After living here for 3 years, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was a cheap enough place to live and for that I'm grateful, but I can recount quite a few incidents where the customer service was terrible. Most recently, we came home to a hole in our ceiling (presumably from the upstairs neighbors). We called maintenance and they got someone out a couple of days later and found a bullet in our closet! They told me they were going to take it back to the office and someone would contact me. No body ever did. I finally called them and they said the manager was out and they'd get back to me the next day when the manager was in. She didn't. I had to call again later the next day to actually get someone and even then, I didn't really get any information other than that they were looking into it. They finally sent someone out to look at it more but they also didn't give us anything to go on so we were stuck living there not knowing what they heck was going on or if another bullet would find its way into our apartment. It's been almost 4 weeks since this started and they've not once called me to give me information. I've had to call them multiple times a week to see if anything is being done and to my knowledge, nothing really is! We were already planning on moving out so we asked it we could end our lease early and they didn't even bat an eye before saying no there. They haven't worked with us in any way on this really. Absolutely terrible customer experience. Sadly this is only one of many incidents I can think of where customer support has been terrible. On top of that, the place we got was not like the one we toured. I'm hoping that the renovated units don't look like ours but if you're thinking about renting try and see where you'd actually live before you sign a lease. All in all, I cannot recommend this apartment complex.

Crime is crazy . no maintenance to maintain the property. Office is the worst epically the out of control manager . they dont fix anything but dont be late on the rent. Way better places around town

We are readily available during office hours or you can call to set up an appointment at (614) 853-0710. We look forward to hearing from you.
I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. The place isn't clean, they never enforce any of the rules they say they will such as people's crap spred all around outside. Dogs poop everywhere no one cleans it up. The bushes cover the windows and are way overgrown. The pools are never open. Maintenance never fixes anything. Moved in to a broken shower and found mold, lived there two years and still have done nothing about it. (Looked at it once and said they didn't know how to take care of it, never came back) cars broken into, packages stolen from door. cars park wherever they want even people with out passes and they never park in the lines.. honestly just avoid them if you can.

I have lived in this complex for 8 years. If I was writing this review 2 years ago, it would've been a 4 or 5 star review. However, over the last 2 years, it has become unorganized, zero customer service, and not worth the decent price it costs to live here. They have put no money back into the facilities for quite some time. They are supposed to be fixing the parking lot potholes but so far I have seen one fixed. Only 1 pool out of the 3 they own will be open this year. No grills are allowed but it appears they have stopped enforcing that rule. Maintenance Requests are largely ignored until you go into the office and question when they will get done. I just paid my 11th month's rent for this term, out of those 11 months, I have had a working HVAC unit for 3 weeks total. I have put in 7 or 8 maintenance requests and nothing gets done until you go to the office and force the issue. I was told to run on backup heat the entire winter. I have been without AC for the past 2 weeks with no communication to when they will get around to fixing it. I was informed that I would need to "wait my turn" in order to get it fixed when I questioned them about it a week ago. I had no intention of moving and signing another year lease term, but they have forced me to look elsewhere, they are plenty of complexes in the area that are comparable. Please look elsewhere as this complex is just filled with unorganized staff, poor customer service, and declining facilities that do not appear to be getting upgraded anytime soon.

I have Been here for almost 3 years. My complaints are that getting out the drive way onto Hilliard-Rome Rd can be impossible to dangerous. I have seen many wrecks and near misses. I Have sat at the spot sign for up to 15 min at high traffic times waiting 4 cars deep to turn out. (4pm- 7pm seems to be the worse) Not the apartment complexes fault but i wish i knew before i picked it. There is a second exit but it can be sometimes as bad or complicated. The lawns are well maintained and so are the grounds. I have no problems with management or office staff all are helpful and friendly and when i first moved in i got to know the maintenance people quit well the first year they were in to fix things many times and they were fixed well and in a timely manner. (the previous tenant had not called about issues and just let them go). The apartments are very spacious and you can only hear loud noises(door slams) or if people are in the stairways but that is it. And now things that i don't like. People come and go a lot from these apartments. All my kitchen drawers are broken and others look like something feasted on the corners especially in the bathroom cabinet. You need to make sure you lock your car doors or other vehicles up or you will get looted. The windows let alot of cold air in get good curtains. As for the current new price I feel it is alittle high for the quality of the finishing but your paying for location.

