Sunstone Village a 55+ Active Adult Cottages

It claims active living More like a non-nursing home once you are here you wait til you die unless you got big bucks to spend on "their" entertainment they charge a monthly entertainment fee that covers nothing...not even snacks for Bingo.....no coffee cups for morning coffee mingle ..a taco on Taco Tuesday...a sandwich on wine down Wednesday...2 slices of pizza on pizza on pizza night...if you get there early enough before they run out of food ...for $30 per person!!!!! And it is BORING HERE

The Sunstone property management should be ashamed of themselves in the way they take advantage and treat their residents! My mother lives here and she has told me many occasions the disrespectful treatment she has experienced from the manager. To be told they are lucky to be living there and yet, the property is not taken care of, many residents have leaky roofs, non working heaters or a/c's, broken sprinklers, broken gates, inconsistent rent payments and I could go on. These are older humans who deserve just as much, if not more, respect than everyone else. And they are wrongfully evicting people because their feelings got hurt. We are seriously thinking about contacting the local news and Better Business Bureau. Shame shame.

We’ve lived in SunStone Village for 4.5 months, and we love it! The residents and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. All the apartments (cottages) are one story and each has its own outside entrance and outside seating area. The grounds are well maintained and very pleasant with many mature trees and bushes. There is a very nice clubhouse with a large multi-purpose room for a number of daily activities for residents… entertainment, meals, happy hours, cards, movies, music, etc. The big, well equipped fitness center has up-to-date equipment and offers a number of instructor-led exercise classes throughout the week. A beautiful media room has a very large screen and comfortable chairs. A large, outdoor pool is right off the back of the clubhouse. It is used for casual swimming as well as instructor-led water aerobics during warm weather. Next to the pool is a roomy area used for outdoor grilling and entertaining. The location of SunStone Village is extremely convenient for shopping, restaurants, medical, universities and entertainment. Pet friendly. This is an ideal home for 55+ Active Adults.

I have lived here for only 2 1/2 months but, so far, I have been happy with the feel of the community, the staff, the maintenance, and the people living in the community. Even though it is considered apartments, I like that everything is just one story and it looks like a little garden community. The staff and residents have all been friendly and helpful.

Great neighborhood/community feel. Friendly staff, (shout out to Carlos, Leo, Jose, and Laquetta) lovely homes. Located close to any shopping needs you may desire.

If you are expecting luxury and great customer service look elsewhere. The model and the landscaping up front look good, but don't be fooled. Once you sign your lease, they forget you exist. The best employee is the maintenance worker. I have been very disappointed.

The feeling of community is wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. Less than 2 weeks after moving in my husband had a medical emergency and it was touching when several of our neighbors were offering to help and continue to check on his progress. Once the unpacking was done I stood in the kitchen and looked around and said to my husband this is where we belong It has been almost 40 years since either of us lived in an apartment, but this doesnt feel like what we remember. No one making noise above or below you it is home.

Attila Denton is a good place to live because of the other residents, but the management is poor primarily because of the frequent turnover of staff. The landscaping maintenance has been very poor in recent months. Carlos does an excellent job of building maintenance.

I love my home, I really like my neighbors and have enjoyed living here.. I do not demand much from the service but I would like to have the rats removed. I know this is a on going problem because of our location but they should be able to at least keep the rodents under control. I am NOT talking about mice; I am talking about rats.

I love it here at Attive Denton. The community is attractive and I love my apartment.

The grounds are very pleasing to the eye. It is a friendly property and the units were built to feel like a home and not an apartment..

I feel very safe and secure living here. The grounds of the apartments are always impeccably kept.

Would like to thank Cortland, Kingsley Attiva Denton that not only is a great atmospheric rental community but at the same time makes it all like a caring family. From the management, the staff, maintenance, etc. and to community! Beautiful!

I've been a resident for almost three years. My neighbors are great, caring and close-knit friends. We look out for each other. The complex is quite and the grounds are very well kept. Maintenance and office staff are great.

The friendships and helping each other despite this past pandemic year have been very special.

Nice, secure community living here at Attiva of Denton. Here it's like family. I enjoy talking with my neighbors and taking my dog for leisurely walks! Management is helpful and friendly. Maintenance support is A #1.

