Property Ratings at TGM Anchor Point
Me & My Family Moved Here Last year , we thought this is the most beautiful apt we ever seen and we took it right away a little short after moving in one elevator stopped working (mid oct) and is still out of service then the second elevator is out of service since the 2 week of this month and both are now out of service, the maintenance freaking suck the only elevator that is being used is on the other side of the building and is disgusting at times and even going down the stair there piece of trash these peoples dont care about anything just want to take your money and it sad because we are hardworking people trying to provide for our family and it looks like we live in the hood !
If you like staying at a Marriott Courtyard (which is to say dull, bland, non-inviting, stained carpets in the hallways), this is your place. Many things are wrong here... - Security - although the property is gated, the garage doors are always open. Anyone can get in. Two weeks after moving in, my personal property was stolen from a locked storage room and the staff could care less. I was told to call the police. Zero security cameras. - Staff - too busy to care. Generally, not pleasant. - Units - very dated, cheaply made, mostly non-working appliances. Thin walls. Every room and ceiling painted the same drab beige color. Like living in an asylum. - Property - the main reason I moved here, but it's not what I hoped. It's next to Bocuzzi park, which is a drug dealer haven. Police are there at least once per week. Loud music playing well into most nights. The property grounds are essentially a dog toilet. It's close to the water - so that's good, I guess. - Amenities - average at best. Basic gym equipment. Pool is ok, but no furniture. The theater has old connections, so it's hard to use. Basketball court is good, but the problem is that it (and the theater) is only open when the leasing staff is working. So if you work during the day, you will never be able to use these amenities. E.g., staff goes home at 5pm on weekends, which means no movie night for you! They do offer a coffee machine, which is nice, but no matter which button you press, you get plain black :( For the money, it's not even close to being worth it. Look elsewhere.
Beyond the new leasing center area rebuilt … beyond the doors to see apartments it needs an update of paint abs removal of carpet as many community people do not care if or responsible for their messes in hallways… the trash areas/elevators are not properly kept up and or cleaned!! No security, Mgmt does not stick to the leasing requirements! Their are no ramifications or fines outlined in the lease.
This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Not only are the apartments very outdated and VERY loud (water and heat pipes, hear upstairs neighbors walking/talking) the leasing staff are SO rude and inconsiderate. They only want your money and don't care about if you're happy in your living situation and will not fix any of your maintenance issues unless they're life threatening. I am counting down the months until my lease is up so I can get out of here.
I have lived at TGM for one year. Had to leave because I relocated to a different state. My overall experience was very good. Spacious, clean and modern apartments right by the water. Maintenance request are solved right away. Leasing office staff and management very respectful, accommodating and kind. My move in, my stay and move out were all easy and seamless. Can not be better. I have lived in different apartments for quite some time, by far TGM excels in every respect. Highly recommend this apartment if you are in Stamford area.
I strongly don't recommend living here. They got really bad services.
Property Manager at TGM Anchor Point, Responded To This Review
We're disappointed to see you aren't more satisfied with our service, as we always strive to provide our current and potential residents with friendly, professional communications. If you would like to further discuss your observations and help us refine our welcoming environment, please come by our office or give us a call. We look forward to assisting you.
If you're a non smoker, don't come here. They allow smoking in apartments, if you live over, under, alongside a smoker you will be miserable. And the manager is a smoker, so he's no help. There is no security. No doormen, no security cameras, no night walking security guard. This is a gentrifying neighborhood with an unlit park next door. If security is a concern, don't come here. The apartments may be a little bigger than the brand new apartments for around the same price (I looked) but the appliances, flooring, counters are old. They use wall to wall carpeting to muffle sounds, I think my carpeting is from 2002.
It is a really expensive apartments complex, it has a lot of amenities but since there is so many families you can barely get to use them. You pay for everything even the garbage and of course the amenities and by the end of my lease I failed to inform 60 days before I had to pay to break my own lease that was over, way more money than the actual rent. Do not recommend it at all, the renew increase is huge they only care about how much money can get from you. Really cheap apartments, a lot of small things broke, the bathroom is the worse, tiles in the tub have mold, not renting back there any time soon.
