DO NOT MOVE HERE! Idek where to start. First things first, when we were touring this apartment and applied the apartment they showed us was completely updated and actually looked decent however when we moved in it was nothing like the apartment they showed us. It was apparently “updated” but really just had a terrible paint job on all the cabinets. Once we moved in the place started breaking down from when we moved in to now here’s what has happened… our apartment started flooding and nobody at the leasing office had any sense of urgency to get it fixed. Both our showers have clogged and we’ve called maintenance for them both multiple times but it never seems to work so we are always showering with water up to our ankles. Our dish washer fell out… whenever our ac turns on it sounds like a Boeing 747 is taking off. They make you pay for garage parking but literally everyone can get into the garage and won’t get charged for it. The gate to get into the back has broken multiple times. The garage nearly flooded. And my biggest complaint so far is that every single night my upstairs neighbors decided to stomp around from 10pm -4am no joke. Every single night. The worst part is that I’ve emailed Ten01 to help us fix the problem but they simply just said that all we can do is call the security guard. So I’ve called the security guard many many times that I’ve not been able to sleep and it’s ruined my life. They’ve continued to do it and I have not got compensated or have had any help fixing this issue at all. The funny thing is when I was in the leasing office some girl said “do not move here this place sucks” and I laughed at her but now I know she wasn’t playing
Mark-Taylor manages these apartments. Although they look great from the outside, inside they are run down and dumpy. The "management" does not care about requests and will not repair or replace anything more than simple tasks. The pool has literally been torn up for over a year, with the continual story that it's the City's fault for delaying permits, etc. No reduction in rent has been provided but you are asked to pay so many additional fees along with very high rents. The keylocks to the exterior doors often do not work so the doors are just propped open with homeless people allowed to enter, pee in the elevator/halls, etc. Trust me when I tell you that you should look elsewhere.
If you're looking for an apartment and are a serious student or a working professional, look elsewhere. If you're blessed with an apartment that has windows facing one of the four pools you are in for a treat. That treat being the noice, even a whisper, which is amplified between four walls four stories high, so you will be hearing everything happening at the pool area in your apartment as if it was in the apartment with you...windows closed. So, if you're a student working on a degree or a professional working form home you will be overwhelmed with noice. The aforementioned noice will be coming from ASU students (my best guess they make up 90% of the occupancy) who will be playing music filled with profanity (parents with children beware) and won't care if you are finishing a project from home or have a test the next day. If that is not bad enough, the majority of apartments are entered from common hallways which are usually filthy and are also a conduit for noise. That should not be a problem except the door is (my best guess) a hollow core so you can hear every conversation in the hall (and those outside your door can hear yours) and every 'ding' of the arriving elevator all day and all night. It really does not matter who manages the property, because some things like the structure of the building and the demographic being this close to the university is what it is. That being said, if you want to be around ASU students this property is a plus. If you are an ASU student who needs a quiet environment to work towards a degree, or a working professional who needs a quiet setting to work from home, then Ten01 is not for you. If you are a parent with children and care about the music and language (hallways and pools) that your children are exposed to, Ten01 is not for you.
I feel like the Ten 01 does not care about their residents. We havent been able to live in our apartment for over a month due to repairs and it took forever to get anyone to help. We lived here for a year and 4 months. This place became our home, but I wish we didnt renew our lease. Ive never been treated so poorly.
Nice place to live..safe and homey. Great location. Walkway by the lake is beautiful. Gym is nice especially the free weights area.

Ten01 is in a great location central in Tempe and not too far from everything you would need. Nightlife is also not very far either. However the quality of the apartments is not the highest. They have the cheapest appliances they could buy and, in my experience, did not have my apartment fully set up and ready for me on my move in day.

The office staff are rude and blame tenants for the problems in the place. The place is filthy with smelly trash cans that often smell like a dead animal in the parking garage. The office dismantled the payment portal when rent was due. We were told it was temporary and would be working soon. We had to get cashier's checks to pay rent. I had one person let me know that they are not planning on having online payments again, only cashier's checks. Horrible management.

Extremely over priced for poor service. The management is rude, inaccessible and does not answer phone. Maintenance will come look at a broken appliance and then tell you it works just fine. Cannot access the amenities. They charge a premium price for location but the quality of units is low. Bathtub tiles have been painted over and will begin to peel with hot showers. Cheap laminate flooring peels with normal wear and paint on cupboards easily scratches/chips, and you will be charged to repaint when you leave. Pests on premises.

