Property Ratings at Telfair Lofts
I initially leased here due to competitive rent pricing, high quality gym, and well-maintained property. However, several issues emerged after move-in. The maintenance staff are very incompetent and complete very low quality work. To give one example, both my bathtub and bathroom sink began backing up after only a week. I showed the maintenance guy this, and he looked at me and said "that's good." I had to argue with him that, in fact, this was an issue that needed to be fixed. Additionally, there were TWO fires here in a timespan of four months. The alarm DID NOT GO OFF in either case, and management was slow to respond to both. The first fire took out several amenities (including the gym) and our rent was not adjusted accordingly. After the second fire I requested to be released from my lease, and I got a response that I would need to be out within 48 hours, which is unreasonable. On top of all this, upon moveout they are trying to charge me for carpet cleaning when I left the carpet in pristine condition. I do NOT recommend leasing with this company.
I wish there was a way to leave a ZERO star review, because that is exactly what this place deserves! When we initially moved in, everything was great... until the new propert management took over. The new team has no idea what customer service is. They make mistakes on billing and it is never their fault. The amenities are what initially attracted me to this community. 1/2 of the times they are not available due to repairs that take MONTHS to complete. I selected my apartment to me near a particular exit because let’s me honest, in the morning, I want to get out and be on the road ASAP. The exit door would stop working for one reason or another. Again, the repairs would take months and I’m not exaggerating. This would mean that the gated community, wasn’t really gated if alternative exits/entrances were left open. Picked a 4th floor apartment because why not? They have elevators! Little did i know that elevators would be out for TWO months before repairs were completed. They were alway “waiting on parts”. The final straw: two fires due to electrical issues in the attic. The first fire resulted in closing of the common areas. But hey, that wasn’t enough. The second fire was even worse and Apartments were impacted as well. No thank you very much! I am outta here. Of course the move out process was not seamless either and they pretty much treat you like trash once you have given your notice. But I was not surprised by that. Save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere where your business is valued. Where you will be treated with respect and where the management team know that importance of customer service.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! I would give this apartment complex 0 stars if I could. 2 fires in 4 months with zero answers and no help from management. The residents received an email right after the second fire saying if you would like to move to a sister property you could. They forgot to mention that you would have to pay a transfer fee of $650, administrative fee of $250, application fee of $65, a new deposit, a new pet fee and a new pet deposit if you would like to move not to mention the actual hassle of moving and transferring my child to a different school district since they don’t have a sister property in the same district. Or I could just break my lease for the low, low price of $4,550. Apparently the safety of my teenage daughter and dog mean nothing to the management company as long as they get their rent check on time. I also love how the manager said no you can just move to the other properties without paying then I was put on hold and she came back after talking to the regional manager and said no you have to pay all of the fees and deposits. My recommendation is if you see Francis Property Management run in the opposite direction as fast as you possibly can!!! ????? ??
The apartments are nice, but they are pretty expensive. That would be okay with me if the staff were friendlier. Since the new management has taken over, I have felt less and less at home. Jackie and Gina have been there from the beginning (under the old management) and have always been kind and welcoming, but I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. The front desk (aside from Jackie and Gina) could not care less about you once you have signed. The "security officer" has almost run me over and has been incredibly rude on multiple occasions. He is arrogant and entitled for someone who sits in one spot in the parking lot all night with his lights on...We were planning to renew until recently and will be moving out. I am not a difficult resident-I pay my rent on time, am friendly, do not complain, and keep the apartment clean but I do not want to live somewhere that has an unkind staff. Their amenities are great, the appliances are updated, but unfortunately, I cannot get over being honked and cursed at (so I hope you can find another "security officer").
Nice amenities. Clean and upscale, and a lot of professionals. The only thing I really don't like is the glass flat top cooking. Gas is much better
Telfair Lofts have completely changed my opinion of apartments. Prior to living here I considered an apartment as a means to an end. A temporary living situation before moving into a house. Living at Telfair makes me want to never consider owning a home. the facilities, the property, and if you can believe it, the management. Sounds insane, I know, but, management has been ON POINT with every request, extremely timely and best of all communicative. what I like best is when they call out residents for NOT following the rules. Like leaving trash in the halls... sure we have valet trash pick up, but USE THE TRASH CAN PEOPLE, don't just lay a leaking plastic grocery bag out there to invite insects and rodents. Management doesn't pull punches and I LOVE IT... Can't say enough awesome things about this property and the management behind it. I never want to leave -
