If I could give zero star, I would. You can rarely get anyone on the phone in the office and the office management has changed multiple times a year at one point. Cars are broken into regularly, and the management does as little as possible; they do not accept any responsibility. The rent continues to go up and the services provided have lessened. My REGISTERED vehicle has been towed TWICE during my stay at Sync since 2021. The gates are always broken. The call boxes are always broken. The office management merely provides excuses and shuns accountability. It is a ridiculously managed property, and you should do yourself a favor and keep looking for another place to stay.
Save yourself the time and money and look elsewhere. The prices here are crazy high for the quality of this complex. I’ve lived here for 2 years now and can’t wait to get out. Would not recommend.

I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I have been a resident here for three years, but since the new management took over about a year ago, everything has gone downhill. One of the worst experiences I had was when my car was towed on January 30, 2023, while I was out of town for work because I had a "flat tire." Most people don't even realize they have a flat tire, but apparently, that was enough to get my car towed. I had to pay $400 to get my car back, not to mention the hassle of finding a mobile mechanic (not cheap if you're familiar with this service) to go to the tow company with me to fix the tire on an extremely cold and rainy night - it was the worst experience ever. It was disgusting and ridiculous to think my car was towed on one of the coldest days in Dallas, the day the entire city shut down. I tried reaching out to the management and corporate office, but no one seemed to care about my situation. They just gave me the run-around, and I felt like I was being ignored. Please refer to the email that someone from the corporate office sent me, stating that a regional manager would call me. The email was dated February 7, 2023, and as of today, March 25, 2023, I have yet to receive a call. I gave them well over a month to rectify the situation, but no one cared. So, I decided to write this review to warn prospective tenants considering this apartment complex. My vehicle was towed during leasing office hours, and this is a gated community, so there's no way this was done without the knowledge of the office. The receipt from the tow company clearly shows that the tow was authorized by Sync. I think it's disgusting that the property manager called me to tell me that this was done by the towing company without their knowledge. Mind you, I didn't get a call back from her until I started copying the corporate office in the emails I sent. A courtesy call or warning would have been more ideal, but they care more about the cut they're getting from the tow company. This is not the kind of service I expect from a place where I pay rent every month. I would let your future tenants decide if this is a fair treatment. It makes sense why most tenants are moving out, and the lease renewal rate is low. I used to love living here, but now I can't wait to move out. I hope this review helps others who are considering moving in here to think twice before doing so.

SYNC Residential & Sync West Dallas have still done NOTHING to compensate or right the mold situation that we lived in on their property for 10 Months. After 6-8+ formal complaints. I was sick for months. Couldn’t sleep or breathe, was getting terrible skin rashes. As soon as we moved out, I started feeling better. While mold detox is a long road, getting out of there immediately was the best choice for my health. Our requests are very reasonable, and they refuse to cooperate. Sharing so prospective residents know to avoid like the plague & so current residents can be aware of their own health. If you think it’s allergies, it might be mold toxicity. Which is nothing to take lightly.
I am currently a resident at the Alexan West. While I do like the staff and complex; they aren't able to ensure theft will not occur in the complex. I have had the misfortune of having my car stolen (directly from the garage) as well as the catalytic converter stolen multiple times out of my car. It is unfortunate that the complex is not able to ensure safety; due to this I do not recommend this complex or any in the area until the criminal activity subsides.
Location and the amenities are what I love about AWD! I would recommend this place to friends!

It was great when I first moved in two years ago then the office staff changed and things started going downhill quickly.
The package retrieval system is horrible. I’ve lived in this apartment for several months and have to call the customer service system for Luxor-one multiple times. The locker doors do not open efficiently. The property owners are not held liable, so anything thing missing or stolen is not their fault. I would expect this during Christmas but, we are in August. There are locker doors open with my neighbors items.
Offers many amenities and tenant friendly options. Perfect location, great appliances and counter tops....I have the best bathroom layout in Dallas!
The staff and community residents have been welcoming. The features inside the apartment are of great quality, and my kids and I love all of the amenities.

The Amenities here are wonderful and the staff is warm and welcoming. I moved from a small town to the big city and this place has made the experience worth the move for sure. I couldn't wait to show my family and friends my new digs lol.
Poor water quality in the area, high bacterial counts. The bad water causes junk to accumulate in the fridge’s water dispenser and any standing water will start growing bacteria that is visibly red/pink. So beware! Don’t drink the water. You can bring your pitbull, there is a breed restriction that isn’t enforced. I love pitbulls, so I had no issue with them, more so the lack of policy enforcement. No parking enforcement either, visitors park in the resident area, leaving crappy parking after 7pm. Convenient location to access downtown, so that was a plus. Also not many residents clean up after their pets, and nothing happens.

Our maintenance team also works diligently to keep our hallways and community as a whole as clean as possible. I understand that sometimes neighbors have accidents with their pets and that can be extremely frustrating for others. Please know that we try our hardest to catch these accidents in a timely manner and address it with the violator whenever possible. We have implemented a system where only residents should be parking behind the gated area and we do monitor the garage to address any unauthorized vehicles. I have had nothing but positive experiences since I moved in, even when things have gone wrong! The facility and staff is amazing.
I have never had an issue in my apartment taken care of so quickly and efficiently. The maintenance staff is amazing and so friendly; I felt like I was in good hands throughout the whole process.
The staff is excellent and very personal. I love the amenities as well. Will have been nice to have a higher quality construction (leaking shower as a design error, cabinets that break easily, etc.)
Would not recommend due to the security part and guest friendliness. Never did consider how you let your guests into the building or delivery of food. Making the apartments accessible through the garage without needing access key. All you need is gate code or enter through the gate when open and you are able to move freely in to the apartments.
I would recommend this apartment not only because rhe amenities, the Location is also a big factor. On the other hand, I would not recomend this location if the rent prices increase considerably. I?ve really have enjoyed my experience so far and Im looking forward on renewing my lease.

I would, it is beautiful, worth every penny, and the price reflects what you get in square footage and amenities. We love it
The location of the apartment complex is perfect; you still have the option of spending time in the heart of the city but you also have a totally different community surrounding you, which is refreshing. The apartment amenities are superb to say the least and the front office staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I had such a good vibe from when I went in to tour it left a very pleasant taste.
To be honest I have never been to an apartment complex to where the staff was so personable. My boyfriend and I were leaning towards two other places and by the time we made it home we chose to rent with Alexan West Dallas not only because of their amenities but for how they made us feel VERY welcomed.
There needs to be more options around our community. Grocery stores are not close and there is not much else going on. If I wasn't in a last minute situation for an apartment I think I would have continued on with something else.
The management staff is the main reason for all of these 10's I have given. I would be very disappointed if Lincoln sold the property and the staff were to change. I also hope the rents do not shoot up next year because this area is still being developed and will not warrant a spike in rental rates. If it is too high I will most likely have to move. Other properties are shooting up next door too and will hopefully provide competition to keep the rents under control. Great property though and props to Lincoln!
I really like the Luxor lockers and the dry cleaning service. It's very convenient. There is also plenty of parking and the amenities are amazing.
The parking is scarce which is not a good recommendation. Also everywhere else I have lived they have valet trash when I pay for a "trash fee."
Good value and location. Some building features look cheap like the apartment floors and the walls are very thin you can hear you neighbors talk.
Such a great community to live at! The staff is amazing and the events are top notch. I absolutely love calling Alexan West Dallas home! I am positive if I referred a friend they would feel the same way.
