In many ways, Arlington’s Clarendon/Courthouse neighborhood leads a double life. On the one hand, the mix of upscale single-family homes and swanky apartments combined with the super-convenient access to Washington (just a mile away and served by multiple Metro stops) make this an ideal location for DC-area commuters seeking a more suburban home environment. The abundance of parks and playgrounds reflects the family-friendly nature of the community, and the local public schools are among the best in the region. Parts of the neighborhood also contain several corporate high-rises, giving many folks the option of walking to work.
However, Clarendon/Courthouse also has a lively, fun side. The neighborhood is generally known as the nightlife capital of Arlington – the robust bar and club scene along Clarendon Avenue attracts partiers from across the DC area on weekends.

Property Ratings at Ten at Clarendon
Sarah and lamar have helped me so much while living here at the ten! My family and kids love the location!
I lived at the Ten at Clarendon for over a year. It’s a newer building with lots of amenities, including a beautiful rooftop and a household item lending “library” (including kitchen items, sports equipment, etc). What sets the Ten apart is the staff. Sarah, the head concierge is exceptional. She knows every resident by name and helps making living there so fun. There is also a great leasing team, with a special shout out to Daneesha, that made move-in a breeze and plan great events monthly for the residents to socialize. Lamar with the maintenance team has always been excellent and timely with any maintenance concerns that have come up. You can’t go wrong with the Ten.
My wife and I got engaged on the roof if that tells you anything about our experience here. The property is fantastic and beautiful, but I want to mainly recognize how wonderful the staff here is. Viky, Chris, Sean and Daneesha have been more than staff but friends who have been beyond helpful from Day one. I hope that they are recognized for what a fantastic group they are.
First the positive: great location and front desk staff Second the negatives: apartment infested with cockroaches, walls and rooftop ceiling have zero noise insulation, unreasonable management team, unprofessional maintenances staff We rented our unit in the middle of the initial Covid outbreak, we were unable to tour the unit or building, instead we were provided a video of the apartment by Christopher, asst. manager. In the video, online photos the apartment building and unit looked like the online description as luxury Arlington living. I won't write the entire story of this nightmare here, but two pest control treatments did not resolve the roach problem. Pest company stated apartment was previously treated for roaches which management never disclosed to us. Repairs were never completed effectively and one time a maintenance person walked into our unit without giving proper notice. We moved out and let Management (Christoper and Tara) know in a long notice that the apartment wasn't a habitable and safe living space. They responded that we would be help liable for all costs of breaking the lease. We are currently in collections for several thousand dollars. Please do your homework so you don't end up living thru a nightmare like we did. I would recommend that you look at another apartment complex if you want a clean, safe building with good management team.
This building is new and in a nice location. The apartments are small and amenities are not what they claim to be on the website-- everything has an additional fee. All in all it would be a nice place to live if you're okay with the costs, but the management is truly the worst I have ever encountered. Super unresponsive, not friendly or helpful, and always looking to make extra money off you (ex. charges when they said there would not be any, weeks long response time to emails, no one in office most of day, no phone call returns). The front desk staff are usually nice, and the maintenance team is great, but living here is not worth the hassle of dealing with the management office. We moved out recently because we needed a change, and are still waiting on our full security deposit. Apparently multiple tenants (at least 4 units) were charged $250 of their $1,000, deposit despite getting an all clear at the walk through that there would be no charges, with no explanation or assistance from the management team. Just out for money, no customer service or support at all.

Pros: Nice location, apartment looks nice. Rent for me wasn’t exorbitant for the area. Cons: Finishes are cheap. Rooms are small. Worst part though is the management... Management is terrible and they don’t care about you. Front desk is useless. I used to live here (I moved out because mainly I needed more space, but the management / front desk was also a factor) and my old roommate left a tax document at the front desk for me to pick up. She made sure to tell them and attached a sticky note on it saying that I was going to pick it up. Since we both work, this was the easiest solution for both of us (even though the hours are a useless 9am-6pm for anyone who works). I went to pick it up and they lost it. He wasn’t sure what happened to it, he said he remembers seeing it on the desk, but mentioned that, depending who was at the desk, someone could’ve either thrown it away or given it to the mailman. I was told it’s not their “responsibility to hold anything” because they “don’t want to be held liable.” Then then insinuated that my ex roommate just left it at the front desk when no one was there (she did not do that - it was a tax document so it was important). So basically, if you want any sense of feeling like the apartment management cares about their residents - past, present, and future - then go somewhere else.
I’ve lived in many apartments but this is the first that provides that true home experience. This is also the first property management team I find to be extremely accommodating, understanding, and hospitable. Which is a refreshing change of pace from the blood-sucking landlords I’m accustomed to. Tara and the Ten crew do an amazing job of ensuring your stay is as pleasant an experience as possible. The building is beautiful, gym is more than serviceable, rooftop is a perfect place to unwind - just to name a few of the many amenities that make this complex the perfect place to call home. Nestled in the heart of Clarendon that’s walking distance from the bustle of the restaurants, bars, and shops, but hugs up against the peace and quiet of the rural neighborhood/parks area. It’s the ultimate package!
The building is brand new and incredibly nice however, the management is awful and it is so loud like a college dorm. I have been woken up in the middle of the night countless times from loud parties with music blaring- I have had to personally knock on the doors and ask people to turn the music down as there is no 24-hour concierge. Last night, I was kept awake until 6 am from a neighbor's party. I can constantly smell the marijuana smoke coming into my apartment through the vents. I had a drunk girl banging on my door to wake me up a 2 am. I came home from work and had another car parked in my spot because they were assigned the same spot that day?... Management is unresponsive and thinks that sending an email with the "rules" of 10 Clarendon will fix the problem or tell you to call the police. I would not recommend living here for the price that they demand.

The Ten is a great building with modern amenities and an extremely friendly staff. The concierges are always smiling and excited to greet you at the door, and the leasing office is quick and willing to remedy any and all problems that you have. Shoutout to Tara for being so helpful and flexible during our move-in. Definitely recommend this place to anybody considering living in NoVA!
The apartment is in a good location and looks nice. The issue is everything breaks and the management is deceptive both before and after I started renting. They lied about access to the lend lease, internet options and parking. I have had my car towed because they could not read the sticker that they provided. I have heard from many other residents that they have had similar issues. On many occasions I witness residents livid at the front desk about some issue when they actually happen to be there which is also inconsistent. As far as I know there is no one at the apartment that has been there for longer than 4 months so everyone is constantly new due to the high turnover.

My rating is more a 2/5 stars for value. Overall, the apartment would be great if there wasn't an obvious lacking need of someone onsite more often. For the price they charge here there should at least be a 24 hour concierge on site, but alas there is not. As a result I am now writing this review at 12:30 in the morning because of another unit blaring their music at this hour. If this complex (which charges higher than others in the area) wants to stay consistent with the market, they should have someone here 24 hours, not only to deal with minor issues but also for security. I don't think there is another apartment complex near this area at this price point that does not have someone 24 hours. Anyway I digress. For inconveniences such as music blaring throughout the hallways past midnight, calling the "apartment emergency" only line feels excessive. For the price I am paying, I should just be able to go downstairs, tell the concierge what's up, and ask them to politely tell these people who think its ok to blast music at this hour to turn it down. Instead I am sitting here with ear plugs in just hoping to fall asleep...yeah dont move here until they fix this. You are paying too much money to be kept up by all the party bros who move in here. PS - ear plugs are not strong enough for this.
