Susitna Ridge

The hallway on the 4th floor is treacherous the ceilings are falling in there’s a big hole and it smells of mildew and bad trash ! The faucets in my kitchen is really disgusting looks like it hasn’t been changed in years and the shower head . I’ve complained several times about the tub not draining properly and the messed it up even more these apartments are horrible

Plumbing overflowed into my kitchen sink, waters are down because of Plumbing issues and Susitna Ridge doesn't care. Along with moisture you get no-see'ms and water ants

Been living in my apartment for almost a year now (in August) and will definitely be renewing my lease. Initially chose the location because of the reviews I’d seen here and it’s proximity to UAA, the store, downtown, and anywhere else you’d need to go really. It’s been a great experience. Living alone as a woman in my twenties, I’ve never felt unsafe here. It stays pretty quiet, and everyone I’ve seen or crossed paths with has been super friendly and inviting (mostly young college students, military, or long-term residents I’ve noticed). The covered parking in the winter, top-notch maintenance, and the view are amazing too (can see the mountains from my spot—perfect for coffee in the morning). Definitely the ideal location for me, will be staying as long as I can.

Lived in my 1 bedroom unit for 7.5 years before leaving the great State b/c of a job transfer. Maintenance staff is top notch, every request put in was completed. The management staff is professional and willing to work with you to ensure your experience at this apt is a pleasurable one. People of the older generation that I met over the years at the complex told me they stayed here for over 10 years b/c they loved there apt rental. Along the same line, that is what convinced me to rent from here to begin with b/c of a senior citizen invited me to her unit when I found out that the office was closed for the day. Her gesture along with what she told me about the place convinced me this was the place for me. Everything ( medical , schools , shoppes , job ) is within 10 minutes. I am going to miss taking walks to Fire Island Bakery close by, car port parking, onsite storage ( extra fee ), and the staff.

I'm a current resident at Susitna Apartments. One of the main reasons I chose the complex was its proximity to my workplace. Another was the friendliness and welcomed feeling I received when I initially inquired about it. I first met Tina; then, NancyDee. It was evident that both of them knew and cared about the residents in both apartment complexes on site. The apartments are spacious and clean, as well as the overall complex. For the most part, residents tend to respect others' spaces. If I had one critique it would be that the hallway carpet needs to be replaced due to the amount of traffic it receives. In addition, living in Alaska is messy during the winter with snow, sand and gravel everywhere. There's only so much cleaning that can be done on lighter colored carpet though. Nonetheless, that's a superficial issue. Maintenance issues are resolved expeditiously and the place is safe. I call it home.

I was a resident of Susitna Ridge Apartments from July 2017 to June 2018 as a second residence for work. After looking around a several locations, I chose Susitna Ridge Apartments for the cleanliness of the apartment, the convenient location to & from work, it was affordable, and I especially appreciated the professionalism of the management. There were a only a few times that I had to call maintenance for minor issues, but when I called, they addressed the issue right away. I would highly recommend Susitna Ridge Apartments to anyone looking for a safe, clean, and affordable place to live.

This is the most convenient apartment leaving offering the options of regular apartments and home apartments. It is conveniently located with easy access to the downtown area, supermarkets, trails, shopping centers, and departments stores.The building is secure with cameras in the lobby area, and the smoke detractors, fire alarms,and sprinklers are always kept to code with regular inceptions. The parking lot is always well kept, and equipped with carports and electric plug-ins. The laundry room is kept clean with good performance washing machines and dryers. Unlike other apartment laundry rooms, this area is always well maintained. The management is friendly, and caring; providing a sense of family. The maintenance staff is cordial, prompt and efficient in responding to repairing requests. There is a gym and sauna inside the building, a feature that is not always offered with most apartments. I can not ask for anything more!