Apartment: I chose to live at this complex as it allowed me to have both my dogs (one 60 lbs and one 90 lbs) and when I first moved there in 2014, the rent was reasonable. As new complexes have been built in the area over the last 12 - 18 months, the rent has been raised to match those newer builds. These apartments are dated and due to poor maintenance are not worth the cost that market value is currently at. Windows are drafty and not sealed well outside as they leak during heavy rain. There are roaches in the buildings and it took me spraying my apartment with Ortho Home Defense before they were no longer an issue for me. You're forced to pay rent through the website/app with a 1.95 fee. If you don't use those then you have to use western union as they will not accept checks, money orders, or cashiers checks in person. Neighborhood: I've seen some reviews mention vehicle/apartment break ins - this was not an issue for me as my dogs are protective and would bark at unusual noises outside and I do not leave items in my vehicle. Overall, it's not the worst neighborhood but there are sketchy characters around there and some garages have obviously been broken into. Close to the freeway with lots of stores and restaurants within a couple of miles. Maintenance: Reported the same issue of the upstairs showers leaking down into mine multiple times which was never fixed. Maintenance staff has extremely high turnover with new people every 6 months. Permission to enter is required when an issue is reported as they will not do appointments any longer. Office staff: Current staff is rude and act like you're an inconvenience to them. Parking: There is not enough parking available, parking lots flood when it rains and has done so in the winter causing large areas of ice making portions impassable. Residents park in the visitor spots, non-handicapped residents park in the handicap spot, and will create parking places. The flooding that occurs is high enough to get into the garages which are an extra $50 a month.
Location is very convenient for my office travel. Place is good, calm and peace of mind when at home. :)
I like it. Prompt service if any maintenance needed. I recommend.
Moved in about two months ago and so far No complaints. Very quiet in our apartment and very sweet neighbors. I called maintenance once because my AC didn't seem to be working...I left for work and he called me back within minutes, took care of my problem, and even drove by at a later time the same day to check and make sure my AC was still working well since I have a dog in the apartment. I thought that was pretty impressive. Front office staff can be forgetful with some of the beginning paperwork and things but it wasn't a bad process at all. Location is awesome, your about 15 to 20 min from everything. I think this is the nicest apartment complex in this area for sure... only catch is it's a little pricey.
We have been here for a few months. We love the complex. It is well maintained. The new management has been helpful and accessible and a welcome change.
The move in has been a great experience for us. The apartment’s location is very convenient and the staff is quick to accommodate us if we need something. It is definitely worth it.
The move in has been a fantastic experience for us. This location is definitely perfect for the entire family. The atmosphere and the surrounding are good and we have no problem with the neighborhood.
The place is definitely great. If you are looking for convenience and quality service this will definitely fit your preference. The staff are quick to accommodate to your needs and enjoy helping everyone. This place is surely worth your money.
The atmosphere of the place is calm and relaxing. I have no complaints or whatsoever with my stay. The service of the staff is good and communication is great. I recommend highly recommend this place.
I don't have any negative comments about the apartment. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The apartment is conveniently located near shops and malls, which is a plus.
We moved in a short while ago but I can already tell this place is great. The apartments are condo quality and location is very convenient. We had a few service requests upon move in that were addressed very quickly. They actually care if you enjoy living there and that means a lot. I am looking forward to living here and feel good knowing I'm getting really good bang for my buck.
I just moved into Brookview and I love it. The apartment is wonderful. The team at Brookview did a wonderful job helping me get settled in. Such a great location with malls and shops close by. The landscaping is lovely and it feels like a peaceful oasis after a long day.
We just moved in about two weeks ago and we love it. From the high ceilings, spacious bedrooms, awesome kitchen and beautifully landscaped property, we have felt right at home in our apartment. This is also a very convenient space for most everything in the area. You are about 15 minutes from just about everything. Loving it!
Absolute worst place to live! Management is extremely rude, under qualified, unprofessional and they never call you back. Maintenance is ran by a bunch of high school dropouts who think it’s OK to knock only once and then use their key and just let themselves in your apartment. Not ok!’n lots are never plowed. Lots flood a foot or more every time it rains. People’s cars have been ruined because of this. Tons of break ins. Windows busted left and right. Black mold growing in multiple units. Do not waste your time! NOT AT ALL WORTH IT
Outdated, overpriced, management is terrible and unorganized. During the winter months it’s the worst, you’d think it was a huge snow and ice storm until you get to the main road, they never plow or salt the pathways and driveways. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Some of the pet owners are lazy and disgusting. Clean up after your dogs. This place isn’t worth the money they’re asking for. Also good luck getting things fixed, maintenance comes when they feel like it and don’t remember to lock up after they leave.

