nice to take a quick 15 minute walk around Geo Dupree park each day. If I had any issues with my apartment, the maintenance workers were quick to help find the root of the problem and get me taken care of. It's been my home for over 9 years, the only reason I am leaving is because I am getting married and will have to move away for work. As with any apartment complex, people will have mixed feelings. But, I've seen apartment employees come and go over the years and I've been able to establish good relationships and friendships with all of them. The individuals with poor reviews tend to be poor tenants based on my observations.
Quiet place for starters. It's also a great location by the South Plains Mall and the view from the complex to the nearby park is great! My wife and I lived here from 2012-2014 and even upgraded apartments during our stay from a 1 bed loft to a 2 bed flat!
I have lived here for about 4.5 years and I will dearly miss the location and Loft style apartments!
I lived here less than a year, but was able to enjoy being near the park for morning runs. This property is so close to everything that it's easy to get anywhere in town. The staff is so friendly and my maintenance requests were handled quickly and professionally.
I have been a resident for a year , with that said I am very impressed with the sundowners. All staff is nice and helpful, they maintain the property and continue to make my stay welcoming.
I have been a resident for four and a half years and I've been pleased by my time here. I couldn't find another apartment like the one I'm in for the price anywhere else in Lubbock, and being centrally located in a neighborhood next to Slide and the loop has been awesome. Close to restaurants, the mall, and with a park just across the street, I feel the location is perfect. The onsite management and maintenance staff are pleasant and helpful, and it's clear they are making strides towards continuing to improve the complex. Overall good experiences - I've recommended it to many of my friends and will continue to do so.
Right next to a nice park and very quiet/peaceful.
Moved to Lubbock for a rotation and lived in the Sundowner. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating as I was moving across country. Loved my time here. Thanks for the memories
By far my best experience living in an apartment. I have lived in several different places in the last decade, at least seven different apartments and Sundowner is easily my favorite for many reasons. The location is ideal, quiet and easy to get to and from. You have a large park in the backyard, two pools, laundry on site and the maintenance team is considerate and kind. Top shelf managers, Sam and Ashlee, were friendly from the day I walked in and did everything they could to make sure everything was in order. Thanks for two years of easy living, Sundowner.
As a new renter I loved that Sundowner was willing to work with me and give me a chance. They maintain the apartments very well and are always fixing any problems in a timely manner. I have been loving my stay here!
