Property Ratings at Sutters Mill Apartments
This place is awesome. So much to offer. Lots of space and storage. I went for the non renovated unit and it’s still extremely fancy and modern. I love my private balcony and huge kitchen. The office staff here are so kind and welcoming. This is the place to be!
We lived in Sutters Mill for 6 years. The staff was very responsive and quick to fix any issues that we had. They were friendly and polite. Our apartment had a really nice view of Knoxville and was laid out just right. Noise was, the majority of the time, not a problem but neighbors were nice enough to address any issues. We really enjoyed the pool when we could. We also enjoyed the pool table. This complex is right in the middle of west Knoxville with easy access to West Town Mall and a variety of restaurants, shops, and hospitals. All in all it was a good experience and I would highly recommended this complex!
Tenants are paying for numerous Amenities, including the Pool, Fitness Center, Basketball Court, Tennis and so forth. As of June 2,2021 all of these are closed and we are not allowed to use them. Management refuses to open them or inform the residents when they will all be open. We moved here for these Amenities that were advertised and part of the agreement. This is NOT cool!
There are so many things to consider when moving into a new apartment, like location and cost, that sometimes the most important things get overlooked. I would encourage anyone looking for an apartment to also consider the support staff that run the apartments. These are the people who work behind the scenes to turn a rental property into a welcoming and safe place to call home. Sutters Mill is a beautiful place to live, and after being a resident there for nearly 4 years, I’ve realized this is largely due to the incredible staff that cares for our complex. Starting with my drive through the parking lot, where the landscaping is always well cared for, the pool is never murky, and the dumpsters are never overflowing. Moving into the breezeways where the bugs are kept at bay, and laundry facilities are always in working order. Into my apartment with it’s natural sunlight, hardwood flooring, up to date appliances, and beautiful architecture. I will often see some sort of notice on my door about fire alarms being inspected, pest control, parking lot updates, or some other form of quality control. I’ve come to expect prompt and polite responses from the office staff. I am treated respectfully and with excellent hospitality at all times. One thing that kept me loyal to this property is the hard working maintenance staff. It is not often that I call in a work order, but whenever I need something, the work is handled diligently, with great pride, and it’s done right the first time. I receive knowledgeable advice and reassurance during repairs, and if parts are needed, they are brought in with great expediency. There is an after hours phone service for emergency work orders as well. I am continuously impressed by their professionalism in handling my requests. In these unprecedented times, having a safe, clean, well cared for, and welcoming place to live has been more valuable than ever. Sutters Mill provides me with peace of mind and a wonderful place to call home.
They give you water damaged apartments with old water heater connections that apparently are too old and busy randomly. They also do not allow you to use your outside storage closet and they lock it so you do not have storage anywhere. They also allowed our roommate to be off of our lease and I sent in everything to the T about how many people and who was with me. This leas to our roommate being able to screw us over and the Apts helped him do it. Don’t live here because you cannot trust this system. It’s smarter to get a house and pay your mortgage. Thank you for the tiny not so wonderful apt for one month. Oh and we owe them $2000 and stayed ONE MONTH. Our roommate owes nothing because they FAILED to add him to the lease or notify anyone of this failure. I will now post this to anywhere else until they fully understand that this was completely uncalled for. Thanks for sending a collection agency after me for an apt you have rented out again already. -The Bakers
