Property Ratings at Tapestry Bocage
Tapestry has a modern facade, but this doesn’t meaningfully contribute to the quality of life you would have as a resident. I lived in Tapestry Bocage between 2021 and 2022 and ended up breaking my lease to move elsewhere due to poor management experience and my large dog getting consistently sick when playing in their dog run. They intentionally make communication with the front office difficult by hiding property email addresses and leveraging their contractors as middle-men for communication, even though any discretion falls entirely with the property management. If you don’t expect anything to go wrong, Tapestry Bocage is on the pricier side for what it delivers. However, expect any issue to be mishandled and poorly communicated.

I was a resident of Tapestry Bocage for about 2.5 years and really enjoyed living there. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and very nice apartments!
I loved this place. I rented a one-bedroom apartment on the third floor for my wife and me. I liked the apartment's size; it was not the smallest but neither the biggest if I remember well. All the apartment features, like the appliances, carpet, colors, etc., were in great condition. I had trouble with the dishwasher one day, but they replaced it immediately. The walls were pretty sound-proof, with the apartments on the side. You can still hear sound from the outside, but I have no complaints of my neighbors have made excessive noise. The complex was fairly new when I moved-in in 2017. When I left in 2021, the place was in the same great conditions. The parking lot was big enough for all the tenants. I never had issues finding a spot. The gym is small, but still, you could find it just for you at some times of the day. I used to play ping-pong almost every night when I arrived in the rec area. They have a nice pool table too. Almost every weekend, I grilled some rib-eye or beef fajita and watched games or movies in the grilling area. The staff was the best thing about the Tapestry Bocage. Jordan was there when I arrived, then Clay joined, and finally, Mayte arrived (not sure if in that order). We love Mayte; she is the best. Always kept the place the best of Baton Rouge. Mayte and Sheree also organized the best community parties: Halloween, Great Gatsby theme, Crawfish boil. She is the perfect combination of friendly / but always enforcing the building rules. Jay and Terrance are lifesavers; they helped me so often and kept the place like new. The vibe of this place is extraordinary. There were a diverse group of people living at Tapestry Bocage. At the parties, I saw university students, a wide range of people working in distinct fields, families with kids and pets, and seniors. I always had great conversations with all of them. The place is very safe; I never felt in danger or alone. I must confess that I lost my credit card in the parking lot, and people were kind enough to take it to the front desk. In summary, I recommend this place. I felt welcome and coming back home after work was the best part of my day. I moved-out for job reasons, and my only complaint is that they set the bar too high for the next places where I have to live.
After having lived at multiple apartment complexes in the last 20 years, Tapestry Bocage is where I plan on staying as my permanent residence. The facilities are the most luxurious in BR. The apartment entrances are inside like a hotel, so getting to my unit is done in comfort (especially in the summer when it's 100 degrees outside). Also there are multiple elevators making it even easier to get to my apartment. The units are very spacious with unique and cool floor plans. The stainless steel appliances are great but I really love the washer and dryer that's included in each apartment. Also, they have the nice wooden blinds on all the windows instead of those cheap metal ones most complexes have. My wrap around balcony is easily the biggest I've had at any of my previous homes. The best thing about living here though is the community. It's a smaller complex, so you get to know your neighbors, especially at all of the great community functions they have. Since I've been here they've had crawfish boils, king cake parties, a great halloween costume party, and a really nice Christmas party. Unfortunately covid has limited the events right now, but I've been assured after everything gets back to normal, the get togethers are going to resume. Even without the community parties, the other amenities are outstanding. Between the game room (with a pool table and ping pong, which I challenge anyone on ??), the nice clean gym, and of course the really pretty swimming pool and deck, the sense of a close knit community is easy to assimilate into. The last thing I want to mention is the staff that works here. I've never seen a team bend over backwards to help out with everything like they do here. Mayte and Sheree have to be the most friendly and helpful managers I've ever dealt with at any apartment and Jay and Terrance are always eager to help with any maintence issue that arises with the biggest smiles in the industry. I really can't say enough nice things about all of them. I love living here, and plan on being a resident at Tapestry Bocage for a long time.
I CANNOT say enough good things about Tapestry Bocage. I had terrible experiences at two different apartment complexes in Baton Rouge so I was very hesitant when we moved in. All of my concerns were unnecessary. Mayte and all other employees at Tapestry went above and beyond for their residents. I also wanted to mention Jay, he's the best! He was always very helpful when we had maintenance items that needed to be addressed. Management hosted several resident events (crawfish boil in the summer and jambalaya served during hurricane Barry! Are you kidding me? So awesome!) Moving out was SO incredibly easy. No unexpected charges whatsoever. If you are considering Tapestry Bocage for your next apartment, you will NOT be disappointed.

