Palmer is a scenic Newport News neighborhood situated on the Virginia Peninsula, between the James River and the Chesapeake Bay. Palmer’s diverse landscape includes commercial corridors and industrial areas, as well as an array of residential communities brimming with apartments available for rent.

Great location. Love the outdoorsy feel with the trees! Makes you feel cozy! The office staff is friendly and they had a great pool party for us a couple of weeks ago.

I enjoy the location, with easy access to I64 and Jefferson. There is a dog park i frequently use with plenty of room for my dog to run and play. Maintenance and management have been quick to respond to any issues or requests with good communication and understanding. My a/c unit needed to be replaced and i was given a temporary unit until the replacement could be complete, i was very happy with the concern the crew had with correcting the a/c. When the dryer was broken, we were given a new HE unit that is exceptional. After being here for 3 years the complex has improved with the new management and maintenance crew. The kitchen is on the small side but furnished with stove dishwasher and microwave, over all happy with Tech Center Square, thank you to the current management and maintenance!!
Great location, good with upkeep, very attentive to service and maintenance requests.
Within the last few months, we've gotten a new property manager. Prior to this change, we've had no issues with the community. The maintenance staff have been quick and thorough, and the front desk staff have always been hospitable and helpful. The only ongoing issues that we'd had were in situations where the former property manager was personally involved. Unfortunately, shortly after this new manager took the position, we had an issue with an outside contractor illegally moving our vehicle in their hurry to lay some concrete nearby. While this issue was entirely outside of the property manager's control, she was accommodating and exceedingly helpful in resolving the issue. We're satisfied, and happy that we live in a community where we can rely on the property manager.

All the amenities are fake. The fire pit doesn't work and the community grill is locked behind the gate 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Nice apartment, professional staff, like able maintanence, but bug problem.

My initial experience here at Tech Center was wonderful. The leasing office staff were very polite. My apartment was cleaned and ready for my move. I could not be more please with my new home.

Overall its a great place to live and its located in a great area
The worst apartments, ever. Great location, near shops and the interstate, but that's ALL they have going for them. The units are old, poorly maintained, poorly insulated (enjoy your $200/month utility bills!), and the maintenance department is as useless as the people in the office who write your complaints down but don't fix anything or follow up. Be prepared to wait MONTHS and complain MULTIPLE times about broken items and/or appliances in your unit before they're jerry rigged by the maintenance staff. Be prepared to go to the office and repeat your complaints over and over. Be prepared for terrible parking - neighbors leaving vehicles on jack stands, bad tags and inspections taking spaces for months. And only the office, who does nothing, can have a vehicle towed. Be prepared for copious drug use, late night loud parties, and unleased dogs. Be prepared for complaints about same to the office being ignored. Be prepared for frequent office staff turnover with the only one there that's been awhile calling out constantly and being as useless as the maintenance staff. Our neighbors constantly complain about this stuff too but we don't care anymore because we're moving! Absolutely a waste, go somewhere else. Like anywhere else. Live in your car.

I just renewed my Lease for a second term. The property has its ups and downs. The entire staff is super friendly and is always ready to help a lending hand. All my work orders are always taken care of. The property is a little on the older side, but that adds to it charms.
Roach, ant, and fungal infestations within 6 months of moving in. Deceptive practices and poor communication from the manager.

Not held to the same standards surrounding apartments are. You sacrifice luxury for location. Location is good but not worth what you have to pay for what you live in. Front office employees treat you great until you move in. They do not hold there end of the deal. Cannot wait to move out.