The hallways, stairwells, and doorways are all kept really dirty. I would advise having them kept clean. The community would overall be so much nicer then. Also the roof banners up above the windows by the pools are all torn and hanging. It is not a pleasant sight. Those little things would make the establishment just come off much nicer. Everything else is really great.

Hi, I cannot wait to move out of this complex. I am paying a lot of money to live in a place that is really mediocre at best. The complex only looks good from the front. The back of the building next to the lake looks like garbage because it is over flowing with garbage. The security door next to the lake is broken. The appliances are functional but not nice. Management could do a better job of communicating with their residence regarding service orders (they are nice though). I am really counting the days until I get to leave and I would not recommend anyone lives here.

I like this apartment community. The amenities are above average and are always kept clean. The location is also a huge plus. Tempe town lake is a great place to walk and exercise. Some apartments do need an upgrade.

Cockroaches in the room, even you clean everyday. They still come from other rooms or pipelines. Sometimes you can see dead cockroach body on the outside corridor. Huge stomping from your neighbors everywhere. You complain to the office for many times but there's no help, they just let you get over with it.

My wife and I really liked this place when we moved in just over a year ago. It's right on the lake and has ample parking with newly renovated units. However just before re-signing our lease we noticed that there were beetles and roaches that started appearing in the Kitchen and Bathroom. We had them send out someone to take care of it and noticed them dying and thought we were okay. We signed up for another year, but then the bugs got worse. We've had 3 treatments and still there are roaches, I see at least one a day. We're extremely clean people, so I don't know where they're coming from. It could be that the front door has almost a half inch clearing to the outside so anything could crawl under that, or potentially a neighbor is dirty and they are coming in through the walls. To date nothing has been done to rectify the situation aside from multiple sprays. There are still roaches, but they are offering for us to clean out our whole apartment again for them to spray. . . again. Definitely won't resign our lease and looking for options to break on our end.

