Located south of Detroit, Downriver refers to a vast collection of cities and townships nestled alongside the western banks of the Detroit River. Among the 18 communities considered to be part of Downriver are Taylor, Romulus, Allen Park, Southgate, and Trenton.
Northern Downriver communities tend to be more suburban whereas the southern Downriver communities are more rural. Residents throughout the region enjoy the area’s ample opportunities for outdoor recreation along the river, including activities like fishing, boating, and birdwatching, in addition to hiking the extensive network of trails in the area. Downriver is especially popular among commuters for its proximity to Downtown Detroit and multiple major highways.

Property Ratings at Taylor Park Townhomes
Taylor park townhomes sit back from Goddard by 1 block but the beautiful grounds and park make you feel a world away. Everyone is nice and respectful and the office staff are great. I highly recommend living here.
Beth (office Manager) accommodated me in all the needs by following through in a timely matter when I needed her. A homely, family atmosphere, neighbors were respectful. Staff was on point to help me.
It's a nice place to live. Been here almost 7yrs. Nice staff and the Manager Beth is a sweetheart real nice lady. Maintenance guys are good and fix stuff when needed quick for you.
This was the first place my boyfriend and I had ever moved into. We are currently ages 20-21 and we’ve been here since the end of February. I won’t lie, when we first moved in, there was a few problems with ants. We got rid of them and been good since. We have had amazing neighbors, and one in particular is the friendliest lady ever. Only physical problems with the apartments was doors getting off the tracks on the slides but that’s it. Nobody fights, nobody yells, the most noise disturbance is when a shower starts. Nobody disturbs anyone, and with it being right behind the police station and by the State Police, it’s a great spot. Close to Heritage Park, a Meijer, Kroger, Walmart, restaurants, it’s great. Office is very nice when you need them, haven’t contacted maintenance yet but they’re always out and about doing things. If you’re looking for an affordable place to be your first, this place is pretty good. It’s not all stars and fairy dust but it definitely does the job.
IF YOU LOVE MICE & ANTS THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! The management is terrible a week after staying here it was a pile of ants in my kitchen & all they do is come put ant bait down which doesn’t work.... A month later From moving in I seen a mouse run under my stove!!! Since then I’ve seen over 10 mice in which they’re coming through my living room heater!! I took the heater plate off and it’s a hole going outside where more ants are coming in & the mice are coming In & Out My Home I checked my other heaters and they also had holes in them as well... Maintenance had the nerve to say “They’re just Farm Mice they won’t hurt you” And their “solution” to the problem was caulking the hole in which didn’t solve anything because here we are in August and the mice are BACK!!!! OH and my neighbors are having the same problem! If I could rate this place ZERO stars I would! Save your Time & Hard earned money!
Ive lived here for 2 years now and I love it. Maintenance handles whatever problem you have right away and the ladies in the office are very professional. They do a great job with keeping up with the complex. There's no rift raft going on. Its peaceful. The only thing I wish they had were dishwashers, but I love it here. I plan on renewing for another year but upgrading to the three bedroom.
As soon as I went for a tour of the the 2 bedroom townhomes I knew this was the place for me!
