Property Ratings at Textile Lofts
I lived at Textile Lofts for nearly 5 years (since it opened) and my experience there was entirely positive. The apartments are spacious and quiet, and the building was always exceptionally clean and well maintained. It’s also conveniently located close to the Path, NJ Transit and Amtrak/NYC. Management was always approachable and quickly addressed any concerns. I can sincerely say that it has been my best rental experience. I only moved because life circumstances took me to another state.
I’ve been here for a year and I can sincerely say this is the best building I’ve ever rented from! The apartments are spacious with high ceilings. They are also well lit, surprisingly even from the railroad side. Very cozy, as well. The neighborhood is safe and quieter than other areas. Conveniently right off rt 21 and only a two-minute walk to Penn Station. The laundry facilities are cleaned daily and there is trash removal every day (even weekends so it’s rarely stinky). Management and maintenance are very responsive and update tenants on any changes or slight inconveniences as soon as possible. They are quick to resolve any issues. The only inconvenience is the street parking. At times it’s a race to a spot. The alternate side parking Wednesdays and Thursdays can be a pain but it’s more than a fair compromise for this gem of a building!
I lived at Textile Lofts for two years before moving back to the suburbs. It was SUCH a great experience. The apartments felt very spacious and surprisingly quiet. It was so great being walking distance to Newark Penn, it made my commute into NYC a lot easier. The building was very well maintained, meticulously cleaned and the laundry facility downstairs was always clean. I had a great experience living here and would recommend it to anyone.
Great staff, excellent place to live and close to transportation to NYC. Office and Living room sizes are above average for luxury apartments.
I’ve been a tenant at the Textile Lofts since December 2019. I love the Ironbound. It’s a culinary Mecca for Spanish, Portuguese, and Brazilian food, its safe, and the value of its close proximity to mass transit and NYC cannot be understated, especially if you don’t have a car. All lines lead to NWK. The building itself is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. In addition, the hallways and common areas always smell great and are immaculately clean. Building management has been super responsive to any questions I’ve had. More importantly, they go above and beyond for their tenants to ensure they’re safe, comfortable, and happy. This place is a gem.
I work in Newark and this place is a lifesaver!! 1. It's close to the Newark Penn Station. Taking a train or subway you can go all the major places much faster and cheaper than driving! 2. New building - everything is brand new. It seems the developer really put in some serious thoughts on design. Many details are very considerate and the décor is very modern. 3. Great management! To be honest, enjoying all the considerate management actions makes me wonder if the owner is actually loosing money...
My fiancé and I have lived at Textile Lofts for over a year now and moved into the building right when it opened! We moved from Colorado to Newark and had no experience with the location beforehand. First things first, we absolutely love our apartment! It is very spacious and a wonderfully unique design! Most of the apartments have details from the previous design of the building, built in the early 1800's! There are quaint brick walls and woods beams that give this building a really urban and city like feel to it, while keeping some of the history! Living here for over a year now, I can say that the apartment facility is extremely clean and I love that! Our day to day facilities manager, Paul, is a fantastic guy, and gets everything done and taken care of in a timely manner. Our leasing manager is fantastic as well and I can come to him if I ever have a problem (not that I have needed to). The staff is great about communicating to the tenants when there is roadwork or work being done around the facility! Besides our apartment, the best thing about this building, is that its close to everything! It's just a few minutes walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, gym, dry cleaners, tons of restaurants and Newark Penn Station. Not to mention about a 15 minute car ride to the Newark International Airport. We really enjoy living here! The building is quiet and has beautiful views from the rooftop, where you can sit and relax, while enjoy the NYC skyline. We really look forward to living here for the foreseeable future!
Textile lofts is the ideal apartment building! You are literally footsteps away from newark penn station which means you can be in New York City in minutes. They are located in the epicenter of the city across from the Prudential center in the IronBound district. The building itself is sleek, rustic and modern. They are very attentive to detail here and are run by a great management group, whom conveniently opened a 3rd space (shared work space) next door. The opportunities created here are endless and curated for your ideal living.

Building management should have more than a single point of contact for tenants and management could be run more professionally. Also, J&L should have installed sound proof windows on the side of the building adjacent to the railroad tracks due to noise.
