Property Ratings at Sussex Square Apartments
Lived there for over 13 years. I had to deal with bedbugs, incompetent maintenance that ignores repairs for months on end (then does a slipshod job afterward), contractors that cause damage to your personal property, poor neighbors who are loud and smoke marijuana inside, and lazy and unresponsive management who don’t care for anything about you beside your money. The apartments are very old and outdated also. Much faulty wiring, malfunctioning “new” appliances, and other issues. I have nothing to gain posting this, this is just my objective truth whilst living in the Sussex Square Apartment complex. Don’t go here, it sucks.
This place seems to be all about money now-a-days. It was a nice quiet place until covid shutdown so it made deals with loud uncouth people who think its okay to talk at the top of their lungs after midnight and thud around after midnight and have a lot of various people living in a 1-bedroom apartment. When you follow directions and report the disturbance they ignore you until you contact them and then they tell you to do the same thing that you did before. Maintenance seems to be on top of things but it seems that "management" downsizes repairs/replacements instead of supplying you with the same size appliance. Reported trip hazards that were never repaired, but notified of "trip hazards" without any descriptions of the trip hazards.Looking to move asap as soon as I find another place. Oh, also PIT BULL BARKS AND WHINES ALL THE TIME WHEN RENTER IS NOT THERE!!! Saw one jogger move to the driveway which he is not supposed to do according to management but couldn't help it because of PIT BULL!!!
After having lived here for more than 5 year I am moving to my own home. only while searching for my new home I am able to appreciate the facilities I enjoyed in Sussex Square Apartment. Sussex Square apartments is strategically located, easy access to big mall (Plymouth meeting mall, Metroplex mall. Northtowne plaza is just less than 10 mins drive), Schools - Colonial School district is one of the best, Plymouth Elementary is at walk-able distance (less than a 2 minutes drive), colonial middle school is less than 10 minutes drive, Easy access to freeway - you can hit 276 or 476 in just 2 mins. Safe Environment, Kids can play without fear of any traffic, Amenities inside the apartment are above average (may not be the best in town) and well maintained and leasing office is always responsive to your queries. Friendly people in this community, I and my kids had good company. I am going to miss this lifestyle. ** sometimes noisy outside you wont hear it inside the apartment: If you don't like kids playing outside then this community is not for you. .
I have been living here for past 15 years. Very clean, management is always helpful, very safe for single person and overall family living, mall and bus stand as well as major stores are on walkable distance. My favorite one is Barns and Nobles.