After living in our last apartment complex, which I can only describe as a complete and utter nightmare, moving to TGM Anchor Point was like finding an oasis in the urban jungle of Stamford, Connecticut. Everyone from the leasing office to the shuttle driver are super friendly and very helpful. Their customer service is top notch! The apartments are very spacious, but still maintain a warm, comfortable, and homey feel. And as if that wasn't enough the price cannot be beat! We moved from an 800 sq ft one bedroom apartment to a 1200 sq ft two bedroom apartment for the SAME PRICE!! Needless to say, it is an absolute joy to come home to Anchor Point after a long day of work, and I would recommend this place to anyone.
great location, the staff is very friendly. one of the good thing is that it has a suttlle that takes you to the train station. Also, it has great amenities that includes a brand new fitness center, racket ball and basket ball court. I would recommend it to any body
I moved like 2 months ago,. I like the amenities for my son, the apt size is good but the carpet is one of the thing I don't like,
A quiet little getaway near the harbor. Perfect for anyone who enjoys living the city life without all the hustle and bustle!
This is a great location in Stamford with easy access to the Harbor Point area and with a park next door, direct walking access to the walking pier and just down the street from Dolphin Cove, a beautiful walking neighborhood. Great people, lots of parking, good value, with water and pool views and lovely walking and park access nearby. Has a pool, lots of parking option and easy access to I-95, Train Station and Downtown Stamford.
I have lived in this location for 5 years and I awaken daily feeling as if I am on vacation ! The views overlooking the water are amazing! I am very pleased with the esthetic improvements that TGM has made in the complex. Our modern amenities are unparalleled for this part of the northeast . If you are looking for spacious ,beautiful and upscale living , this should certainly be a consideration! I have lived on this property for 5 years and I simply love it! The views of the water from this property are stunning. I step out on my deck and feel as if I am on vacation everyday ! The property is well mantained and I feel safe within this gated commumity. The spaciousness of the apartment homes as well as the modern amenities are unparalleled in the area. Tomeka Martin-TGM Anchor Point 150 Southfield,Apt. 2412 Stamford, Ct. 06902
With TGM taking over at the beginning of 2015 from Avvalon, several aspects of the property went backwards. No online payment for rent, no email notices for packages and no online maintenance requests are just a few examples of the typical amenities that regressed back to the 20th century. Though some of these have been resolved (ie. Package notification) and several upgrades have been made to the complex and the apartments the transition in management is still being felt. Thankfully this does not take away from the apartments water views and the direct harbor access that make this complex so special in the first place.
TGM Anchor point (previously Avalon at Stamford Harbor) is perfect if you like a quite neighborhood but not too far from hustle and bustle of main stamford city and train station (less than 1 mile away). Community has excellent amenities like outdoor swimming Pool, Racquet-ball court, Gym, Basketball court, Pool table, Computer room and a Business Center. The boardwalk around the community along the harbor is perfect, if you like to take leisurely walk anytime during the day or night. Along with all these, there is a park next to the community which features tennis court, baseball ground, football ground and a children's play area. The list doesn't end here, there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants at walking distance and a free ferry ride (during summer) to nearby restaurants. Its like everything within the reach of your hand.
I like my apartment but... I was definitely the victim of bait and switch. I was told I could not see the apartment till the day I moved in. Should have realized something was wrong. Basically there is a giant tree outside my windows and my view is ruined. I paid extra to have a view of the harbor. In addition I share a wall with the garbage chutes which are very noisy. The staff has done nothing about my complaints and lied that they were going to get the tree trimmed back several times. It us also a young crowd and I am almost a senior. I was told there was a good mix of people. The staff has also lost my packages at least once. Although about 1 mile from the train station I wouldn't walk it at night.
Fantastic location for enjoying living and commuting. TGM Anchor Point has newly upgraded apartments as well as start-of-the art work-out rooms and equipment. The common areas are well-kept and well lighted. Garage parking...no more shoveling or running from the rain. Secure entry with electronic fobs! Beautiful grounds and landscape. Outdoor courtyard with luscious landscaping and pool with BBQ's, great for relaxing. Easy walk to the dock for sunrise and sunset views of the sound. Nice neighbors too!