Jessica, thank you so much for this fantastic and thorough review! We're so happy to hear that you look back fondly on your time in the community and we were able to turn around your bout of bad luck in Baton Rouge. It was a real treat getting to know you and we hope you are doing well!
I loved living here! The apartments were nice and open with nice finishes. The amentities are awesome and I loved the gym, outdoor kitchen area and the pool. I loved this property because you feel like you’re part of a community! It’s quiet and the neighbors and staff are very friendly. The staff is very concerned about your expirience there and have been amazing to work with. If my plans to buy a house fall through, I’ll move back :)

We loved living at Tapestry! Clean, convenient, great responsiveness from Management. Walking distance from great restaurants and parks, etc. Best apartment we’ve ever lived in!
The location is nice. It is in the middle of Baton Rouge, but they are not worth the price. The walls are paper thin. Sounds like your neighbor is in your apartment. You can hear doors slammed down the hall. You can hear your neighbor talk and walk. The elevator smells like dogs because there are plenty of them getting on and off of it. The location is about the only good thing. They share the driveway with Panera Bread, which until recently, was the only way in and out, which was difficult. If you’re one who enjoys being home, this may not be the place if you’re sensitive to noise. Staff isn’t all that, but they’ll do. Very overall price. A lot of people have moved out since I’ve been here because of that. I can’t wait until I’m gone.
This has been my best experience with an apartment. I used to live in an apartment in Gonzales, but I was looking to get connected better in the Baton Rouge city. The property manager was such a delight, very helpful. She only showed me what I was interested in (1BR/BH) I can't thank her enough for taking so much time and care to make sure my needs were addressed. The gym is terrific, great cardio machines to use and all the equipment needed to get a great workout and stay out of the crowded gyms. The pool along with the entertainment area is top notch. This entire property, from the apartment to the staff is wonderful.
This is my first experience in an apartment and so far it has been so wonderful! I used to live in a town house but I was looking to downsize. I wanted something new. The manager at the property, Jessica, helped make me feel comfortable with my decision. She did not hesitate to show me any and all the apartments I wanted to see and it helped make my decision even easier. I knew that if I lived here I would be taken care of by her! Aside from the beautiful apartments and amenities, she is the reason I chose to live here. And now she has help with Jordan and she is just as wonderful as Jessica. The apartments are laid out so great with all the little touches that you can't find anywhere else! Stainless steel appliances and a brand new washer and dryer make this place feel like luxury. The outdoor living area is to perfect and unique and it overlooks the pool which is gorgeous in itself. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for an apartment in Baton Rouge!
This place is so cheaply built you will hear every noise. There are no security fences or gates, there have already had several vehicle burglaries. The parking spots are so far from the doors you will get soaked in every rain. There are no lights in the parking lots, even the site Police officers said they were scared to go outside at night. There is only one tiny green space and that's for dogs. The floors are 80% laminate including the living room, kitchen, hall ways and bathrooms. If someone lives above you, it's ridiculously loud. The washers and dryers are extremely loud because of this fact as well. They do not clean the apartments before you move in, the walls cabinets, everything is covered in new construction dust.Property management does nothing to address tenant complaints. The apartments are so small you can only buy/use apartment sized furniture. The complex has elevators that you must use to move in or bring up groceries/other items to your apartment but they provide no means of carts to assist. The traffic getting into or out of the complex is horrible. The Panera Bread Restaraunt is in the same parking lot as the complex and 18 Wheeler deliveries come and go at all hours, the drives never turn trucks off and the backup alarms will wake you 2-3 times a week in the night. For the money, you can easily rent a nice house in a nice neighborhood.
