Consistently ranking as one of the best places to live in the country, Murfreesboro is growing fast – and for good reason! Settled in 1811, this city was named for a Revolutionary War hero, and it’s held its historic roots ever since. Residents can explore the city’s local history at a variety of museums, including the Oaklands Historic Museum, the Bradley Academy Museum, and the Stones River National Battlefield. Murfreesboro is also home to Middle Tennessee’s only Museum of Natural History.
For those who enjoy cultural events and entertainment, the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts hosts concerts, live theater performances, and more. Enjoy the local events around the city, such as the Main Street Music Jazzfest and the International Folk Fest! Murfreesboro’s local university, Middle Tennessee State University, is growing just as quickly as the city itself. This top-notch institution is known for its programs in aerospace and music, and adds to the artistic charm of Murfreesboro.

Property Ratings at Tennessee Park Apartments
As a resident of Tennessee Park since 2016, I recently renewed my lease. I have lived in (and loved) my apartment for eight years. Conveniently located near major commuting streets and highways, shopping areas, and MTSU, Tennessee Park serves my needs very well. The property management staff are responsive to resident concerns and to making improvement in the community. This tenant is very satisfied with Tennessee Park!
The apartments are a good deal when it comes to space and compared to other complexes in the area. Units include a full-size washer and dryer, and I believe they are doing some minor upgrades when tenants vacate. Parking is less than fantastic, particularly in the far back of the complex. There are no parking stickers, and the rules are rarely enforced. Just to warn you, there is a frat house nearby that is outside of the city limits that sometimes has extraordinarily loud events at night, but so far this doesn't happen often. The biggest issue we've had is mold. An inspector came through a couple of years ago and said he was going to suggest they install better weather stripping, but that was never done. I don't know how widespread the issue is, but he mentioned my unit was not the only one with problems. I'm hoping it's one of the things they're adding as units turn over tenants, but I don't know if that's the case. A 960 sqft, 2-bedroom apartment that's this close to the MTSU campus for $745 is hard to beat, but the mold is something to consider and question.
The apartments are spacious for 2-3 people for very decent rent. Pest control and maintenance are always quick to reply to requests and fix your problem. You get a washer and dryer in each unit. All in all, not a bad home, especially if it is your first home.
