Property Ratings at TelaVerde Apartments
Simple move-in, no neighborly problems, love the space though minor and I mean minor work to the floors and outlets, but overall I love it!
My mom lives here and I came to visit and disgusted by the roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. Looking for a new place for her to live right now.
Maintenance takes forever. When they show up, they do the least. They will leave messes behind, never tell you that they were in your apartment, leave their personal belongings there and dirty handprints all over. Management will lie to your face, but they won't answer emails so you have nothing in writing. It took maintenance a month to swap out my washing machine with one out of a vacant apartment. Totally unacceptable. I have sent numerous emails but no one ever responded.
The managers here couldn’t care less about their residents and it’s reflected in their inability to pick up the phone, response time, and how quickly they resolve issues. I’m left the complex a month ago and yet I’m still having issues getting my security deposit back because of complications with the management. Also there are roaches scattered all throughout the property.
Don’t live here. There are much bette places in the area. Management doesn’t care about the residents. They are as fake as they come. Maintenance is slow, buildings are old , parking is terrible. Just an awful experience. Worst place I have ever rented. Can’t wait to move out.
DO NOT LIVE HERE I leased for 6 months because this is my first apartment and I didn’t wanna do a year lease just in case I didn’t like it. These apartments have roaches , they come from the sinks and all the little cracks that are in the cabinets and on the floor. When I moved in and they were showing us the unit the door was already unlocked and we thought it was the cleaning ladies THERE WERE TWO RANDOM PEOPLE IN THERE SAYING THAT THEY ARE JUST “checking the place out” after that I looked around and it didn’t even look like the place had been cleaned. The bathrooms looked fond but the floors and the stove? The stove had this weird oily residue and the floors where black every time I mopped for the first couple of days. The counter tops have some type of residue on them too. Anything that I put on the counters in the bathroom/kitchen sticks to it and rips off the paint of the counters. If I leave papers on the counter they get stuck too and when I try taking them off the paper rips and stays stuck. I also feel like they slap on a bunch of fees after they tell u utilities included. Management is nice but just the price I’m paying to live here... it’s ridiculous. On top of that they want u to replace the drip pans on the stove and also get a professional carpet clean when u move out. That definitely wasn’t done when I moved in. I never complain and I really try to be understanding but all of my family members even tell me it’s not worth it :/
my friend lives here. And there’s literally roaches every time I go over. Gross. Thank god she’s moving out. Don’t move here. Read the reviews before you move anywhere. She stuck with roaches until February when her lease is up. So sad. Management you should really fix this problem, would you like to be sitting with roaches in the leasing office? NO. So don’t make others sleep with them.

Hi, Please have your friend reach out to the front office so that we can assist. 602-978-0025
Very friendly staff, met many nice people. It has been nice
I didn't live here long but from what neighbors say that have lived here long that management is constantly changing, hot tub and some amenities were out of service but the new management stepped in and fixed them in a timely manner. Trash is an issue here with residents throwing trash wherever they want. Hot water is an ongoing issue, and electricity goes out frequently. Homeless are pouring in faster in the area and tend to wander around at night and steal. It has good and bad but I wouldnt move back.
I went to the complex today for a showing. I arrived at 4:45 PM, but there was a sign indicating the front office was closed. Multiple people were waiting at that point. At approximately 5 PM, the office reopened and several individuals that had been waiting prior to my arrival were helped. The remaining individuals waiting were not recognized/greeted. Unfortunately, the front office smelled like marijuana, so I elected to wait outside with my child. I waited until there was an opportunity to speak to the representative. It was 5:25 PM at that point. I asked to view an apartment, and she said that showings ended at 5:30 and although it wasn't 5:30 yet it was close enough. She asked me to make an appointment for the following day. I indicated that I had been waiting since 4:50 PM and asked if she'd seen me. She threw her pen down and said, "Fine, I'll show you an apartment." I opted to leave at that point.
It was great before the new management came now they charge you extra and won't answer your calls... shady... bring your business else where
Worst place that I've lived in when I lived here. Glad I moved out. People break into your car constantly, management is terrible, rocks get thrown into your apartment windows, no security, not gated, tons of drug addicts live here, I could go on. Not a place to live especially if you have children. Thumbs down ??
I have lived here since 2009, and lived here previously for two or three years. It is a good complex, with two malls within 5 miles (Arrowhead & Metro Center). It is right across from ASU West, and has banks and grocery shopping all within 1 mile. It is also right on a park and ride (bus) and where two bus lines meet. That being said, when I first moved back here in 2009, I would have rated it a 3 at best. Loud neighbors, trash everywhere, grounds a mess- landscapers would blow the leaves ONTO my patio! The past year, however, has shown some growth. They've upgraded many apartments, torn out and replaced the basketball court, put in a dog park (small, but can run and play with your dog off leash), and improved the pool area. Maintenance still is not the best for certain things - they have been in multiple times every year to fix my air conditioning before they FINALLY fixed it (design problem in the plumbing so not sure how much of that is their fault). But they are responsive and friendly! Pros: reasonably priced, many upgraded apartments, good access to necessities, gym (small weight room with cardio machines), excellent pool, responsive maintenance and management, as well as quiet - cement block walls between apartments minimizes much of the noise. Cons: not all apartments are upgraded, but rent on all have increased dramatically to pay for upgrades (my rent went up over $100/month and I cannot upgrade my apartment without transferring to a different apartment), dog rules not strictly enforced (many residents do not pick up after their dogs, have large dogs that they send to do their business off leash and unsupervised), and complaints about neighbors (reasonable complaints - parking/blocking assigned parking spot repeatedly, dog issues, being harassed by neighbors, loud music in the wee hours) not only not quickly addressed, but it is revealed WHO made the complaint (hence the harassment). Overall, this is a good apartment complex with complex issues. It meets my needs, and though there are flaws, the positive aspects FAR outweigh the negatives. I would, and HAVE recommended Tela Verde to my friends and coworkers.
Tela Verde Apartment Homes is a great place to live as far as apartments go. As a long-term resident, I have had wonderful experiences with management who really do care about making their residents happy. The staff seem to stay on a long-term basis so it is easy to get to know them. The turnaround time for maintenance requests has been very good and in my dealings, extremely responsive. This location also has good access to shopping, dining and highway travel. The apartments are not huge, but offer a perfect space for single individuals and small families. They offer good sized semi and private patios, and include private washers and dryers for each unit, which is definitely an added plus. They also come with ceiling fans and upgraded appliances. The only drawbacks have been frequent water and remodel interruptions, it is not gated and there is not as much resident communication as some may desire. Overall, it is a very safe and clean complex with just enough amenities to keep the rates at affordable prices. I have everything I need here to offer comfortable living at a fair market rate.
