Looks can be deceiving. These apartments appear breathtaking, but the reality is far from it. As a tenant, you are charged monthly for pest control, yet you must call for service to have your unit treated. In contrast, every place I have lived prior, the management took responsibility for pest control and treated every unit, which was included in the rent. Here, there is a severe roach infestation. It's horrible and no matter what you do, roaches will still be present. I'm convinced the entire complex is infested as I have spoken to various neighbors in different units who share the same problem.

I''m only writing this because I saw some of the recent reviews are 5-star. But this is far from the truth and I believe they're fake reviews. The owners will find any means to charge you extra on every little thing. They'll use the lease agreement - which is vague - to suck every penny out of you. Thank me later or "I told you so".

I lived at this community for many years. The staff is incredible. Ali the assistant and Chandra the manager have been the familiar faces I have seen for years. I wish I didn't have to leave. If you are looking for a quiet affordable place to call home, this is it.

My self guided tour for my daughter was great today. Cassandra the manager explained all the details for me. Pricing was higher than the others on this street but when you drive in it explains why. The two bedroom that I saw was very nice and clean. The feature that really caught me attentions was the pond located in the center of the apartments. I will bring my daughter and wife this weekend. If I had to say something bad it would be the tight limited parking, but overall I am happy with this apartments.

I looked really hard to find an affordable apartment that is safe and pest free. I brought these concerns up with Veronica and she not only arranged for a viewing before I applied she has been the sweetest, most attentive, and responsive landlord I have ever rented from.I can't say enough about how great she has been. She makes me feel like she really cares about our community she is a delight to deal with everytime. The apartments are clean and beautiful. The neighborhood is friendly but quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sweetwater at Buckingham!

Save yourself the trouble, do not move here! SO MANY BUGS! I have lived all over Dallas, never dealt with bugs like this. My first night moving in I woke up to roaches everywhere. I asked the office to come spray, they asked if I was sure I saw roaches because they didn’t see any in the showing.. there is clearly an issue with bugs in the complex. People leave their trash out all around the trash can, even when it’s empty and open. Loud music at night, thin walls you can hear everything. The gates never worked the entire time I lived here. They are supposedly second chance apartments, if you get behind, even just a week they will not work with you and start the eviction process at 10 days late. I wish I never moved into these raggedy apartments. Don’t let the pictures fool you, everything is a bandaid job to cover up how ratchet they really look. I had cracks in my ceilings and windows. This is worse than low income apartments and they cost way too much.

This place was fine until we had an incident on property that required management (Candra & Ali) to "get involved". I say that lightly because they did absolutely NOTHING to resolve the issue. They lied for a month saying they were handling it and when I continued to pursue the issue, they became very rude and flat out refused to rectify the situation. Cheri is the ONLY one here that does anything. She's great with the tenants and follows up appropriately. The other two just sit in their offices and avoid interacting with tenants as much as possible. I'm guessing that's because they have NO customer service skills. I haven't had any maintenance needs in a while, but in the past, they have taken 2 weeks to respond. The property constantly has trash strewn all over from tenants who don't properly dispose of their trash. All in all, I hate living here and can't wait until my lease is up!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Great place to live if nothing ever goes wrong or you never need anything fixed....but god help you if it do. Customer Service does not exist within this property...honestly not even sure how they even rent these apartments considering no one is EVER working. It may take a dozen phone calls or emails, not to mention trips to the office to get anyone who actually works in the office to assist you at all. Management literally doesn't exist and the corporate office is ALWAYS closed too. Good luck if you choose to live here because all you will ever be told is it's your problem not theirs.

Don't move here!!! Worst place ever!! We had ants ?? all over the bedroom. Couldn't get rid of them. Our ceiling was leaking. Took them 2 months after annoying them 100 times to fix it. Then our apartment got broken into. They didn't care, or change our locks for us. The people who broken into our apartment didn't break our windows or our door. I am pretty sure they don't change the locks before we move in. So that person probably use to live there. The gate never works. I never can't in and have to wait until someone comes out the gate. They never answer their phones. They are SUPER rude. Oh my gosh!!! I can't wait to move out. This is most awful place ever!!!