Property is trash, Stuff is trash, loud music, animals using hallway as bathroom. owners don't care. Save your money trust me on this.
I would HIGHLY advise against signing a lease with Ten01. My Roommates and I have been here for a little over 5 months and there has been nothing but issues. When we moved in, the unit itself was NO WHERE near move in ready. There were multiple non-functioning lights throughout the unit, one of two air conditioners that was completely non-functional and caused high levels of discomfort being that we live in Arizona and it was the summer time, issues with our floors, fridge, fireplace, blinds, roof (which is still leaking!), caked on dirt and grime in many areas of each of the three bathrooms, graffiti from the previous tenant etc. etc. etc. We have been emailing back and forth the office management for a laundry list of problems since we moved in. If you don't keep up with the office they seem to forget you even exist. When they do remember you, the office seems to relay incorrect information to the maintenance staff. So the maintenance comes in and addresses incorrect issues. We are still awaiting on issues from move in to be fixed. I'm very disappointed in Ten01 because their apartments have amazing layouts but the staff doesn't take care of the place nor their customer. We will absolutely NOT be renewing our lease here. If we could afford to break our lease and moving costs now, we would have been gone already.
I am going through the process of living in Ten01 and it has been quite the experience. Since I was moving rushed into Tempe, because of my work, I had to find an apartment really quickly for the best price possible. Both Joey and Jaime addressed that need very well and went above and beyond to make sure that they were honest about what the situation really was, empathetic of my scenario, and absolutely kind about what they had to do for me in so little time. Thank you to you two for making the experience (Usually a tedious and mundane procedure) so smooth and great! I appreciate the Alliance Management Team for fostering great employees with awesome communication and great leadership in rental management. I am ecstatic about moving-in tomorrow and getting to know the community!
In the elevator: * #1 puddles * #2 smeared on the walls * scooters * shopping carts Poor value: * lack of security - locked gate to the complex has been left wide open since the fire summer 2018 * lack of security - electronically locked bldg doors have not worked since summer of 2018 * lack of promised amenities- fitness center closed since fire * lack of promised amenities- rooftop patio closed since fire * lack of promised amenities- pool closed for over a mo now * have had to open maint tickets four times each for 2 different issues * garbage left all over by college students * at move-in, my white socks quickly turned dark gray - carpet had not been cleaned * scooters all over sidewalks * dog #2 on sidewalks, asphalt, rock gravel, hallways, elevators * multiple false fire alarms * bathtub is painted, literally. They say it's "resurfaced". No, it's painted. * carpet is the incredibly low-end, low pile density, cheap carpet
Bought out by a massive company. Staff doesn’t want to help at all with issues. Was an okay place is not good now
The new management is terrible and staff was very rude and disrespectful (Beverly is her name). When you pay as much as I do, you expect better.
I have had ongoing maintenance and technology issues with Grigio. I agree with other reviews that dealing with Pavlov Media (they handle internet, cable, and phone) has been an absolute nightmare, but it's not just their fault. I was without cable for 41 days due to an ongoing squabble between Pavlov and Grigio because they both blamed the other for the issue and were trying to avoid having to fix it. The only reason it's resolved is because the weather got cooler (it was an overheating issue) so I have every expectation that it will happen again. I'm now having issues with my internet (going on 10 days now). The on-site maintenance is also atrocious. The few things I've had them fix rather than handling it myself have been poorly handled. The gas oven in my unit still smells of leaking gas every time I use it, though it's been insinuated that it's all in my head. Then there are the pest issues. I have had issues with spiders for the entire time I've lived here (one crawled across my neck while I was laying in bed) and recently found a cockroach in my dining room. The front office people are all very nice and helpful, but the issues keep coming.
So first off, be ready for college students. They are not too loud from what I've had to deal with, but they tend to leave garbage around the place and cause minor damage. The rooms themselves are pretty nice and the location is great. The problem comes if you have an emergent issue. I had a major leak and it leaked for almost 2 hours before getting stopped, 60 minutes of the time was just waiting for them to arrive. Same night, had issues with fire alarms going off due to water damage. Took over one hour just to call back, another 35 minutes to arrive and fix the issue. Ended up developing 2 separate leaks in my apartment the next night which took forever for them to respond but thankfully that one happened earlier so I could still get some sleep. So you can move in if you'd like, but just hope you don't have any overnight issues.
Grigio is about convenience and healthy living. If you like an active lifestyle, you can hop right on to a bike path that will take you through 16 miles of golf courses and golf communities, called the "greenbelt". If you're more of a water person, you can take a kayak or boat and go for an early morning row. Grigio makes it easy for you as they have bikes and kayaks readily available as one of the amenities. Or you can just walk. ASU campus is just a stone's throw away. It is one of the most walkable areas in Phoenix. Sushi, bikeshop, bagels, burrito, froyo, Starbucks, burger joint. A conference room and business center. Spacious lounge and rooftop lounge, a great place to see fireworks on adjacent Tempe Town Lake. And that you can see from 20 foot windows available on some of the units. The staff is helpful and friendly, very accommodating and efficient. Perfect if you travel a lot because it's just a jaunt from the airport. Located right off the major north south throughway and near a very large outdoor mall complex with movie theaters, restaurants, shops, and the occasional outdoor band.
I'm writing about the Grigio Tempe Town Lake Apartments. They are the best! Three large buildings are included in the package. I, myself live in the Grigio Comtemperary Living Apartments. Lots of young people from the ASU Campus are starting to rent and it's filling up fast with new students. The apartments are located on the Tempe Town Lake of Tempe, Arizona centrally located one mile from Mill Avenue where all the shops, student shopping stores and local bars where singles meet every day. Many fun activities happen in the area and there is a path located that is used for biking, roller skating, skate Boarding, dog walking and running. Also there are the team canoe classes you can watch every day. Excellent lighting for romantic night walking with picnic tables and water for pets and adults. I am an older person and the parking is convenient for handicap people with indoor or outside parking your choice. Something is always going on with Spin Classes, Yoga Classes, Laundry pick up each week and Apartment scheduled Pool Parties. I am so happy to have found this great Apartment building to live in I feel young again and happy with each day.
Where to begin, this complex is absolutely beautiful! Right on the water of Tempe Town Lake and conveniently next to the freeway (Yet not too close you can hear it.) The atmosphere is great. You get a wide range of culture and age diversity. Although the management team needs a little more help with their leasing, they are always friendly and will get all service requests done promptly! The first day of moving in I noticed my thermostat was broken and in less than 15 minutes they had someone come replace it. The facilities are nice too! The gym is gorgeous and overlooks all of downtown Tempe/the lake, there are three pools that are well kept, and they have security gates at every entrance with a call button to easily let guest in. The price you're paying for your rent doesn't even start to cover the satisfaction you'll receive!