I moved into Attiva Denton's complex two months ago and am in love with my new home and community. Everyone is so very friendly. The cottage-style apartment is convenient, adorable and comfortable. While COVID-19 has put a damper on the usual activities, the Cortland company has done a nice job with virtual offerings to add some fun to our lives. (I'm especially enjoying the classes in cocktail mixology and painting that have been offered.) They have a few openings, you should schedule a tour!

Attiva has a cozy feel, its quiet and safe, and close to everything. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The residents are caring, fun and kind.

My experience at Attivia has been wonderful! Everyone here is so nice and personable. The personnel, maintenance team, and anyone else I have personally been associated with have always been very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I feel very safe here and they have a lot of activities here for us to choose if we want to participate in. The people all look out for each other too. I am building lifetime friendships with people. I love it here.

Peaceful, friendly, and adorable. Attiva Denton is a wonderful place to live if you are looking for a safe, quiet, welcoming community. Several activities and amenities available to you. You can by as busy or relaxed as you desire.

This community is safe and secure, clean, and very well-managed. I recommend it to everyone!

I expect much more for the amount of money we pay at Attiva. The hot tub has never worked. The pool is often green, there is no irrigation for the grass and the landscaping is hit or miss. The front of the property is kept up, but back where I live they run through and often do not blow away the trash, The dumpster is too small for this property and the GATE BREAKS ALL THE TIME - no security at all. And every year they want more money - for what exactly???

I love Attiva Denton. The grounds are lovely and they are letting me put up a fence for my pets. They keep the apartments up-to-date. Everyone is very kind, staff and residents.

I have lived here at Attiva Denton for almost 2 yrs. and made lots of new friends! It's nice to know that I can count on the community Lease Ofc. & Maintenance staff whenever I reach out to them! My neighbors are friendly and fun. The community grounds are always beautiful & well maintained. I especially like the convenience of living near Kroger, Walmart, Target, Lowes, & Tractor Supply.

I believe God led me to Attiva. It has proven to be a wonderful place to live.

Ive been here for about a month, and find the surroundings to be kept nicely. I have met a few people and look forward to activities resuming in order to meet more. Enjoying the quiet.

Attivia is a wonderful, friendly, and safe neighborhood. I love living in this community. Everyone just looks out for each other and has an amazing neighborhood bond. The staff including maintenance are so kind and personable. Always willing to listen and always greets me with a big smile and willingness to help in any way possible!

A nice, pretty campus along with very nice and updated roomy apartments. The staff is exceptional too .

Also, the couple doing front door trash pick up is very efficient and courteous!!!

Living at Attiva has been a great experience

Great on-site management and support staff where everybody knows your name! Here at Attiva Denton it feels like home! I never have to wait for assistance whenever submitting a work order request. Now I like that.

Love living in this complex. I feel very safe and secure. Most anything I need help with the office staff and Carlos the service team take great care in making my life here very enjoyable.

I have lived here since October 2019. Very nice, quiet community, friendly neighbors, helpful staff, very reasonable rates. Apartments are nice, plenty of storage, all ground floor. I personally would change the indoor paint colors, and would make more handicapped bathrooms available, but that is my personal preference. All in all, very nice, comfortable apartment living for seniors. I am very happy to have found this place!

I enjoy living at Attiva Denton! The friendly office staff is always ready to assist me! My AC keeps me cool as a cucumber! I have amazing neighbor who are fun to be with too!

The residents are very friendly. I like the cottage home feel. A very good location with access to multiple restaurants and shopping.

Wonder place to live. Close to shopping and restaurants. There are a lot of fun social gatherings and a great bible study class.

We have been at Attiva for nearly a year and it has exceeded our expectations. Apartments are nice size and community is well cared for. There are lots of planned activities. Would highly recommend.

I am exceptionally happy at Attivia Denton! The office staff and the service team is amazing. The office personnel are always friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable regarding this community and all it entails!!!! The planned activities are so much fun and gives you the opportunity to meet new people. The areas they provide for our pets is so helpful and also keeps the the grounds clean of pet waste. The people that live here are the best. Always willing to help each other out! I plan to be here for a long time.

We appreciate the fact that our apartment is on ground level. The care of the grounds Is great and beautiful. The maintenance staff is ALWAYS willing to help in any way that they can. The office staff always shows kindness, respectfulness and politeness every time I see them and/or talk to them.

I highly recommend living here at Attiva in Denton. It's a safe & secure community. Great neighbors! Great staff! Great amenities too!

Very convenient place to live. Grocery stores, Walmart and Target, and food within a mile. No noise heard from other apartments.
