There have been some wonderful improvements on the property. Communication, in the form of letters/notices/emails has gotten better. The remodeling of the buildings exterior looks great, along with steel fencing all along the property. I can't wait until they get the gates up and running.

The community is going through remodels and it’s a work in progress. The exterior hallways leading to the apartments is still very rough looking but I am hoping it will be cleaned up eventually. A lot of the air conditioning/ heating units need the screens replaced and the wood floors are very dirty. It’s very quiet though and I love that.

Sunrise apartments has been nothing but a great experience so far. Pretty clean place, staff is nice, and overall I haven’t had any issues. I’ve been here since February 2024. I’ll probably stay a while, not many places that have as high reviews. And most places aren’t as transparent about the downsides of living in their places. But overall I think it’s a pretty good place to live

My experience with Sunrise has been pleasant. The one-bedroom is spacious and the walk in closet is fabulous. As far as community amenities go, the pool and the front lawn is lovely and the pool is clean and large. The only downsides to the apartments are the location. While the apartment is tucked away at the top of a hill, the surrounding community area can be a bit questionable.

Sunrise just keeps getting better and better! As I approach the beginning of my third year at Sunrise, I am impressed with the improvements that appear almost daily. We have a brand new and beautiful iron fence that surrounds the lush front lawn, and it is complemented by gorgeous new lamp posts that add to my feeling of security. In addition, I recently had a combo washer/dryer installed in my apartment as well as a brand new balcony that my English bulldog Donny and I both love. Sunrise management is top of the line and stable. The wonderful and caring manager Emily has been a constant and reliable presence since I moved in, and I hope she stays for many years to come. My entire experience at Sunrise has been superlative, and I feel lucky to live here.

So far things are great. The apartment is very modern, and up to date. The noise level is not bad at all. The laundry matt here is very affordable, the pool is always clean and beautiful. I don't have anything that we're unhappy about!
I moved in one week ago, and so far, everything is great! Colin took me on tours of each floor plan and answered all of my questions. Emily is quick to communicate and made move in process simple. Ernest is the real MVP. Unfortunately, I had to request after hours maintenance, but he quickly came to the rescue and fixed the heat. He was very kind, and I think the community is lucky to have him.

The biggest problems came from the fact that multiple things were broken when I moved in and were never fixed during my tendency. They varied from doors (bedroom and bathroom) that physically would not close to kitchen cabinets with the bottom falling out. When I moved out my full deposit was kept, some of the reasoning included a $70 fee for disposing of items despite the fact that I am 100% sure my apartment was completely empty. I called and left a message to inquire about this and got no response. The apartment complex is fine enough when it is cheaper than everything else around it. However, when Sunrise increases rent by 16.6% and broaches the price of places in nicer parts of the city, it's just not really worth it. Find better places - they exist.

Overall the apartment is not bad. It is an older place with flaws but the management is terrible. When I moved out I was charged with carpet damage from a pet when I never even owned a pet. When I explained to the management I never owned a pet they didn't listen and told me I took over the lease from someone else. This wasn't in the lease agreement so management spun a web on nonsense to pin the damages on me. I really hope the management changes or at least goes through training on how to handle these situations.
*says smoke free on description - NOT accurate! Our neighbor smokes and it is permanently in our apartment also* That being said: Pros: small community, usually pretty quiet, huge walk in closet, big enough bedroom for a king sized bed and two dressers, nightstands and a shelf. Oh - and double sink bathroom. Office staff is super nice, our maintenance issues have always been resolved quickly - but we go to the office straightaway, not through online. Small community garden that one of the residents tends and shares with everyone. Nice, clean, big pool. Cons: TINY kitchen. I mean, super small. The “nook” is not big enough to be eating in and there’s not much space in the living area for a table/chairs. OLD; not updated in a veryyyyy long time. Like another said - fresh paint on old stuff. The balcony patio has double patio doors - so no regular windows on the units at all. A/C units have constant problems. And yes, we have seen some bugs but they stay away because we keep the apartment clean. We’ve lived here a couple years. It’s convenient to the highway, shopping, really good ethnic food, and it’s a quiet and friendly community. Overall, not an awful place but you’re getting what you pay for (in Nashville).

ROACHES. When I first moved in the apartments were ROACH INFESTED. I gave them two months notice of me moving in. My move in date was already delayed because they didn't caulk the tub. I took a day off work to move my stuff from storage to the apartment. I moved a car full of stuff to the third floor. To find it ROACH INVESTED. They were coming from the outlets, carpet, and were hanging out on the wall. I had to move my belongings back down to my car and re pack it. Management told me it would take a few more days because they were unaware of the infestation. I told them I took off of work to move, they did not care and just said they could credit the days. Which was unacceptable. After I did move in, I still had ROACHES for till December ( I moved in August). Management had to bomb the entire building every other week for months. I was scared to leave food out, when I went to the bedroom. Horrible gross experience.

This place is a scam! It's an old, broken down apartment complex with a new coat of paint to hide all the blemishes. The floors are not level. The walls have cracks in them. The wall unit A/C is pointless because there is barely any insulation. The maintence crew is stacked full of idiots who bang on the wrong doors and try to enter the wrong apartment EVERY time. Oh and get ready to be woken up at 8am on the dot when someone's balcony needs to be repaired because that's when they start swinging hammers. I'm 99% sure my credit card information was stolen from using the laundry facility because the boxes that hold the card readers on the machines (yes, this is the only way to pay for laundry) are all broken and can be messed with at any time. Oh and last but not least, in the winter, no matter how many times they send pest control to your apartment you will find cockroaches EVERYWHERE. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! Take it from someone who did and hated every second of it.

Many changes have been made,such as a new maintenance supervisor who is very attentive and thorough.Our maintenance team is also very Knowledgeable. We try to consider resident's need for peace and quiet by not starting work that involves hammering and /or other loud noise before 9am. The card readers in the laundry room have been serviced and are there for everyone's convenience making it easier to get laundry done since you don't have to carry quarters or buy prepaid cards. We now have pest control to come in and treat each apartment, free of charge, every 6wks as a preventative measure. We want to ensure that everyone's time here at Sunrise is a pleasant one. This is a single bedroom and studio community. It is usually pretty quiet and I haven't had many issues while living here. Maintenance doesn't always get handled immediately. Their system is online so I'm not sure if the requests are never received or what. Overall it is not a bad place to stay.
