Terraces on the Hudson

This apartment community is solid! The staff is nice and the community is well maintained. Parking is totally adequate. Fellow residents are great and the community hosts events so you can actually meet your neighbors. The only downsides are the noise being close to the main street in town, high rent/amenity fees, only one trash building that gets full quickly.

I'm a resident for about 10 years, beautiful community. The staff members go beyond their duty. Nice neighborhood. I love the events hosted by the leasing office.

Terraces on the Hudson is a small cozy residential community located midway between Croton and Ossining. The residents and staff are are friendly. Social events are fun and facilities and maintenance are superb. I highly recommend it.

Management is excellent and responsive. Grounds, pool and gym are immaculate, well kept and clean. I would highly recommend living here! Having laundry in unit is a huge help!

Comfortable living experience, nice staff and fellow residents, only bummer is they reduced the pool hours this summer but the amenity fee is still the same. They could also increase the trash collection

I have been a resident at Terraces on the Hudson (previously Avalon) for nine years. The location is great. The staff is courteous and very attentive. The services and amenities are comparable to any condo complex. When it was time to leave my home in Ossining this was an easy transition. It’s wonderful to live maintenance free. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

For my first apartment it is like living in a dream. I love it, I have made friends, everything is so clean and I just never want to leave because I love every single thing about it.

When Terraces took over the property from Avalon, I had already decided to move when my lease was up due to the rent increase. I was open to staying depending on how Terraces managed the property and was disappointed when they raised my rent 31% despite there being no improvements to my apartment or to the property. The one positive of living at Terraces is the responsiveness and care from the maintenance department, who do an excellent job of keeping up the property and responding to requests for issues that arose in the apartment.

Wonderful place and beautiful property. I feel safe and spoiled. The amenities are wonderful.

I found Terraces on the Hudson for my mother. We lost my father in January of 2022 so moving was stressful for her. She wanted to stay in Ossining to keep her home health care providers and her doctors. The compassion of the staff and their willingness to go above and beyond for us was so appreciated. The grounds and buildings are spotless. The apartments are safe, clean and spacious. The maintenance and office staff are always helpful. I pay her rent through the portal which is easy to maneuver. I am very happy we found this place.

Terraces on the Hudson, since taking over from Avalon has not shown any improvement in caring about the community tenants. They have not delighted our property with any seasonal ambiance. (No lights on any trees during Christmas holidays) Lack of awareness in occupied apts is growing concerns as we never receive any notice on the status of the longevity on our appliances.

Overall the apartment building, amenities, and staff, are great. It’s very cozy and feels more like a home than other apartments I’ve seen. Parking is also great and free.

In general maintenance is very good! Gardening desires more action and professionalism. Feedback from the office has a lot to be desired. Also, the office is not open on Sunday, the day where potential tenants come visit. Also very often there is an unexpected closure. I have on numerous occasions offered to be available on those days on a voluntary basis, however no reaction. We love staying here, but it is discerning that so many people only stay here for a short time. Also, as a result, the rates go up every time and that’s very upsetting for those people, like us, who would like to stay here. Thank you. Apt. 4101

the acoustics are horrible, I hear everything the tenants above me are doing. people leave personal items in the hallways and outside of the buildings, management sends out emails requesting they get moved and they are back a week later. Fed-ex, amazon, UPS just leave packages in the entry way, not the nicest thing to look at when you walk in the door especially if you are with guests. the air conditioners are very loud. the people who live here all seem to be very nice.

Greystar took over the management of this complex last year. So far, the only change I've noticed is more community events, which are nice and would be nicer if they extended beyond 5pm so people who work can attend.
