1). Trash everywhere 2. People do not pick up after their pets 3. There was a stressful kitchen and renovation 4. I reported having raccoons which are cute but not in the attic 5. They're renovating the gym which means there's limited access to packages because you can only go during office hours 6. Significant rent increase It's only just livable for the moment.
This apartment community controls your air conditioner and heating. Twice a year they come in to switch from either air conditioner to heater or heater to air conditioner. We now have temperatures in the 90s and they have neglected to turn our air on yet so if you like living in an oven then this might be your place!
When me and my roomate moved in during April of 2022 we were excited to move into our first apartment which looked nice especially compared to other places we toured in the area; this was when the complex was still managed by PANCO. The management at the time was very responsive to emails but sadly while moving things into the apartment were were discouraged to find the apartment already had pests (cockroaches). Management would send pest control upon request however months later we still see them. In July the apartment complex was bought by TGM and since then there has been one thing after the other. First of all, don’t bother emailing them because they will never respond, you have to go to the leasing office in person for any issues. Secondly, since being bought out maintenance has been a nightmare. I put a request in for a toilet repair which was resolved but for some reason maintenance came a second time unannounced while I was napping (with out a shirt!) thankfully I was able to get dressed before they made it to my room.. management aside the dumpsters are DISGUSTING, overflowing half the time with people throwing their trash bags on the ground instead of in the dumpster (even when empty) which I’m sure further feeds the pest problem in the community. Most of the cockroaches I see are a small species however tonight I was in my room and one the size of my thumb flew onto my bed out of no where. I also want to preface that I am terrified of them and because of that I make sure to keep the apartment clean at all times, but they travel from surrounding apartments and I’m left feeling helpless. if you want a place you can relax at the end of the day DONT rent here. I can’t wait until my lease is up and I can find a place that actually cares about its residents, which is sadly difficult when on a budget.
First off, people here are inconsiderate. Loud music in the parking lots, fights in the parking lots, neighbors on top floor walking like elephants, etc. I’ve emailed management 3 times in the last 7-8 days about my downstairs neighbors whose two or three dogs bark nonstop for 20-30 minutes on end every night, and I’ve received no response. The trash bin areas on the property are disgusting. Lazy people throw their bags on the ground instead of in the dumpsters. Animals come and rip open the bags so there’s always little bits of trash everywhere. I understand it’s an apartment complex, and there’s going to be noise. I get it. But when it’s dog barking, which, allowing your dog to bark for ten consecutive minutes is against PWC code…., and it goes on forever, and nothing is done, it’s like what the heck am I paying for. I can’t even sleep in my own home.
I am a current resident soon to leave and GOOD RIDDANCE! While I do like the spaciousness of my apartment, the fixtures are pretty sloppy. The place is not a total eyesore, but you can tell the maintenance staff cut corners on a lot of repairs/painting. The office staff are pretty unpleasant to deal with. Very condescending but deceptively nice at first (except Ebony—she’s great)! Another problem I have is the dreadful appliances (may not apply to new residents) and the occasional centipedes. They’re pretty frightening to look at; usually a problem in the spring/summer/raining days. If you’re desperate for a home or just plain tired of apartment hunting, you’ll appreciate this place... until you don’t.

I toured this property on Oct. 27 and the agents we're too occupied by pizza and a son being in the office to even say hi to me. Told me to go take a seat at the tables. could hear them talking bad about me being there while in the office. I take a look around and there are coffee cups left on tables and the counter. a gentleman comes out and during our whole tour. I felt rushed. additionally cups were left in the "media room" (my living room TV is bigger than that thing. ) only perk to this complex is a gas stove.
It's a great place to live... Very quite and the office has a great respond to their communities and customer service is very exclent but, the only problems we have is the train it's so loud sometimes...overall everything else is fine...and they also accept cats and dogs too of course you have to pay rent for them. There are many wonderful things about living here, first off was a pool party when we moved in. Tupperware party too, that I stumbled across. Everyone is friendly & the third floor has catherdral ceilings in main parts. Makes it feel more roomy. And there is plenty of parking @ any time I arrive. Close to everything you need.
We love living here, and have called Chatsworth home for the last 7 years. The new manager Lori is fantastic, and has done a great job at improving the community and hosting fun events and activities to help promote a sense of community. The staff wins regional awards and is just as motivated to provide great service. We searched all over Manassas for the best apartment and do so reluctantly each year when our lease ends - Chatsworth was and still is the best choice for us! Ryan and Karen
In 2012, my family and I moved from a house in GA to our very first apartment in VA. We chose Chatsworth Park Apartments for a few reasons. They have a reliable maintenance staff. The buildings are modern and stylish. The management knows our name and treats us like family. The pool is the perfect cool down spot in the summer and it also has a lifeguard. The apartment complex is close to everything; shopping, the highway, 2 colleges. When we moved to VA, our plan was to only stay in an apartment for 1 year while we looked for a house. We have been here for 3 years now and we plan on staying for a while.
What I love most about this community is how helpful and understanding the management team is. They do everything in their power to ensure you are happy with your stay and that you will have everything you need. They respond to work orders in a timely manner and they send out weekly updates and happenings within the community. The apartments themselves are well designed and spacious.