I've stayed at this apartment since 09/2013 under the old management and everything was fine until Vesta bought it out. Since the new management came in, they "updated" their leasing office, painted the walls of the building and manage nothing. The workers are so rude and they never answer the phone calls. They have also made changes to the rules and policies of the apartment complex without having to notify their tenants. Instead of a flat rate of X-amount of dollars, it changes from month to month because the water bill isn't included in the flat-rate. Once we got a monthly bill in the mail, we paid that amount. The management told us that we owed $50 more then what was said and told us that we needed to check with Conservice (another rip-off service they use) for the exact amount. Excuse me?? It's not my fault that they made the mistake and we have to pay for it.
DON’T EVER LIVE HERE I have lived here for year now they have new Management horrible people HORRIBLE. I paid rent for September, October, November and December. I got a letter in the mail in December saying I owed September rent I called to office immediately to inform them of the letter Kelly the assistant manager said that my account was fine and she does not know why I got that I ignored it 12/8/2016 I got a notice in the door that I was owing so I said OK let me go the office the next day when they open to resolve the issue, I got the office she was not there, my son called me and said this woman is changing the locks and she said she was coming to take our stuff on Monday while at the store I got the office and RUG RAT of manager said I owe rent for September in December and started being disrespectful as if Vesta is hers
Was trying to get information about moving in soon, and unfortunately staff isn't very cooperative and helpful. It's a shame since it looks like a nice place to live. I guess ill be looking elsewhere.
This apts may look nice since they spent lots of money redecorating the office to make you think the apts must be just as nice. But they aren't. The counters aren't granite, they are cheap and will chip at the slightest pressure. Roaches, mice, ants, wasps nests; you name it they have it. The mgt are lazy, rude, or never in the office. Beware of Ally! Maintenance takes forever to be completed since there is only 2 guys for the whole complex. The mgt rather pay to have leaf blowers than actually fix problems around the apt. Like the gate that is constantly breaking. Garbage dumpsters are always overflowing. People leave their trash on the ground since there's nowhere else to put it. This attracts rodents and stray cats.
I currently live in this apartment complex, the only and amenities that they have ever had is the swimming pool the gym and a closed of and a closed-off pond this last summer they kept the swimming pool closed until the last week of summer because they didn't want to put out the money to clean the pool even though each one of these units cost about $1,000 in rent, in addition maintenance is terribl in addition maintenance is terrible, management is rud in addition maintenance is terrible, management is rude, and now there's only access to the gym during the hours that the office is open which is supposed to be from 8 to 5 but they take more breaks and show more apartments then they do keeping the facility available to the tenants that live here so the only an amenity that was left was the gym and now we are restricted to even that. The unit space is very small it's like living in a crackerjack box there is no cabinetry space, and the walls are as thin as paper I have dealt with hearing every single noise from my upstairs neighbors. So in conclusion this is by far the worst place to live, the only difference between here and living in an apartment in a bad area is that here they charge you 3 times rent it is the biggest rip off ever
we moved to this place two months ago after we signed a 13 months contract, but we can't wait to leave it. problems started from day one! when the lady called courtney made my husband signe a contract for a 3rd floor apartment after he told her we are looking for a 1st floor apartment.The garage she gave us is too far away from our apartment, we accepted that after she promised she will transfer us to a closer one! but when we ask for it she said it is not in their policy! when we move to our apartment it was dirty and ant infested! few weeks later I found out I am living with mice! the pest control guy comes every other week to put some baits, but we still have mice. in addition to that the windows are too low(which is too risky for your kids), the storage toom is way small( all what you can put is some small boxes because the water heater is there).
Don't ever lease with this apartment. The new leasing company viesta doesn't have professional staffs and doesn't seem to respect people. Just pay a visit to this visit to this property and you will feel the reality. They have a admin fee of 360$ and say they wave off half first month rent, don't fall to this scam. Because once you sign the lease, you will get to know the additional unnecessary addons. They say that they renovated the complex but reality is tinkering and painting to look like new. They are not enforcing rental insurance, car insurance as if they are a landlord of a luxury complex with unnecessary HOA rules like housing complex. If you take a tour of the apartment complex, you can see the patchwork on roads everywhere... Disrespectful people all around, especially Alley. Not sure, if this people know to smile or not even.
Sweetwater at Buckingham does the job. The Apartment was nice, clean and there were not many problems with bugs or other things breaking. They have recently switched management and are currently renovating a lot of the complex. They have completely redone the pool area with new lights, new deck and grills. They have torn down the old playground area and have installed new (overly bright at night) lights in the courtyard area towards the back of the complex. The apartment itself had nice natural lighting thanks to the floor to ceiling windows in each room, brand new carpet and black appliances. The bedroom in the smallest 1 bedroom model have nice double doors. One of the most awesome features is the giant bathtub! It is the largest bathtub that I have ever had in an apartment. As far as location, this apartment is not very walkable but is close to everything. In other words, there are not many great restaurants/parks/etc... that are easy to get to on foot but its close proximity to 75 & 635 allow you to get to a lot of places quickly. You can get to NorthPark Mall in 12-15 Minutes, Lower Greenville in 15-18 minutes and downtown Plano in about 10. At the end of the day, this is not the nicest apartment ever but great for the $700-$800 range monthly rent pricetag.
