If you are looking for a bustling shopping and business district in the Atlanta area, then the Perimeter Center neighborhood is the spot for you. Anchored by Perimeter Mall, Perimeter Center is one of metro Atlanta’s largest commercial districts.
Perimeter Center straddles the Perimeter itself, a boundary outlined by Interstate 285 that separates Atlanta from the suburbs. Although a portion of Perimeter Center is considered a part of Atlanta, the area is also comprised of Brookhaven, Dunwoody, and Sandy Springs, some of the city’s most popular suburbs. An abundance of shopping centers and restaurants surround Perimeter Mall, so residents have easy access to plenty of amenities.
High rises filled with offices of major companies like UPS and three major hospitals — Saint Joseph’s, Northside, and Children’s at Scottish Rite — are in Perimeter Center as well.

I have just completed a month, and I would say Mo has been really helpful and resilient in helping me feel at home at Sync. Definitely, there is some issue, but which apartment doesn't? Overall great area to live in, secured and clean. More importantly, the management is friendly and will support you throughout moving and settling down

It just goes from bad to worse in this place. ANYONE LOOKING TO RENT HERE, PLEASE BEWARE! We recently had flooding in the complex, they decided that turning on a shop fan was the answer to that situation. The black mold in this place is days away from eating this complex alive. Because of the flood, the service elevator has been disabled and now everyone has one elevator to move things in and out of their apartments. I called about this and was told there is no ETA on the fix. The trash continues to get worse by the week. Cockroaches and the smell of garbage is awful. We pay a $60 a month fee to have the trash removed and they will go weeks with trash all throughout the halls. And the entry way to the apartment is packed so full with trash that you have to step over it. They recently replaced some kitchen lights and when they put the fixture back up, there was literally a three inch hole left. They marked it completed, and I watched as cockroaches climb in and out of the hole for days. SO DISGUSTING! The parking garage is a whole issue on its own, people literally park their cars in the middle of the garage now that the service elevator is out so that they can move their belongings in and out. I've been to some bad complexes and Sync at Perimeter is hands down the most neglectful I've ever seen. They care nothing about their tenants and it's sad because of the amount that they charge to live here. I would rather live in my car at this point, it is UNBELIEVABLE. Please save your money, and if you have children, this place is no place for them to live. I'm so dissapointed, and the sad part is that this complex used to be very nice from what I'm told. Not anymore

Just when I thought I was having a pleasant experience with Sync at Perimeter It went downhill. First it started earlier in my lease with my vehicle being booted wrongfully AS A RESIDENT then fast forward to this month I was charged a late fee on my rent after I paid the the rent in full but before the late fee was added. They still charged me anyway. I contacted the leasing office to see if they could solve this discrepancy but you always get passed around from this person to that person which leads to false promises about callbacks and all. I had to call 4 times about this situation ALONE. As far as a solution they told me there is nothing that they could do about it. Which is the EXACT same thing they said about refunding me for the boot charge earlier in my lease so if you don't want that to be a normal answer for you and most concerns with your apartment. DONT MOVE HERE