These are nice apartments. A little older, but staff if great super friendly. Great prices too!! ;)

I have lived in the apts for over a year. They are OK, dated but usable. They try to be flexible with the apt. contracts and will work with you to the best of their ability. The maintenance is great overall; one must consider the complex is aging and needs occasional repairs. Gary is a works tirelessly to keep the apts. up-to-date. It is the staff's attitude that make Susitna Ridge a good experience. Covered parking is a great plus. The parking lot noise late at night has gone down. I pay for water and electric. I have never had a problem with the hear. I do hear the people above me (they seem to “forget” there are people below them and like to vacuum, drop heavy things or move furniture after 10 pm). The staff does try to work with you on whatever problem there is to try to address it. Over all it is a decent place to live in Anchorage.

Although the neighbor hood may not be the best, the location is still ideal because of its close proximity to both downtown and midtown. The complex its self is well kep on the outside. The inside of the building looks good right near the main office but all other areas are in need of some up grades. This complax does have a nicely kept laundry room that is new this year and a garbage room that is open during the week so that you don't have to deal with trudging through the snow. Over all I have been pretty happy here these past two years.

When I was researching apartments I knew I wanted community and value. Susitna Ridge offers both of these. When I visited I noticed the covered parking first, which means I don't have to dig my car out of snow before rushing off to work. Each apartment has a balcony with glass sliding doors so I can sit outside to enjoy the sun and scenery, and I can grow my ficus tree inside. The community is wonderful. It's quiet, peaceful, and people seem genuinely respectful. Maintenance and Staff are available during working hours. I feel safe knowing there is an extra set of eyes while I'm away at work. Rent is competitively priced and their online system makes paying rent or requesting maintenance simple and efficient. The fitness room is great for rainy days. The one only thing I don't like is the laundry room. I wish I had a washer dryer set in my apartment. But it's great being able to do a few loads at one time. That means I can spend more time jogging or cycling on the bike path just a quarter mile down the road. Susitna is within jogging distance to West Chester Lagoon, one of my favorite spots in Anchorage. This is why I call Susitna home and will continue to do so for a long time.

Nice, spacious, affordable, well organized and well maintained laundry room. Now I don't have to drive to go workout at the gym. There's a exercise room here in the building. One thing I would like to see here is, a parking sticker for the residents.

Susitna Ridge is one of the best Weidner properties in Anchorage. When considering price, location, building condition, amenities unit options, I would argue it is one of the best properties in town. Although Weidner has nicer or more "luxurious" properties in their inventory, I have often found that their location leaves something to be desired. Admiral's Cove in DeBarr is a prime example of that. Plenty of covered parking, keyed entry, large laundry facilities and a fitness center on property are just some reasons why this is a property to consider when moving to or around Anchorage.

Have been in our apartment for 5 years. The facilities takes care of request promptly and are always courteous and friendly. We love the fact of secure entry so you know when people are in the apartment building they are with a resident and the resident is responsible for them so there are not loud parties or people running up down the hallways all time of day and night. There is a designated quite time so everyone knows to walk lightly, turn TV's and radios down for a peaceful evening.

I moved in to this apartment community March 1, 2015 and from the beginning I felt welcome and part of the community family. The managers and staff are top notch and are always positive and very willing to make my residence here a wonderful experience. They are quick to respond to my needs and/or questions and any maintenance issues are dealt with quickly. The facility is secure and the ammenities, laundry and fitness center and the surrounding grounds are always clean and well maintained.

This apartment is just ok....It is over priced for the area...

This apartment is close to downtown which is nice but there is no good businesses nearby (coffee shops, good stores, etc). The apartments are decently priced. Unfortunately in the Medfra building there are some residents who yell at each other often and late at night, but that's to be expected in a apartment with so many people. Parking is easy, the halls a clean and the building is ok with security. I love having a balcony and my own bathroom, that's great. And it's also nice to be close to the bus line and Chester Creek Trail. Good apartment if you're trying to save money or get through college!

The apartment is located in the heart of anchorage. It is centrally located as well as affordable and is extremely conveient. The Staff and tenants are extremely nice and very humble to be around. The size of the apartment itself is more than rewarding, and provides more than enough space for me and my needs. My needs are constantly meet and I am continuously blown away by how much this apartment has to offer.

