Downtown Bellevue hugs the coast of Lake Washington's Meydenbauer Bay, directly across the lake from Downtown Seattle. Bellevue is an award-winning city, with accolades like the best place to live and start a business. Downtown Bellevue is the heart of this popular city, housing many of the businesses, shops, and Downtown Park -- an emerald-green oasis covering 21 acres and featuring a promenade, shade trees, a canal, and a 240-foot-wide waterfall.
As the city's central business district, Downtown Bellevue covers only about 400 acres -- but it is densely populated with office buildings, hotels, entertainment venues, apartment buildings, and shops. Some of the neighborhood's largest employers include Expedia, Eddie Bauer, Concur, and Paccar. Microsoft, located in nearby Redmond, is the city's largest employer.
Bellevue Square contains a variety of shops and restaurants, while the Bravern is a mixed-use development containing offices, apartments, and shops.

Property Ratings at Surrey on Main
I had an amazing 10/10 experience with the leasing staff in the beginning (Hart was the best!!), but it quickly went downhill after moving in. Surrey presents itself as a newly built, luxury apartment but the infrastructure is poorly built. The floors are incredibly thin and you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking, esp if they’re wearing shoes or hard sole slippers in the house. You can hear them moving chairs/furniture, or if they dropped something on the floor. We got unlucky with a neighbor who has a kid upstairs and they run around at random hours (sometimes starting 7:30am on weekends). I can’t even blame the neighbors because I’m sure parents can’t always control their kid running. The problem is the cheap materials that they built the floor with that doesn’t block ANY noise. I’m honestly really surprised at how thin the floors are considering that this is 2023 and the building was built last year!! Our home doesn’t feel peaceful and management hasn’t done much to resolve this issue. Maintenance requests take forever to get resolved. We’ve been waiting almost a month to get some things fixed: water not heating up properly nor quickly, window screens coming off, etc. Now that the leasing team has transitioned out, there is no dedicated manager we can reach out to who can expedite the process. Even when the leasing team was available, only when we reached out saying something needed to get fixed asap did we finally have the maintenance team come and take a look. I see other reviewers talk about the unreasonable utility bills. Haven’t gotten ours yet but yea..seems bonkers to have to pay $600 for a 1 bed apt. We don't have central heating so I'm scared at how big our heating bill will come out to be. The heaters take AWHILE to heat up and we have to keep the heater on at all times. Otherwise, it might take a day or two to feel warm in our place. There is also no AC in some units. Be sure to check if your unit comes with AC or not because I'd imagine it can get really hot during the summer. Some pros of living here are: great location, clean amenities. Location is truly amazing. You’re right across the street from Hmart, Blazin Bagels, 8 min walk to the bus stop that takes you to downtown Seattle, 15 walk to the mall. With that said, I’m not sure if I’d renew my lease here for the reasons mentioned above.
