Property Ratings at Sunset Pointe Apartments
The place is crawling with roaches! Unless your health is not your thing, else you will stay away. I am impatiently waiting for my lease to expire so I can run away (which I stupidly renewed just a few months ago because I trusted the problem was getting fixed). Once again, stay away if you value your health; but then again if chilling with roaches is your thing, sign up!
If I could rate lower I would. The staff in the leasing office with the exception of LaTonya have no clue what they are doing or how their own leasing and billing works! I had to move out suddenly and their lease has a special provisions clause for early move out. I followed everything to the letter and moved out, signed off and thought everything was fine, I would be mailed my deposit after cleaning fees and the breaking lease fee. Lo and behold when I got a statement from them of the "final charges" I was appalled. They charged for cleaning, painting, "final utilities" and a higher lease breaking fee than the lease stated. When I went to get the statement clarified I was treated like trash, the manage Kathryn stated "I don't have time to do this, write down your questions and I'll email you. You can look confused all you want, the statement won't change and you won't get anything further." All I wanted was clarification and they couldn't and downright refused to discuss it. Never rent here, they are shady and rude on top of other complaints tenets have made which are valid for the most part.
Live here here just over a year. After the third time my daughter was stung by a Scorpion inside my apartment I decided to move. I complained several times to management and they did not resolve the issue. They came out once to spray the first complaint and brushed the next few complaints. Also they never repaired anything they promised they would repair. We couldn’t use the hall tub as it was painted and the paint would float around the bathtub if we attempted to use it.. After I told them I would move they are charging for another month even after I gave them notice.. THERE ARE PLENTY OF BETTER PLACE TO MOVE TO.
This place was just on the news in May about how bad the scorpion infestation is here and now they are jacking up people's rent. The office folks are awesome but the corporate office they report to are awful and just don't care.
I love it here. The staff is nice and helpful. Maitnence gets stuff done fairly quickly. They r also able to work with u on rent. Nice sized apartments as well. In a nice area. Have have NO issues in these apartments.
I have been at this apartment for 3 years now and I love it so much. The management people who work in the office are really very nice and helpful. On the rare occurrence something goes wrong in my apartment they fix it right away. Last winter my heat wasn't working and they came out at 8:00 p.m. to look at it and when they figured out they couldn't get it fix immediately they brought me heaters to make sure I wouldn't be cold overnight. The pools are very nice and always kept very clean, the lawn maintenance is always kept up and the flower are changed for the seasons. My 2 bedroom apartment is a really good size. Both bedrooms are bigger than in some houses my friends have and I love having 2 bathrooms. The washer and dryer are in a large closet on the patio which is perfect because the heat from the dryer doesn't heat up the apartment making my air conditioning bill more expensive. And the closet space is perfect, plenty of space for all of my clothes and stuff I have accumulated over the years. Whenever anyone asks me would I recommend my apartment complex I say absolutely!
I had a few bug issues, but you can call someone to come spray. Limited covered parking available. Residents aren't the greatest quality but for the most part it's a pretty average apartment complex. You're right next to the airport, but you get used to it. And there's a TON of construction around the area, but hopefully not for long. Nothing super bad, just not great either...
Across from McCarren airport, this complex is central to everything. Lots of grassy areas and 3 pools, so one is close to most units. Apartment is clean and quiet and very well designed. Staff is always accommodating and friendly. A lot of amenities for a great rate.