Thank you for taking the time to review our community! I am very sorry to hear about your experience and hope we can have the chance to turn it around. Please email us at columbus@brookview.com so we can talk with you more.
This place is the worse!! Over ran by geese and crap every where! Visited my mother and a goose was laying in the grass with his neck broke. Called the office and told them kids were around and first time they stated they would be over but lied cause the 4th time I called (2 hours later) they stated they could not touch the geese. Kids around and emotionally asking about this animal dieing and in misery. Trash was every where in the bushes and landscape. Who does the groundskeeping? Plus the price my mother pays for a very small apartment I and terrible maintenance is not worth it.
they act friendly and nice when trying to get you to sign a lease but don't let that fool you. Once they get you in, afterwards they don't even care about how they speak to you if you call the office with questions. The apartments themselves aren't that bad but they are pretty jank overall. Wish I could move out sooner, or didn't sign a lease at all. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
If I could put a negative rating I would. First of all the customer service with those ladies at the front office was horrendous. They were rude to my wife and I on multiple occasions. Our heating and cooling system was down for almost 3 months. Non stop calls and follow ups with for the Maintance we paid for. Yet nothing was done. Multiple times the Maintance people came to fix the heater and cooler multiple times it was not done. Secondly People verbalized our cars. There's no security or security cameras. The office said it's not their fault yet it's their premises. The house was falling apart form the kitchen faucet to the toilet to the closets falling off all the time. My lease is up Thank God. I have had a horrible experience here. I would never recommend anyone to move here. Just bad. Very bad.
Don't move here! The leasing office is very disorganized and inconsiderate. They only care about getting your money.
Brookview is by far the worst most miss managed company I've ever seen. Maintenance requests go unanswered until you have to threaten putting rent into escrow account until something is fixed. Cars get broken into regularly and brookview actually had a security guard for a while but then got rid of him and his routine patrols, so now criminals have no deterrent. It's poorly lit as well perfect for crime to fester. The speed bumps will mess up your suspension, and if you drive any kind of car that is even slightly low to the ground it will scrap. Also they ask for a ton of un-needed information to obtain a parking permit (which isn't needed because even though they say they tow they don't people park without permits and not in visitor parking regularly, some don't even park in spots they just make their own. Front office is rude and un-available. You want access to the gym? Great pay an extra fee to use it. Want a pool? Nope they shut them down with no notice or explanation to residence and they don't lower your rent because "you still have access to the other communities and their pools" (which are overcrowded due to the overflow). Want to feel safe? Get your CCW. Want to store a grill outside your place? Nope they will come and throw it away. Want a laugh? Read your lease thoroughly you'll find tons of grammatical and spelling errors.
My wife and I have been living here since May 2015 and I am here to tell you this place is a dump! We have had bugs infesting our apartment for 8 months and they still have yet to fix the problem. We have a leak in our ceiling and our carpet has been soaked for a month yet nothing has been done. Worst of all, the staff in the office are rude and do not take responsibility when confronted with issues. Everyone is happy to pass the blame to someone not in the room until you leave solving nothing.
Apartments are out of date and overpriced. They promised upgrades throughout the community and never did anything at all. The front office people are rude and are clueless when it comes to customer service.
Been here for almost a year. The location is awesome! Down the street from major shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Main office crew is very helpful and friendly. Apartment itself is a decent size, clean. I think you are paying for the location. Mostly quiet, wall and door area can pick up outside sound. Beautiful surrounding area, no personal outdoor area, however. Overall, good place to live
Too small to upstairs nosiey, allows pets needs updated dont feel safe. Office staff never follos through any repairs or concerns.
Been here for 6 years and the transition was extremely smooth! Landscaping has been beautiful, maintenance guys are extremely helpful and friendly. Walking into the main office is like being at home. Comfortable and there is always a snack! Safe community for children, and trail to run is amazing!
