Property Ratings at Sycamore Park
Affordable price, great location, well maintained place. Quite and super safe. Management always responsive and easy to reach out.I loved the place, I only left due to employment out the area.
Sycamore Park is an excellent and clean place. My studio has an affordable rent. Whenever I had a problem in my apartment or something was broken, maintenance came to fix or replace whatever the problem was. Laundry room has new and well maintained washers and dryers. It also has a pool which is excellent for children and families.
It's hard, I wanted to leave a 4 or 5 star review. As the others said, there has been high turnover of on site management, and the communication of these changes has been not great. I appreciate the flexibility I had when I moved from the studio unit to the 1bedroom and I was able to change my lease. However, I dealt with a weird stalker guy who kept asking me out then got hostile when I'd walk my dog, so I had to abruptly leave since there is no gate/code to enter the premises. That was a big mess, but it was finally cleared up without uncivil behaviors which is nice. I do miss that apartment, I would live there again even with the frequent water shut off. The walls were well insulated so you couldn't really hear your neighbors. I think the property overall was nice despite the laundry room being kinda neglected. Overall as I said, I would live there again if it wasn't for that weird guy stalker issue. I do think they tried, and I do think they were somewhat aware of the improvements needed and were trying.
I lived in a studio apartment about 4 years, very convenient location to everything - to work, grocery stores, the mall, Santana Row, coffee shops, etc. Also, great neighbors and the manager, she is very responsive, friendly and she makes sure the job gets done.
I was really excited when I moved in here, not the absolute best location but the manager (Cathy) was really op top of things and made sure everything was to the best of her ability. We got a new property manager not too long ago and the quality of the living experience has gone downhill. The laundry room has broken washer and dryers and the repairs and replacements are not done in a timely manner. The water has been shut off a number of times in the past year without ANY notice, all of a sudden you just didn't have water and didn't know when it was coming back. You'd think that at minimum, a notice would be given so people know what to expect and about how long it would last; so if you need to use the restroom, brush your teeth, shower, drink water... you can figure something else out. The last time the water was shut off it lasted for almost a day and we didn't hear a peep from the property manager. Just terrible service coming from someone that is supposed to be the point of communication for being a part of this community, it's truly disappointing.
The previous manager Cathy was great. The new one not so much. Our water has been shutoff without any notice on multiple occasions and without any reason given.
What happened to Cathy? She was amazing always went above and beyond to get this place up and running from the previous on-site manager, who did major damage to this property. Since the property manager is no longer on site! this place has turned into a dump! Washers are always broken, apartments are out of date, windows needs to be replaced and can't get a response from anyone to fixing anything in the apartment, drug deals in the parking lot, no security (need to update the web sight)! Boynton Avenue has people racing up and down the street, running stop signs, people always parking in the red zone so you can't see cars coming on both directions so a lot of accidents happen! But I gotta say they never miss a beat on rasing your rent! Every year your get a letter saying your rent has been raised! But don't worry your money is being put to good use :D
I lived here for 3 years and really loved it. The property manager Cathy is really great to work with and responsive. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Parking is straight forward for residents but guests must park on the street not a big deal. The unit I had was upstairs and had basically no issues at all. If something needed fixed Cathy took care of it. Great place will miss it.
Stayed in a 700sf one bedroom for a year at Sycamore Park and really enjoyed it. Decent location and a very responsive/accommodating property manager. Neighbors were respectful and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. 10/10 would recommend!
I have lived at Sycamore Park for over 6 years now and really enjoy living here. The property is quiet and well-maintained and the neighbors are pleasant and respectful. And I love that I am within 1-2 miles of everything I need. The manager is fantastic and makes sure everything is the way it should be and she is friendly and approachable and truly cares about the property and tenants. It doesn’t seem like many people move and three of my neighbors have all lived here well over 5-10 years. I feel really lucky to live in this oasis in the middle of a busy area.
I'm not sure what the last review was about. The manager was ALWAYS available. She responded to emails quickly and voicemails almost immediately. Often I saw Cathy in her work clothes getting dirty and helping her team fix a problem. The grounds are immaculate as is the pool. The owners clearly spend a large portion on the beauty and cleanliness of the complex. They've also made it easy to pay rent on line which is a huge bonus for me. Neighbors are quiet and considerate; mostly young professionals and some families. I am a real tenant and am pleased to write a good review for the manager Cathy, the complex and it's owners.
Property Manager at Sycamore Park, Responded To This Review
Hey there, We were delighted to read your cheerful review of Sycamore Park Apartments. You have us blushing here in the office and we know it was the highlight of Cathy's day. We are pleased to learn you're enjoying the many positive perks of tenancy at Sycamore, such as online payments and a beautifully maintained property. Here's to many more cozy days ahead! The Sycamore Park Team
It is very very difficult to contact management. Most of the time the property manager is unavailable, you should be lucky enough for your call to get connected and never ever think of meeting physically. I had several issues with rent payments and utility payments. There is an online payment service available through external agency and if you have some issue in the payments, there will be no one for your help. I ended up paying my electricity bill twice and unnecessary penalties as autopayment doesn't work. The owner/agent doesn't help or doesn't know how the online payments work. The only reason I gave 2 stars because neighbors are nice in this community.
Property Manager at Sycamore Park, Responded To This Review
I am the manager and live onsite, have posted office hours and an office phone number as well as an emergency maintenance phone number that is answered 24/7 and 7 days a week. In addition, one of the many benefits of our community is the ability to pay rent online. If a problem occurs there are multiple sources of assistance to solve any issues. I am sorry this resident is not happy with the management presence or the online rent payment service. I have had multiple interactions with her since this review and she has never mentioned having any issues.
