Property Ratings at Tamarak Apartments
I lived in Tempe for 4 years and at Tamarak for 2 of those years and these apartments were easily the best I lived at in Arizona. Clean and comfortable rooms that were perfect for my living arrangement working and going to school in a nice neighborhood that never got too noisy. The apartments were surprisingly spacious even for just the one bedroom models especially compared to other apartments in the same price range. Tamarak’s close by to the lightrail and right next to a bus route so transportation is convenient. Plus there’s some great restaurants close by. Major props to the management at Tamarak, they are fantastic. Very attentive and easy to get a hold of. They take good care of their property and it really shows. Free community internet, grill, pool, and pest control were made available and taken care of. Everyone working at Tamarak are very friendly and reasonable people. I’ve lived at some apartments with really awful management before, so Tamarak’s management was a godsend for me. A+ all around for these apartments.
These are nice apartments. Mr. White is gentleman and is a really good person. The apartments are spacious, clean, elegant and quite stylistic in comparison to the other within same price range. The management is responsive - they will go out of their way to ensure that your stay is comfortable. Insecticide control, pool, community grills, any complaints, free internet everything under control. Nice place to live real close to the light rail and right on the Orbit Mercury route. Food City and 7 eleven near by, so are the gas stations and ASU is a 10 min cycle route.
Not a bad place to stay. Given the lack of amenities, you basically pay much more compared to other costs of accessing those amenities outside of apartment complex! The payment system is outdated, you basically have to keep your own records about payment information and management is clueless about their communication with residents. Its not everyday that management is unreasonable, but occasionally (and recently a lot) management tends to not communicate properly, take things for granted, and have no decency in the way they interact with tenants. Absolute no sense of time for interaction during weekdays. Many a times, office is closed at 4:30 even though the timings say they are open till 5, which makes it hard for working professionals to clarify issues with management. And management has no sense of keeping proper records. All they do when they mess-up communication is shout and yell at tenants than amicably resolving the issue by providing further clarification. Tip: Whatever you talk to the management, take their signature with agreement on paper. (I faced this issue, I had a rental agreement, and I had to give in to their demands and pay extra rent later!).

My husband and I lived here together for a year before we had to move out of state. When we moved back to Arizona, we came right back! His family has been living in these apartments for years. We love the location, the management, and the apartments! This time we got a two-bedroom, two-bath. It's perfectly spacious and comfortable. I love the amount of natural light we get in our apartment from the placement of the windows-- I've lived in other places that just don't compare. We also have a decent-sized patio, which is great during the fall/winter months when it is cool enough to relax outside. I haven't used the pool, but it always looks clean. I usually see other tenants enjoying it. Lastly, the management is great. They are responsive and understanding. We'll be sad to leave if we ever have to move again!
This place is very quiet. There are not parties like other apartments nearby. Most people there are families, some are students. It is near the university, about 15 minutes riding. The landlord is very nice and always willing to help. I spent about three years and a half there and I love this place.
The place is quite and the location is close to ASU and Tempe Marketplace, but the neighbors are crazy! The landlords are sweet and very understanding. The only set back is the neighbors and sometimes there are a few parties here and there, but hardly ever. Cool place.
I rented here while in college at ASU then graduated moved away. I returned to AZ for work and first place i looked at to rent again.. Kitchen, living room, bed rooms are decent size plus a screened in patio makes a nice addition. The complex has a prime location; close to Tempe Marketplace, bus line, the Tempe Orbits system, and few blocks away from Light Rail station. My maintenance service requests were completed same day and having on-site management makes it nice and give you peace of mind as well. The complex has a mix of residents; graduate students, young professionals, and families making it a unique environment. A friend and a co-worker have come by to visit and later rented apartments because of area, amenities, and overall nice living environment. I would recommend living here. I am going on now 11 years.
Lived in this apartment for 8 years... My son has all his childhood memories growing up here k-6th grade... We outgrew the space as he got older and I outgrew my closet space:) Wendy is the best! She is very attentive to the tenants needs, and also extends a great helping hand, which is rare... The maintenance guy, Scott is very knowlegeble and will fix any issues, quickly and professionally... I was so sad to part ways but a bigger space was calling our names....