I think the property management company is the make or break factor in whether you love/hate your apartment. In my case, Matrix Residential is the best team I've ever worked with. They take care of all my concerns, the maintenance/facilities staff are quick to respond and everyone is really nice! 5 stars, I would stay in another Matrix property. 1 thing, this is a 6 story building, not a high-rise. You will hear your neighbor above you.
I have resided at the Citizen for about 6 months. Maintenance and management are great. The residents can sometimes be inconsiderate, but the management does try very hard to respond to concerns and ensure the place is tidy. Location is also very convenient. Biggest qualm with the apartment community is the poor sound-proofing (I can't speak for all units, as some might have better insulation than mine). The construction outside across Hammond frequently wakes me up, even though I'm on the opposite side of the building; and in general, the windows are not well-insulated (I can hear talking outside the window if people are standing at the dog station. I hear cars passing in the driveway behind the building- all common noises, but insulation is so poor that I hear even everything). Insulation between units is not good either- my downstairs neighbor is frequently upset at my washing machine. Nothing I can do about it since I have to wash my clothes, and I try not to wash late at night, but he frequently hits my floor/his ceiling or turns his music up loud, which I can hear beneath my apartment, in retaliation of my washing machine being on. There is also a howling dog either in the apartment next to mine or beneath mine that frequently wakes me up early in the morning (not sure if this is due to poor sound-proofing or the dog being really loud, but either way, it's very disruptive). Anyway, there have been very few nights/mornings in which my sleep hasn't been disturbed by noise. I try earplugs but they frequently fall out and aren't comfortable to sleep in; I shouldn't need to sleep with earplugs every night when rent is quite high per sq. ft at this complex.
Overall, great apartment. Staff is very good and it seems management has been actively trying to fix any issues. Amenities are very nice. Parking is a little limited, you might have to park at the top of the deck if you don't get home early. Construction isn't the best, but it looks fine for the most part. I can hear my neighbors above. Layouts are good. Tenants seem pretty diverse (20/30 somethings, some families, some retirees). Maintenance staff is on top of it. Walkable to Publix, a few restaurants, and MARTA.
. After moving from a house to an apartment, Citizen Perimeter has made me feel as though I truly live in a luxury resort suite and not an apartment. The professionalism of the leasing staff and the maintenance crew is admirable and totally amazing. The maintenance crew will blow your mind with their knowledge and efficiency. For example, I put in a service request for my dishwasher on Friday night at 10:00 P.M. By 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning my dishwasher was being serviced by the maintenance staff. This efficient and timely attention to repairs has been consistent for the entire 8 months I have lived here (from changing the filters, setting the hot water heater, plunging the toilet, to repairing the dishwasher, and even replacing a screw in the blinds). The valet trash pick-up 5 nights a week is awesome. Trash is picked up right outside your door. There is more... if you want happy hour, they are held on a regular basis, either here on the property or at local restaurants, such as Capital Grill. Brunches are held in the gorgeous club room. Parties galore, such an a super duper pool party this past summer that was filled with events and prizes for everyone (and lots of good food, too). The courtyard area has a relaxing waterfall, a fabulous fire pit, and of so many tables, chairs, couches with pillows, benches with pillows and a grill. The pool area is definitely one seen at resorts...pool, chairs, recliners, place to play frisbee or bocce, cabanas, and two large grills. I feel safer here than I did in my house...gated and covered parking, call box for entry into the building, and an onsite Sandy Springs policeman. If all of the above isn't enough there is one more super important advantage to living at 1125 Hammond Dr....location, location, location.
This is a very peaceful and luxurious place. It's nice to relax out on the patio and listen to the waterfall outside. The staff and maintenance team is on top of everything. I love this place.
My husband and I moved in here about a year ago while the east building was still under construction. The first 4-6 months there were several issues due to construction: fire alarm went off multiple times per week, ant invasion, elevators out of service, certain areas closed off, etc. Since construction was completed things have quieted down. Some amenities have not been kept up as advertised: no more continental breakfast, beverage station frequently out of items, TVs on cardio equipment don't work, few fitness classes. Management has recently started spending money replacing flooring in hallways, which was not damaged or old. As with most apartments, there is neighbor noise. It seems to be particularly bad here because the apartments have little carpeting to absorb the sound. On the plus side - there are resident events almost weekly and staff does a good job trying to get people involved. Staff are also friendly and helpful. Pool area is nice and well-maintained. The proximity to MARTA makes it very easy to get downtown or to the airport.
I just moved in here a few days ago and couldn't be more impressed. Going through a divorce is very painful, especially the moving part. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. I've lived in apartments before when I was a bit younger and this place really impresses me in terms of the gym, pool, social events, staff etc..
We were told that it is not completely built but that we could rent-out some that were completed or get a reservation on that which was not - at that time they believed that it would only be a few months left until everything was complete, as they designed it. It was a very nice place, the location was not ideal for our purposes, but the neighborhood had the report of being low crime and up-scale; thus way the prices were out of our budget range; but it would difinatly be a place we might consider in the future, if we remain in the area.