This is the perfect place for my daughter and I. From day 1, staff was awesome! They are kind, considerate and incredibly friendly, always available and quick to respond. This is a security building, we have a huge laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers, this room is always very clean. The views are incredible, I love waking up to the mountains in the morning! I have and will continue to encourage my family and friends to stop by and see for yourself what they have to offer! I have extended family moving into the building as well. The fitness room, business center and community room are easily accessible to residents for their use. AND AGAIN, the staff here at Susitna Ridge are awesome!

It's close to the university, downtown, grocery stores, and many more places. The appliances are a little out of date, but the apartment set up is awesome. The staff are also kind. As every apartment, it has it's pros and cons, but it's not a bad place to live.

This is a great first apartment! It has plenty of parking space and the staff is always helpful and super nice! Plus the location of this apartment is super great you're really close to downtown to go shopping or go out for a night on the town & if you're a college student like me it's the perfection as well because the UAA campus is less than 5 minutes away. Unlike the other apartment buildings we have great parking and both of the parking garages are lite up at night.

The friendliest people I have ever encountered. The help here is great and kind. The people living here are always smiling and ready to help. I have never felt unsafe when I am here, it is always quiet, and it is very clean. Definitely worth every penny I am spending here. I highly suggest this place for anyone. It is great for families as well as singles, which is who I am. I am very happy I am here.

Living at Susitna Ridge has been great, from first time I went to the walk threw I knew this was home for me, at first sight, a year later I still love it here, I definitely see myself living here long term.

My husband and I have only been in our apartment for about one month, after having rented other Weidner apartments in Anchorage. We've found Susitna Ridge to be the perfect place for us and anyone seeking a quiet setting, with beautiful surroundings, lovely apartment accommodations AND a great, collaborative management team. The apartments are bright, clean and have lovely balconies sporting views of the Chugach Mountains to the east and south. A fireplace in every unit provides a homey feel to the living space. High ceilings and lots of closets and cabinets really make these apartments feel more like a home instead of temporary housing. We feel like this is 'home' in every way. Even the proximity to all things we love is great. We're close to grocery, dining, movie and shopping opportunities. The parks trails accesses are nearby and we can walk nearly anywhere to get a good stretch, fill our souls with the scenery, and get to any location we desire. We recommend that prospective renters come see the spaces at Susitna Ridge Apartments in Anchorage. You'll love the team of NancyDee, Autumn and Garry in the office - and you can bet you'll have great neighbors!

I moved into this apartment in Feb 2015, the staff here is very friendly and professional, located close to 2 bus lines.

Love my new 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom apartment. Hasn't been a month but so far everything is going great. Thanks to the friendly staff for all their help.

Its a very nice apartment. Its a 2 bedroom and both have baths. But I need big apartment that could fit all my belongings and family in it. Also I need an affordable one.

I have been here 20 years. I feel at Home. I feel safe. It is a good place. they treat everyone the same. The renters are all so nice to each other. Maintenance is great and management is good.

This apartment building has a lot going for it. The views are great, recently updated laundry room with new washers and driers, workout room with tanning, the staff is so friendly and helpful, good location with quick access to highways, quiet, great patio/balcony space, and good storage, closet, cabinet space in my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. The only down side is that it is an older building.

After months of looking for a place, we happened upon Susitna Ridge, what a great find. A great location,near downtown , hospitals, costco, and many other places. I find myself secure here, and almost everything I need is on sight or close by. Laundry,workout room,tanning room, and basic cable is included, also covered parking, that is patrolled nightly by a private security company. The staff is really outgoing ,and friendly, and try hard to make this a safe,and happy home for all! The thing that impresses me the most is that is quiet! A great find.

Secure building, location convenient to Midtown, Downtown, UAA Campus, Providence and Alaska regional. I live on the 5th floor and the view of the mountains is a major plus! Very handy to public transportation as well. I also love having a laundry in the building and a fireplace in my unit.

This apartment is near downtown, my job and school. I enjoy the convenience. I don't enjoy the constant threats about if something in the apartment breaks( dish washer, garbage disposal, and pipes) I will have to pay for it personally. If I wanted to repair a building I would buy a house.
